Lily blinked in shock and follow Keanu. "We-We really might get a home and a.. job.. a real one.." She said looking at the ground in shock. "I-I cant even believe.." She looked up at Keanu.

"We might actually have food that doesn't look like it was previously tortured." He looked down at his hands then looked up when he heard foot steps. It was man wearing a flannel with the sleeves rolled back and Jean's. His face was beat red and he was covered in mud. He looked at them for a second then went inside. "Lily do you think that was him?" He asked with a hint of panic in his voice.

Lily sat in shock. "I- Oh god," she breathed heavily. "Um lets just wait it out Im sure it will be fine," she said sounding more like she was trying to convince herself. "Maybe he just looks like that. Im sure it will be fine," she added a hint of anxiety still in her voice.

After a minute the man cam back out followed by the woman they stood in front of them. The woman was smiling but the man looked grumpy. "Alright you two are in theres cabin next to our you two can stay. We work from sun up to sun down on most days. You'll receive a list inside your cabin when we are ready for you to start working. Oh and I'm Mr.Orchid and this is Mrs.Orchid. you can have our first name we actually trust you." And with that mr.orchid left. "Don't mind him you two. After we eat some lunch we can start de weeding the garden." She held the screen door open for them and waited for them to walk in.

Lily blinked she stood and reached her hand out to Keanu. "Come on we got this," she whispered. She looked confident and determined. She smiled trying to reassure him.

He took her hand and whispered "If you say so. For all you know we could be poisoned in the near future by them." Mrs.Orchid motioned for them to sit at the table and placed some soup and cornbread in front of them. "Would you two like some sweet tea?" Sitting keanu looked at the food in front of him. It looked warm and delicious. He quickly glanced up at Lily. "What is sweet tea?" He whispered to her.

"No clue," Lily responded nervously. "Um. Mrs. Orchid? What is iced tea?" She asked clearly confused. "Ive never heard of it. Now Im curious," she said trying to not sound weird.

She simply laughed and poured them both a glass. She sat it down next to there bowls and smiled. "You two really don't know what sweet tea is?" She asked them. "No mam we came from a umm home where we were only aloud to drink water." He told her then looked over to lily hoping she would also say something.

Lily nodded. "Our parents didnt trust companies who made drinks. They were very stuck with their believes," she added. "We were very sheltered kids," she said a bitter edge to her voice. "We grew up next door to each other and our families were practically the same family so we both grew up in the same way," she explained.

"Oh you poor things. Well that's definitely going to change now that your working for me and my husband. Now eat up you two so we can get started in the garden we have a busy day ahead of us." She smiled at them and walked into the livingroom. Keanu looked up at lily and smiled. "We have real food. Real warm food." His eyes lit up with joy.
