Ava's words surprised Aelia, how could someone be so kind? Then again, there were probably quite a few people like that, they just were rather rare in royalty. Granted, most nobles were entitled, bossy brats and Aelia couldn't stand a single one of them. If anything, that made her sound like a brat. Sometimes she just really wished she was normal.
Aelia looked up at the sun for a moment, gauging how much time she had before she'd have to go back. A sly smile slipped onto Aelia's face, and she couldn't help but take up Ava's offer. It would be a long time before she'd be able to go out again. It was best to do a lot now, before she was stuck inside the palace for the rest of her life. "If you wouldn't mind, that would be wonderful. Though, I truly don't want to be any burden on you, I must seem rather naive to you." Lia looked down, her cheeks turning pink from embarrassment. 'R-regardless, if you wouldn't mind, I'd love to go shopping with you. I mean, you saw that I have more than enough money for it." Aelia winced at her words, that was probably not the right thing to say. Oh how she hated social interaction.

Ava just grinned, half closed eyes glimmering, "Wait here. I'll go get the tailor's daughter." Ava expertly wove through the market, and knocked on the tailor's door, slipping inside. Moments later, Ava and another girl - who seemed to be around 15 - exited the shop. Ava passed a few coins to the younger girl, who counted them, then stuffed them into a pocket hidden within the folds of her dress.
The two made it back to Ava's stall, where she introduced to two, "Lia, this is Daisy - Daisy, this is Lia." Daisy did a cocky two-fingered salute, " 'Ello there. Nice t' meet ya, Miss." Randy slunk out from under the cart, pausing to look at Ava, who stared right back. At the same time, Ava turned to Lia, and Randy rubbed against Daisy's legs, then jumped up to perch on the side of the stall, "Randy will stick with you, Daisy. If she starts yowling, something's wrong. Trust her on that." Daisy nodded, a serious expression coming over her face, "Alright A - I know the drill."

Once Ava disappeared, Aelia realized that this was the perfect time to get peasant clothing that wasn't so damn itchy. Technically, as long as it wasn't too expensive, she would be able to blend right in with the rest of the crowd. Lia would never be able to pull off trousers like Ava did, but she didn't see too many women wearing trousers other than Ava. Aelia assumed that meant that getting a dress would be simple, and it didn't have to be fancy, she just wanted to wear something not as itchy as this one.
Aelia was making sure her money pouch was safely tucked away when Ava returned. The young woman looked up and gave the new girl, Daisy, a friendly smile. "It is a pleasure to meet you too Daisy." Aelia was beginning to think that her upright way if speaking was a dead giveaway that she wasn't normal.

Daisy cocked her head at Lia, her face squishing together as she took a moment to think. Whatever she internally debated seemed to have a good outcome, and Daisy's face broke out into another large smile, "Both of ye - shoo! I h've 't all under control!" Ava laughed, "Okay then. See you in a bit." Ava steered Lia out into the street, and walked beside her, hands tucked into trousers pockets, "Soo... what were you wanted to get first?"

Aelia had been nervous when Daisy stared so intently at her, and was very relieved when the girl smiled. For a moment, she'd thought that her odd way of speaking and mannerisms in general had ruined her cover. If any guard, or royalty, found out she was out by herself, galavanting the streets like a peasant, she'd be locked up in the palace and not heard from till her coronation. It would not be fun.
Lia snapped out of it once they started walking, and soon she was entranced by the bustle of the streets. She'd walked through here four times now, and hadn't had the time to really look around as she'd been too busy fighting the crowd. Now though, she was really looking at it all. Ava's question steered her out of her own thoughts. "Oh uh, well I kind of wanted to get a new dress, not anything fancy, but something that isn't as itchy. I have others but I don't want to get them dirty out here."
Aelia immediately regretted her words, would she always be so loose lipped?

Ava immediately steered the two of them across the street, going with the flow of the crowd instead of fighting it. She held a loose grip on Lia's elbow, so the two wouldn't be separated, "Then we should go to the tailor's - where Daisy's mother works. She's the best, and only, one in town, but the clothes she designs are comfortable."
Ava didn't spend a lot of time in town, but she knew her way around, and how to manage the crowd. It was something a person learned right away in a new place. Ava assumed that Lia was probably a very sheltered child, with little opportunity to learn about the outside world. She was probably the daughter of a Lord, or had a wealthy businessman or trader as a father. Ava had seen people like Lia before, and had offered to help them as well. They normally were grateful, and hung on Ava's arm, looking terrified of everything around them.

Although Aelia stayed close to Ava, she wasn't completely focused on the other woman. She was captivated by the sights and sounds and people, so many different people. They were all human of course, and nothing like her, but that's what made them so fascinating. Aelia was so used to other nobles and royalty, shrinking away from her presence or staring at her like she was some sort of parasite. Granted, she was pretty damn sure that if Ava saw her ears, really looks at her huge eyes, or noticed that her skin was almost tinted green, she'd look at Aelia like she was a completely person.
Aelia had gotten used to the stares, whispers and pointing long ago. She was well prepared for a life on the throne that would be formed mostly around her husband's work and not her own. As everyone doubted both her ability to rule, and the people even listening to their bastard queen. A husband would be mandatory, and not an option before she took the throne.
Aelia was dragged out of her thoughts by Ava's voice, and her sad, sad look was soon replaced by a beaming smile. "Oh that would be wonderful! Thank you Ava!" The young woman grinned at Ava as they drifted so easily thought the crowd. Much easier than Aelia's previous tactic. It was nice not having to fight the crowd. She'd have to figure out how to get through the crowd on her own soon.

Ava tugged Lia inside a cozy shop, with dresses, shirts, hats, and other clothing items hung up on the wall or on racks. An older woman who was sat at a sewing machine waved at the two girls entering the shop, and Ava waved back.
"Are you looking for dresses, or trousers?" Ava questioned, looking around the shop. She normally wore trousers to the market and around the house when she was working, as they didn't get in the way like a dress tended to do. Therefor, most of Ava's closet consisted of brown pants a light colored button-ups.

Aelia was completely the opposite, both by choice and not. She actually did enjoy some dresses, and she liked the intricacy of the patterns, plus, they made her feel pretty. Most people found her ugly due to her pointy ears and large eyes and tinged green skin. Dresses made her feel important, and helped her confidence. There were two pairs of trousers in her closet, and that was it. Skirts were also in there as well, but they were more for casual, everyday wear than dresses. Plus, her father found trousers weren't fit for a princess.
"Probably another dress, maybe two, I only ever really wear dresses and skirts. My father doesn't believe a lady should wear trousers, though I don't particularly agree with that. Regardless, dresses are really pretty, and I like them well enough." Aelia shrugged, her smile never leaving her delicate face.

Ava smiled, "Here, you look at that rack. I'll try to find something over on this rack," she pointed to the respective racks, and started to look through them. After a few minutes, the only noise being clothing rustling, Ava pulled out something, and looked up, "Lia, what do you think of this?"
There were a few layers to the dress - an off-white under dress made of a soft cotton, where the sleeve ended around mid-bicep, then an over skirt that was a dull red, and a plain black corset made of some soft fabric. There was a belt to tie it all off, which Ava had slung around her neck.
