Okey)) ~ The smell of heavenly pasta filled Addilyn's nose, and Tam's as well. Addilyn had yet to try it, but she already loved it. While she had been waiting, words had filled the page and she was pretty content with what had slipped out of her mind. Tam meanwhile, was ecstatic that he was getting some cuddle time in, as it seemed like Addilyn had less and less time to relax recently.

Jason carefully set the table, even lighting a candle that flickered peacefully. While Jason dimmed the lights, he called out in a low voice, "Dinner is ready. I have plates over here so you can grab the pasta and sauce." There was a romantic vibe in the air, but Jason wasn't focused too hard on that. The hope was for Addilyn to be able to relax, and not have to worry. He knew it had been a stressful day, and if Jason could do anything to help, he would.

Addilyn immediately sat up when Jason called, saving her work and closing her laptop gently. Slipping off the couch, Tam at her heels, she made her way to the kitchen, taking in a deep breath of the smell of heavenly pasta. Good food was definitely her weak spot, as she so rarely ate anything other than take-out of premade meals. Jason was definitely treating her, though she didn't know if he really knew that. It took Addilyn a moment to realize that Jason had dimmed the lights and lit a candle. She had tons of candles in the house, but had them more for decoration than anything else, though all the candle's scents were handpicked and she was very content with the one Jason had found. Ignoring the romantic atmosphere, as she was hungry and romance came after she was full, Addilyn approached the pasta and the sauce, her eyes lighting up. "Jason it smells absolutely delicious, thank you so much." Addilyn looked up at Jason with a wide smile, a relaxed sort of happiness coming off her in waves.

Jason shuffled his feet and glanced down at his feet before looking back up, "Well... I've... made better pasta before. Someday I'll have to make you my homemade stuff - if.. if you want." Jason loved cooking for other people. He felt like a good meal makes any day better - even the shitty ones - and provides time to sit and talk while eating, or enjoy comforting silence. Dinner had always been an important meal for his family. No matter what, they would gather around the table, eat delicious food, talk about what had happened that day, and be in each other's good company. It was peaceful, and even after his parents died, Jason continued to treat dinner like the important moment of was. To be able to share it with Addilyn meant a lot. He handed Addilyn a plate and gestured towards the bowl where the noodle were and the stove, "You go first. What would you like to drink? I don't do alcohol, but I have some sparkling cider instead, and there is also milk and water."

A gentle smile stuck on Addilyn's face, and she gently took Jason's hand in her own and squeezed it gently. She tilted her head to the side and spoke with a smile. "I would love that Jason, as I'm sure your pasta is absolutely amazing." She gently squeezed his hand a second time before letting go and taking the plate he handed over. Practically skipping over to the food, she scooped up a sizable amount of noodles before replying. "I'm not a drinker either, I prefer apple juice over anything with alcohol in it," she said with a shrug. Addilyn had decided after her first ever drink, that she didn't want to deal with that again. It wasn't nearly as fun as people made it out to be. After a moment's hesitation, she finally answered Jason's original question about what she wanted to drink, all while piling the sauce on her plate with rumbling stomach. "Water would be great, thanks babe, for eveything I mean." Addilyn turned and gave Jason a blinding smile, before turning back around to finish put one last scoup of sauce on her pasta.

Jason poured two glasses of water for the both of them, setting them on the table with a soft clink. After getting his own plate full of noodles and sauce, Jason sat down across from Addilyn with a grin, although there was a faint worry in his face, "I hope you like it." Jason waited until Addilyn tried the pasta first before starting to eat, watching her carefully to see if there was a negative reaction.

After filling her plate with as much food as she dared, Addilyn sat down at her table. It was sort of funny sitting at the dining table that hardly ever got used. Normally, Addilyn took her food over to the couch, got out a tv tray and ate there, sometimes slipping Tam a piece of meat or two. Not that he really needed it though, as the dog had a healthier diet than she did. Once Jason sat down, Addilyn gave him a smile before twirling the spaghetti on her fork and eating it. Her face lit up in delight, and once she swallowed, she spoke. "Jason, this is literally delicious what? How do you manage to make freaking spaghetti this good? I don't understand." Addilyn truly didn't understand, Jason had some talent, she had to give him that.

Jason glanced shyly down at his plate, "Well, I uh... I like to cook - I've been doing it since I was a kid. I guess it's just practice?" Jason ate a bite and gave a comtemplative shrug, "It isn't my best work, but it isn't bad. I'm glad you like it." - do you want to cont. w dinner or ts to them being done?
