Rowan kept her hand near her sword, but her posture softened. Frost didn't sense any other beings nearby, save for the nymphs, which shouldn't pose any threat. "Your forest?" Rowan questioned, not seeming very surprised at the mystical and shimmery figure in front of her. After meeting faeries, catamounts, nymphs, and going through a war, Rowan supposed it was natural that she started to become indifferent to these sort of things, "I did not realize I crossed into any territories," Rowan figured she shouldn't mention her alliances with the faeries, as this person could be their enemy, "But I suppose I can introduce myself: My name is Rowan. I am simply exploring the woods, as I have not been over in this area yet."

Stig regarded the woman carefully, his hand on the small, invisible pouch that stayed on his waist at all times. Inside the pouch were little darts covered in different poisons and potions. Each of them could easily kill this mildly powerful woman in an instant (he don't even know) and her horse as well. "You should not be exploring on your own, regardless of how good a fighter you are. My people don't take kindly to humans on our land. I suppose it is nice to meet you Rowan," he tested out the name, as it was in the common tongue and did not roll off his tongue very easily. "I guess you wouldn't know as you're not a forest folk, but this part of the forest is claimed by pixies. My kind. As for my name, I shall translate it for you because it is not in your tongue. I believe it would be pronounced as Stig, last time I checked at least. So tell me, how did a human get this deep into the forest without being attacked by faeries or manticores?" The pixie looked the woman up and down, suspicion coating his eyes.

Frost stomped his foot impatiently, and Rowan patted his neck and murmured soothingly, before looking back up at the... pixie... Frost had calmed under her touch, and his dark eyes peered curiously at the faint figure in front of him. He trusted Rowan, though, so he would not run or show any fear. "Stig..." Rowan murmured, also testing out the name. It was odd, but pronounceable, and made Rowan wonder what the pixie language was, "I fought a manticore a while back," Rowan admitted carefully, not sure how much she should reveal, "But it didn't pose much of a threat... and you are correct - I did not know there was a border. I apologize for encroaching in your land." Rowan figured it would not be good to mention that she was living in the faerie village, "And faeries?... I haven't been attacked by them, so I must not have aggravated them," it was a form of the truth, "But I am in your land, which is wrong. I shall head back to my village, then, since I am not welcome here." Edited at March 30, 2020 01:13 AM by bumblebee

The pixie took a moment to digest the information, something seemed off about Rowan. She she seemed used to seeing Unnaturals like himself, and it was worrying. As the pixie's lead scout and assassin, he knew he should probably take some interest in what this human was doing here. Even if she was just wandering, it would be best to find out how much she knew, just in case. The problem was that it would seem suspicious if he told her to stay or just randomly asked her. Stig supposed that this meant he'd have to try and socialize with a human. He was already bad at talking to others in general, but a human.. that was a different story. Though, according to her energy, the woman definitely wasn't just a human. So he decided to just confront her about it. "Well if you wish to leave that would be fine, as my people are not fond of unexpected visitors, but I am curious. You are a human, deep in the forest may I add, and the only human village I know of that's close to the forest was destroyed weeks ago. On top of that, you're not all human are you? I can see it. You remind me almost of a... witch. But you don't give off the same aura as one. It is quite odd, I just noticed really, I don't need any answers, I am just curious." Stig shrugged, his form shimmering in and out, he had no intent on showing Rowan what he truly looked like. She would have to be satisfied with his semi-visible form for the moment.

Rowan shifted from atop of her horse, debating on what to tell the pixie in front of her. Her gut said not to trust a stranger with information - especially one from a group that could kill a good woman like Kori. Yet... if she could get him to trust her, then Rowan might be able to find out about the pixies. Her own underhandedness made Rowan feel kind of sick as she nodded, "Yeah... I had lived in that village before, and haven't really known where to live since then. I've been camping out in the forest for now... and you are correct - I'm an immortal, although I haven't lived all that long." The shimmering and see-through form of Stig gave Rowan a headache as she tried to stare at it, so after failing to see through the disguise, Rowan gave up and didn't try to focus on him. It stopped an off, magical pressure that had been building behind her temples, and cleared Rowan's head. "Where exactly was the pixie border? I don't want to intrude again, as I figure many other pixies wouldn't have waited to talk with me like you did," Rowan said wryly, "And even if they don't, it's probably not worth the risk, and I shouldn't be crossing into your territory uninvited."

Stig looked at Rowan with new respect, immortals, that weren't witches, were few and far between. He hadn't seen one in his forest in forever, and he was very old. "Ah, I see, so you're a newer immortal? Interesting, I haven't heard of one being born in ages. Your kind is very rare, at least on this side of the world." He shrugged, as scouts for other pixie groups had told him of a rising number of immortals. His home used to have the longest list of immortals in history, but as more and more were born, they couldn't keep up. Stig supposed that writing this immortal's name down on the list would be helpful. "As you are not a forest folk, you cannot feel our border like faeries," he spat out the word, as if it was the most foul word he could think of, "or nymphs can. Now that I know you are residing in the forest beyond, I'll command the trees to warn you whenever you are near. You will know when you ar nearing our borders because of them, otherwise, there is no real way to see it." The border had to remain as inconspicuous as possible, so the faeries wouldn't be tempted to put their silly little noses where they didn't belong. Stig tried to ignore how much that thought hurt him, he was a pixie, born and raise, he should feel absolutely no sympathy for the other side. And he would not risk his ranking for some familial bond. "That is a very smart way to think, but if you truly need me, tell the trees. Or if you want to talk, I haven't seen the outside world for a very long time, I only know the forest. It would be nice if sometimes I could hear about it all. Humans are... fascinating." Stig shrugged, trying to ignore the fact that he was genuinely interested in what the outside world was like. He wasn't allowed to leave the forest under any circumstances, and sometimes he really just wanted to be free.

"I wasn't aware I was an immortal either until... uh... a few weeks ago..." Rowan laughed, but it was bitter, "And that's an odd phrase - 'this side of the world'... does that mean you are actually able to make contact with places far away efficiently in order to keep accurate records or information?" Rowan wasn't sure if she was expecting an answer or not, and was mostly just marveling out loud, "Ah! Thank you for that," Being able to see the shield would be useful, and keep her from bothering the pixies. Although it was obvious Stig didn't like the faeries... he didn't seem mean, like she'd been expecting. Although... perhaps a rough expectation is to be expected when all of the information on pixies comes from their enemy. Rowan didnt doubt that killing Kori was wrong, but maybe there was a big misunderstanding under all of this? Rowan wouldn't be so lucky. Stig's offer was surprising, and Rowan figured it showed in her face, "Really? That is really neat... and..." Rowan looked at the sun, and figured she had some time before she should head back, "I'm not busy right now, but I get if you are.... and I would like to talk. I'm not sure if you are being serious or not.... but if you really are interested I can tell you about the human world... although I might not be the most accurate source." Rowan grinned. She hadn't really kept up with the news in a long time, and didn't have the most accurate knowledge. Although maybe Stig just wanted to know about how things worked, as it seemed like he wasn't caught up to date either.

The pixies had a very.. different way of going things. Everything was strict and exact. Everyone was expected to act a certain way or else they would drop down in the ranks. Because Stig was tenth, in the first group, and there were 5 groups, he was able to access very private information. This information being all the things other groups of pixies sent over and more. Despite that, Stig was still under orders from his leader, and if he disobeyed he would be thrown to the bottom of the first circle. Basically, most pixies would rather die than be at the bottom. It was because of his ranking, that Stig knew so much, like the immortals in the world and how they were steadily rising. "We have our ways of contacting other pixies across vast distances. though not all of us are able to obtain that information. We are very... secretive with our important information." Stig shrugged as the human continued on. "I would like to talk as well but," he glanced up at the sky, knowing that if he didn't hurry, he would miss his sister's ranking ceremony. "I must go, there is much happening with my people and I couldn't miss it." He paused, then continued on urgently. "Please return whenever you wish, just be careful of other faeries, tell the trees to send me a message and they will. I know this is odd, but I haven't had the chance to speak to anyone other than my kind for so long. I just want to know what the outside world is like." He seemed mildly embarrassed, as he knew no self respecting pixie should be saying these things.

Rowan smiles brightly at Stig, getting the sense that he wasn't supposed to talk about this stuff, or at least he shouldn't want to, "I'm looking forward to it! I like talking to you, Stig. You seem pretty cool." Frost huffed, and she patted his neck, "We will be on our way then - good luck with whatever is going on!" Once Stig responded, Rowan waved, said goodbye, and turned her horse around. She murmured something to him quietly, and he took off in a slow canter. She headed in a different direction than towards the faerie camp, and would turn towards there once she was sure Stig couldn't see them.

Stig disappeared quickly, his sister was turning 54, and she would be finally entering the children's circles. She looked 6 to most, but she was insanely smart and he knew she'd at least be in the 2nd circle, after all, their reputation as one of the highest standing pixies meant that she would automatically rise to the top. Though she could always fall to the bottom if she wasn't careful, and Stig would be pissed if that happened. Ts? I dunno what to but uh))
