Addilyn's cheeks turned bright red and her eyes widened as Jason stared directly into her eyes. She was the first to look away, and did so gladly. It was embarrassing to be caught red handed, staring at Jason. Though, it was his fault for driving through the rain, and possibly getting sick even though he swore that he wouldn't. So it was obviously his fault that she was staring, it was his fault that he was so hot. By the time he'd made it into the kitchen, Addilyn was pouring the water into her mug, being careful not to spill it and burn herself. The packet of tea immediately released its lavender scent into the kitchen, and she couldn't help but smile at the smell. She loved lavender, the tea, the flowers, and the overall smell. Addilyn focused on that when she turned around to face Jason, Tam walking over to greet the man again. "Yup, you can, and trust me you are not being a pain. Besides, you're making me food, so everything is forgiven." Addilyn winked, her eyes twinkling as the tea behind her steamed.

Jason laughed unapologetically, "Where's the laundry room?" He questioned after a moment, "Then, I am expecting my hug." Jason said the words seriously, with a solemn expression that was countered by the mischievous gleam in his eye. Jason crouched down, careful not to disturb the towel, and gave Tam the attention he had wanted to when he first arrived. Jason quietly praised the dog, and gave the dog little scratches on his head and back.

A rosy blush tinted Addilyn's cheeks for the second time that day. Jason seemed to have that affect on her whether he realized it or not. "Laundry room is down that hallway," she pointed to the hallway that led to her room, the garage, and the laundry room. It was connected to the kitchen/dining room, an interesting layout. She ran a hand through her black hair, a soft smile slipping onto her pink face. "And of course you're getting a hug, you big idiot." Addilyn smirked, before turning back to her hot tea. It was finally cooling down and the water was now a dark, amber like color. Now all she needed was a dash of milk, two spoonfuls of honey, and she would be ready to pass out.

Jason put his clothes and the extra towel in the dryer, then headed back into the kitchen. He came up behind Addilyn - making sure to make enough noise to know that he was there (he didn't want to startle her) - and wrapped his arms around her waist, careful not to jostle the mug in her hands, "Hey babe," he said casually, although he knew his heart pounding in his chest was giving him away, "Whatcha feel like eating for dinner?"

By the time Addilyn heard Jason's footsteps returning, the tea in her hands was practically perfect. With the tiniest dash of milk, and the honey as well, it was wonderful. Now she was just quietly waiting for it to cool down, staring at the tv, which was on. It wasn't on the news or anything awful like that, instead, it was on the animal channel. Oftentimes, Addilyn would find herself immersed in the channel, and she got attached to the animals they'd show. So as she waited for her tea to cool down, that was what she was staring at. As the tv was visible from the kitchen, and she couldn't let that go to waste. Although Addilyn had heard Jason coming up behind her, she had hardly expected the hug from behind. A soft gasp of surprise was drawn from her lips, but soon enough she was sinking into Jason's warm embrace, a gentle smile drawn onto her face. In his arms, she felt safe and comfortable, she could probably just stay there forever. The rhythmic pounding of her heart turned slightly erratic, due to the close proximity of Jason, but soon she was calm again. Returning the tea to the counter in front of her and placing her arms over his, she finally spoke. "Well, I was thinking pasta. It's my weakness to be completely honest." Addilyn tilted her head to look up at Jason, the soft smile on her face never slipping. "Granted, you really don't have a choice considering that I don't have much else in the kitchen anyways. I'm a terrible cook." She truly wasn't kidding, Addilyn hardly ever cooked because she didn't want to eat burnt, disgusting food.

Jason bent down to give Addilyn a chaste kiss, a smile pulling at his face, "Pasta sounds good to me," He agreed, although he was reluctant to let go of Addilyn, "I started the dryer, so hopefully I'll have pants soon." Jason opened up cabinets and searched through the pantry as he grabbed the ingredients he wanted, and the dishes he needed for pasta. Italian food was one of Jason's favorite meals, and while he could make an amazing homemade pasta, Jason had also perfected the art of bullshit-pasta, made with easy ingredients. It wasn't nearly as good, but Jason thought it tasted fine, and hoped Addilyn wouldn't mind.

For a moment, Addilyn was covered in happiness as Jason placed a chaste kiss on her lips. Her cheeks colored a soft pink but she didn't say anything about it. When Jason let her go, she almost released a soft sigh, she already missed his arms around her. Realizing that she was being stupid and rather foolish, she quickly turned back to her tea, which had cooled down a bit, and gently picked it up in her hands. Tam was sitting next to her, still begging for a treat, which he often did when Addilyn was in a good mood. Rolling her eyes playfully, she headed over to the pantry, avoiding getting in Jason's way as he spoke. "Okay, sounds good to me, you're rather... distracting as you are right now." Addilyn giggled softly as she took out a treat for Tam, her tea having been placed on the counter again so she wouldn't have her hands full. To be entirely honest, she had not been kidding. Jason wandering around shirtless was definitely making her the opposite of focused. Her thoughts returned to Tam, as the dog lingered outside the pantry, knowing he wasn't allowed in. With a smile, Addilyn brought out the treat, and the dog immediately began to wag his tail violently. "Sit," Addilyn commanded, and Tam did. "Spin," and with only a bit of hesitance, Tam did that as well. Addilyn immediately beamed, Tam wasn't too good with basic tricks. He knew the words, 'attack,' 'sit,' 'speak,' and such, but normally tricks were definitely not something they taught at the academy he'd gone to. Spin had been particularly hard to learn and Addilyn was very, very proud that Tam has done it first try. "Good boy!" Addilyn squealed and have him the the treat, petting his large head with a wide grin. Tam was often her go to guy when she needed happiness. And for once, Addilyn was very, very thankful to her agency for finally doing something right.

Jason couldn't stop - more like wouldn't stop - the fond smile that flickered across his face. He loved seeing Addilyn smiling and laughing, and giving her dog attention. It felt so domestic, and Jason's heart skipped a few beats at that particular thought. Blinking his eyes rapidly, Jason focused back on making pasta sauce, and gently shooed Addilyn out of the kitchen once she was finished, "You watch some TV. I'll take care of everything else."

Addilyn giggled softly at Jason's shooing, a gentle smile on her face. "I'd offer my help but I'd probably end up setting the kitchen on fire. Thank you babe." Standing on her tip toes, Addilyn gave Jason a peck on the cheek. Right before grabbing her warm tea and shooting away to the couch, Tam day in the kitchen, indecisive about where he should go. New people were always great... but Addilyn was his mom. So after a bit of hesitation, the dog gave Jason a random, sudden lick on his hand before taking off to follow Addilyn onto the couch. Where she was promptly attacked by an attack of licks again. After she managed to calm Tam down, she returned to her open laptop, which had since turned off after so long of not being used, and set back to writing. She didn't seem stressed, just enveloped in the new story she was writing.

Jason moved through the kitchen as he prepared dinner, and after a while of cooking, heard the click of the dryer turning off. He left the pot of sauce to simmer, then went to finally put his pants back on. It didn't take long to change, and soon Jason was once again stirring the pot of sauce, this time with his jeans and shirt on, forgoing the jacket for now. - ts to pasta being done?
