Rowan tightened her grip on Alvaro's hand after they landed, and tugged him inside the home, "Nakia, Hyll, Neo... I'm back with Alvaro." She hoped they were okay. Rowan still felt very guilty about leaving her kids alone when there was trouble brewing.

Alvaro was surprised by the whole holding hands thing, though he believed that Rowan probably thought nothing of it, the gesture still made butterflies flutter around in his stomach. The first child he saw was little Nakia, sitting in her mountain lion form a few feet away from the door, looking at Alvaro in a sad, mournful way, and soon she was back in her human form, clinging onto Alvaro desperately. Alvaro slowly let go of Rowan's hand and wrapped his arms around Nakia in a tight embrace, Neo watched from the side. He had not been affected as his siblings had by the death.

Hyll soon also fell into that embrace, clingly tightly to her new sister. She wasn't sure how to respond to all that was going on, as although she was the oldest of the children, Hyll was still just that - a child. Rowan placed what she hoped was a comforting hand on Neo's shoulder. She hadn't felt it like those attached to nature did, and felt this was a moment they should share.

Alvaro held the children close, mourning with them. He cried softly with them, but he had hope for the future. It would be hard, adjusting to life as a powerful leader, but with Rowan's help he knew he could do it. Plus, the children would be a great help and motivater to keep his people safe. Nakia hugged Hyll as tight as she could, her tears dripping down her face sadly. Neo hugged Rowan tightly for a moment before pulling away. He was sad, and scared, but he would be fine. He was more worried about his siblings and their obvious struggles.

Um not really. Alvaro will just be trying his best to fill in his role (but struggling obviously) and the faeries will just be on guard. So yea, Rowan can meet him, but she's got to be out in the forest.

yeeEEEEEEEEE))) Rowan had, for the most part, kept the children inside. Now that the faeries had seemed to calm down, and not be violent, she allowed them to leave. So, she left Hyll in charge of Neo and Nakia, and took this time to check on the border. Now that Rowan knew of there being a possible new battle to face, she wanted to be sure that their defenses were strong. Rowan had gotten Frost ready, and told Hyll to tell Alvaro she went to check on the border should he ask. - Rowan had worked on the border enough to know its strength, as her own magic was now deeply embedded in it. So, she traveled out to where the protective shield was... and then a little bit beyond.

Alvaro had been adapting, though it was definitely harder than he had originally thought it would be. He'd always known Kori's job was difficult, but this was much harder, especially since everyone seemed to be depressed about the previous leader's death. Granted, it probably didn't help that Alvaro was also mourning, and tried his best to be happy for the people like he normally was. Yet he stayed cautious. The guards were always on patrol, watching over the town carefully. A messenger had been sent out to warn other faerie colonies of their new plight. Alvaro could only hope the man had made it. The children were constantly watched, and once word got out that the three oddities of the town were basically Alvaro's children, the town was set on protecting them. He found it odd, but comforting, his people were doing their best to help Neo, Nakia and Hyll. Trying to understand each of them and staying away when their sadness turned to anger, just to keep the children safe. For that, Alvaro was thankful. Stig was wandering. Ironic as that was what his name meant, he supposed his rubbish mother had been making a private joke when she agreed to name him that. The pixie rubbed his head with his darkly hued skin that matched the trees perfectly, as his skin shifted with the surroundings as all pixies did. He supposed he should be celebrating with the rest of his people for the death of the eldest faerie, but he truly wasn't. The forest was sad, so he was as well. Stig wasn't a pure-blood faerie or pixie, he sat on the precarious line between that set him up for all sorts of disasters.

i love the idea of the whole town kinda adopting the kiddos)) - Frost had been walking with his head low when something seemed to string wrongly with him. His head bolted up, and he halted in place. Rowan, knowing the horse had been sensed than her, looked cautiously in the direction the Frost's focus was in. He didn't seemed concerned enough for it to be anything that was obviously dangerous, but it was something that Rowan needed to be aware of. After giving the horse a pat, and putting a hand on the sword at her hip, Rowan called out, "Hello... I know someone is here. Please reveal yourself." She didn't want to be rude if this person was an ally, or someone who was not a threat, but Rowan also didn't want to risk anything.

The pixie's head snapped up as he heard approaching footsteps, quickly joined by a voice as well. The pixie placed his hand on a nearby tree, it shrank away from him as he forced his consciousness onto it and listened to the trees as they spoke of a woman with power. Stig pulled away from the tree, the relief of not being pressured by the pixie resonating through the forest. He sighed as he approached the area where he spotted the woman. His green eyes, the same shade as Alvaro's, were the only thing visible on his body as he approached. Pixies never just showed their true forms, trust had to be earned, and often times it was only between other pixies. So he didn't reveal himself, though his form was shimmering slightly as he eyed the woman. "I should be asking you that. You're in our forest after all, and we don't often like strangers." His eyes narrowed on the human who was blessed with power. It was unfair that human kind was so powerful and they didn't even realize.
