Rowan nodded, "Yes... It seems that way to me as well. He needs someone, though, to be there for him. Thank you for helping me, Laura." Even if there was danger involved, Rowan wasn't one to let a friend hurt alone.

Laura nodded, her green eyes shimmering with tears. "Okay then, but be careful please, when in mourning, faeries can get violent. I'll take you to him." Laura's wings began to flit as she hovered above Rowan and picked up the woman by the armpits. It was an easy flight. Laura set Rowan down and immediately left to her people. She did not want to be there for whatever woud happen. Alvaro was crying on the floor, his wings limp and his mark flooding the room with green light. He didn't even notice Rowan enter.

Now that she was here, Rowan didn't know what to do. What if Alvaro did attack her? Was she being reckless? Rowan pushed all doubt from her mind. She had to do this. "Alvaro? It is Rowan. I am here for you, if you want be to be," She kept her voice as soft and calm as possible. Rowan inched closer, extending a hand out to him, giving Alvaro time to tell her to leave.

Alvaro's crying suddenly cut off when Rowan entered, realizing exactly who was there almost immediately. His back was facing Rowan, and for awhile, he said nothing. When he finally did speak, his voice was uneven and filled with mourning. "I can't believe she's dead. I can't believe it. How could she leave me? I don't want to be alone again." Alvaro choked up and collapsed into sobs again. Unlike his people, Alvaro wouldn't be violent in his sadness, though normally he would be, as it was in faerie nature. Now that Kori was dead, the essence of a true leader was in him, and his grief would only leave him hopeless rather than angry. Though he definitely could still flip some tables at the moment.

Once Alvaro acknowledged her presence, Rowan hurried over to him. She dropped down on her knees and wrapped her arms around Alvaro's body, careful to avoid his wings, "I'm sorry for your loss, Alvaro. She...." Rowan wasn't exactly sure what had happened, so she changed her words, "You aren't alone, okay? It may not be much... but I'm here. As long as you want me to be."

Alvaro made his wings disappear as he hugged Rowan back, allowing her not to worry about touching his wings."Kori died Rowan, and she was the only one who even was alive while I was a kid. She was our leader, how can I lead my people when there are pixies coming back for us again? Rowan I can't lose you too, please don't leave me." Alvaro cried again, because now he worried for Rowan's safety. She was immortal but they didn't know if she could be killed. What if the pixies got her too? Or Nakia? Or Neo? Or Hyll? Or any of his people for that matter. Alvaro sobbed harder, burying his face in Rowan's shoulder.

Rowan's vision went blurry as tears filled her vision. Kori... the sweet faerie woman who'd helped Rowan realize who she was... "I didn't know Kori very well... but she was a wonderful faerie." She didn't know what the pixie thing was about. As far as Rowan knew, they two were the same. Based on the way Alvaro spoke though, Rowan figured they were some longtime enemy, "You will lead them bravely and well, because you are very capable. You can do this: I believe in you, Alvaro. And I won't leave.... I promise." Rowan didn't know how she could be of help, but would give it her all - For Alvaro

Alvaro hugged Rowan a little tighter for a moment, wanting to feel safe if only for a moment. Wanting to feel hope and light and everything Rowan radiated. "Thank you, thank you so much Rowan. You've helped me so much. So much more than you'll ever know." His sobs had slowed, and he had begun to calm down, causing the faeries below to slow their own mourning.

Rowan smoothed her hand along Alvaro's back, free to do so now that his wings were gone, "Of course. I'll be here for a long time.... I promise. And I'll continue helping you out where ever you need me to be."

Yea, and yet Rowan still 'yea Alvaro is my FrIeNd.' I don't believe her lmao))
Alvaro hugged Rowan tight for a moment, his eyes closing as his breaths deepened and the old faerie calmed. Slowly, he blinked his eyes open, forcing himself to face reality. Carefully pulling away from Rowna, he stared at the floor before speaking. "I suppose I owe you an explanation for what is happening," Alvaro sniffled, his voice unsteady and sad.
