After a while of sitting in the cafe, Sam stood up, packing his things away and throwing his bag onto his back, heading out of the door. He cleared his throat, before walking back to his home, wondering if he should text the mysterious woman. The whole situation made him feel a little uncomfortable. Why was she interested in him? She seemed very keen on the idea of him becoming a policeman. What was that about?
Once he got home, he sat down on the sofa and sighed softly. He thought for a while, before transferring the number from the paper into his phone. What does he say? He didn't know. "Hey it's Sam from the cafe," he texted, putting his phone down and rubbing his forehead. Groaning, he pushed himself up and heading to the kitchen.

Valerii's phone ringed with a text as she was finishing up with her shower. rapping a towel around her, water dripping to the floor from her hair still being wet. " hey Sam" she texted back. She then dried her hair, straightened it, got cooler clothes on that were not black and grabbed some food before heading over to the first-floor couch to watch the news. Yes, the gangs were at it again. But to her eyes it was normal. It was her life. But how would the police react? she shrugged her shoulder. Time would only tell. Would she fall in love with this man? Or would something worse happen?

Sam was doing his thing in the kitchen when he heard his phone ping. He just left it, washing up some of the plates that were in the sink. After finishing up, he realised he probably needed to do a little bit more revision before relaxing. So, he opened up his laptop and started working on more studying. Whilst he was doing that, he could help but feel a little concerned about whether or not he should be talking to this girl. He doesn't know how good this is. Sam frowned a little at himself. He should just go with the flow, instead of being so negative and skeptical about the situation. It was no good.

Even thought it was a Sunday, Valerii didnt have much to do after going downtown to get what her father needed. She kept searching the different channels on the tv and found something educational. On doctors to be exact. Only making Sam the center of attention in her thoughts. She tried to take him out of her mind, but it failed. There was something about him that she still didnt understand. What was it? Was there someone in his circle that she had to watch out for? I shouldnt worry about this. It was a little meet-up after all. Nothing more than that. Right? SHe let her questions fly around her mind before grabbing her phone , a little cash, her tazer, some water and her house keys before letting her dad know she would be out for a long walk to clear her mind. She also texted Sam where she would be in case he wanted to join in. maybe you have questions for me that you need answered she said in her second text to him before putting her phone in her pants pocket and headed for the park across from the cafe.

As he was just about to give up with the studying, he heard a text ping through on his phone. He closed the lid on his laptop and opened up the chat conversation. From Valerii, asking to meet up. He raised his eyebrows. She obviously was very keen to see him again. For what reason he did not know. It was something he was yet to find out. As he was about type a response, another text was sent. What? What does that mean? Somethjng is up. Sam replied that he would there, grabbing his keys and shoving his shoes on. He began to walk toward the park that she said she would be in, squinting his eyes as he scanned the area for her face.

Valerii was just finished with 1 of three loops around the park when she thought she saw someone looking at their phone. There he is she thought as she leaned up against a tree. Waiting for him to approch her this time. " Prolly silly I keep asking you to go somewhere, Sam. Its just the type of person I am I suppose. Not that I wouldnt let you find a place one day to hang out. " She bit her lip again as she looked him over again rather quickly, but not thinking of it at the moment. what is wrong with me... "just thought that maybe you had questions. You know, to get to know me a little better. From the look on your face the toher day, it seemed to me you were suspcious of me? Why would that be?" Sam spotted her leaning against a tree so he wandered over to her, attempting to remain calm and not urgent about the situation. He leaned against another tree that was close by, watching as she spoke. This girl was extremely strange and mysterious. He wasn't sure if he liked it or not. Sam huffed, scratching his head and wondering what to say next. "Well, you're not like any girl I've met before. You seem to be quite reserved and you've been saying things that seem out of the ordinary," he said quietly, narrowing his eyes as he looked back to her. The tattoo was another strange aspect of her. He had never seen a girl with a neck tattoo before. Not that it was strange, but her personality did not seem to match those who have neck tattoos.

" No frickin way. You found out im not normal, did you?" Valerii said rather sarcastically to try and be a normal person and make a joke out of it, but it failed. She plainly gave up trying. Valerii's hand went to her neck, feeling the surface of the dragon tattoo. " Look... we arent on the same ground at the moment and I just want us to be able to not worry about anything." Her dark hazel eyes scanned his, she found soemthing in them that told her she was scared. And truth be told, she was. Truth about who she really was. But then she changed the subject " How did studies go?" Edited at August 15, 2023 04:00 PM by Queen Elsa

Sam frowned, his deep dark eyes watching hers. He didn't know what to make out of her, she was a little confusing and a closed book at the moment. "Alright," he admitted defeat, this whole situation was getting him aggravated for no reason. He scratched his head, continuing to lean against the tree near her. His shoes scuffled the surface of the dirt, watching in awkwardness. "My studies were fine, my exam is tomorrow," he said, his voice fairly monotone and flat. Sam didn't like this one bit, so he crossed his arms over his chest and continued to look over at her, his eyes cutting into her soul.

" Im being difficult arent I? I should be, since thats how I was raised" She said breaking the silence after nodding to his words. She could feel his eyes cut into her gangster soul. what is his plan here? she thought, running her hand along her neck again, her eyes searching his. His stance was tough but able to be taken down. But how? " Im not from around here by the way.... not gonna say where but its not like here in downtown." She moved away from the tree and tilted her head so he knew she was gonna walk another loop " come, walk with me. Maybe we can get some uncertain things about me out of the way to make things easier."
