+ Urimenor - 1st Person +
We all waited until everyone was full, Dakoda and a couple of the other males got extra. After all Amy and I were the only girls in the top 10. I tried to come up with ideas because the headmaster's tournament is brutal, and a lot die during it. Not to mention it would draw attention to the terrorists.
"I have an idea," I said to Amy "But I will wait to say it in the headmaster's office as it would need a lot of planning," I explained and she nodded.
Once they finished we headed to the headmaster's office and we all bowed our heads respectfully as we walked past him and entered our little meeting room.
"I'm going to get straight to the point, I have no idea who we would even select," Dakoda said straight away and I was hesitant but opened my mouth.
"I have an idea," I suggested and everyone turned to me. "What if we have a tournament of our own?" I suggested but before anyone could question me I continued. "Students would have to sign up to enter, that way no one is forced like everyone would be forced into the Headmaster's tournament. We would separate everyone into classes, like dragon vs dragon and wolf vs wolf. That way there wouldn't be any unfair match-ups right from the get-go." I explained "Everything would be determined by a bracket. Once each section reaches the top 4, we start doing mixed classes." I said
"So species vs species," Dakoda said
"Correct, but instead of the headmaster's rules we would have our own. We could try and do something similar to wrestling where they have to pin their opponent for more than 5 seconds, knock them unconscious, or the opponent taps out." I explained and he nodded.
"You say this as if you have been planning it," he said with an eyebrow raised
"I'm mainly just a critical thinker, I only started planning it when you got your extra servings," I explained and he nodded "One thing we would have to do though is if the last two competitors are different and one is a flyer and the other isn't, should we consider no flying a rule. So if they are in the air for more than 3 seconds?" I suggested
"Stop being so smart," Garrett complained. He was the holder of the 7th spot, and he was a Chimera, but he wasn't very bright either, hence why he never got a higher spot.
All of a sudden Dakoda let out a sigh, catching everyone's attention
"That is probably the only idea we are going to get, now we just have to come up with everything, the waivers, the sun-ups, and the idea proposal in under a week. Because if we don't the headmaster will be announcing him dead in seven days, hence starting the tournament." he finished
"Then classes would be canceled and the entire school would be forced to train and fight," Amy said and Dakoda nodded,
"Exactly," He said with a sigh. "Why don't we all separate into groups for who is going to work on what part? Urimenor, since you already came up with the proposal would you want to come up with a waiver?" he asked and I nodded. "Amy, would you like to write down the proposal? you have the best memory and the nicest handwriting out of all of us," he said admittingly
"Of course," she said with a small laugh, almost trying to flirt with him but he just ignored it.
"Now I want the rest of us to start figuring out how we are going to set up the bracket and what species will face which species first after the initial first fights." He explained, "We should probably start now as we are all on a time crunch." He said and everyone agreed. "Uri, Amy," He said and we both turned to him, I was thrown off because he said my nickname.
"What do you need?" Amy asked wanting special attention, I almost glared at the girl because this wasn't a time to try and flirt. Thankfully I was behind her so she didn't see it, but Dakoda saw my annoyed reaction, he cleared his throat in an attempt to hold back a laugh.
"You two can retreat to your dorms or somewhere private so you can focus, as it might get hectic and chaotic in here." He explained
"That works for me," I said with a pause "If you happen to need more help it shouldn't take me long to write the waiver. So feel free to stop by my dorm and retrieve me so I can come help. Only the top 5 are allowed to leave their dorms past curfew. So I will only be allowed out if one of you come and get me." I explained
"Right, I will remember that, thank you," he said, grateful. This time it was my turn to get a nasty glare except Amy did not attempt to hide it. Causing a couple of the boys watching to snort and even Dakoda had to turn around to keep himself cool. But I just returned her nasty glare with a dumb and dramatic look on my face.
"Awe, are you mad that I am having a conversation with the boy you daydream about?" I said in a baby voice "Newsflash, one of the top 10 died, meaning all of us are at risk. So how about you stop trying to flirt and get your head out of the clouds? Because for all you know, you're next, and we need to focus on our jobs." I growled at her pinning her against the wall. "So either get your shit together and take this seriously, or I will take care of you myself. We all know what happens when someone in the top 10 fights another member of the top 10. The one who loses gets removed from the top 10 altogether and there is an open spot. So don't tempt me any further otherwise we are gonna need two spots filled." I said getting louder. She was clearly about to cry, but she needed that slap of reality.
"Uri isn't wrong," Dakoda said with a serious face then continued "The thing is Uri wouldn't even have to fight you to get removed because I've gotten several complaints that you are abusing your power," He said, and his face dropped, "Meaning that I can just confront the headmaster and report you because there are that many complaints. I just decided to bring it up now because you ade Uri snap, and she rarely snaps at any of us unless she has a darn good reason." He explained then clearly thought for a moment "You know what. Uri, do you mind writing the proposal as well?" He asked and I immediately knew what was happening. This tournament was the opportunity to get rid of members who shouldn't be in the top 10.
"Yeah, I can do that," I said looking down with my eyes closed before looking back up at him.
"Perfect, thank you," he said. Amy was confused when he walked out of the room and back into the headmaster's office. Isaac and I seemed to be the only ones who understood what was happening.
"I will head to my dorm to get started," I said and Isaac nodded,
"I will let Dakoda know." He said before I walked out the door and headed to my dorm.
Once I got there I started just making notes of what should be addressed in the waiver. After I finished that I started writing the proposal, this was going to take a bit. Because my handwriting was only nice if I took my time, I could always write a rough draft first though. So that's what I did until I saw that it was midnight.
With a sigh, I started my nightly routine. As I lay on my stomach, I fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow. I was exhausted.
