Carwen almost ran into Magdalene, her blonde hair flying forwards then snapping back to its place once she stopped. Her rose gold eyes narrowed on the other pirate and she frowned, her brows furrowing. "Watch the name calling Mags. I'll get whatever the hell that thing is as long as you at least treat me with some sort of respect." Carwen knew that she was perfectly capable of grabbing the shiny thing, she'd done harder things, though half of them had been with her wings. Regardless, she was just as light and energetic as she'd been back then. She just didn't have the power of flight.

Magdalene felt herself about to snap back, and restrained, "Whatever," she bit back another insult, "Just hurry if you are going to do it so the town doesn't see." She brushed away hair that had fallen from her ponytail, and crossed her arms, the looks she kept throwing at the village the only way to know she was concerned.

Carwen didn't seem the least bit worried about the village, and she wasn't, if she needed to get away she could scurry into a tree and pick them off from up there. Carwen stared at the shiny thing while hopping on one foot to the other. It was going to be easy, though she really wished she had worn her pants instead of this disgusting dress. Without any warning, Carwen leapt upwards, grabbing hold of the lowest branch and pulling herself up. It was an impossible feat for any normal being, but Carwen definitely was not normal. Carwen continued to climb the tree with ease, a rhythmic pattern occuring as she went onwards. When she finally reached the top, she didn't even bat an eyelash at the height, she just carefully grabbed the shiny thing and hopped down branch to branch gracefully, and landed on her feet delicately.

Magdalene's curiosity won against her will to show that she doesn't care, "Fair enough," She said under her breath as the pirate landed. Magdalene had underestimated her, which she would be careful not to do again, "The thing - it looks familiar..." Magdalene looked closer, closing her hazy eye to better focus on it, "Ah. It's one of Gyrsbeards old keys." The pirate had been known for his pixie pirate crew, and had hid the keys to his treasure up high. Magdalene grunted, that hadn't helped him when he was killed on a sea battle with her crew. They had taken his maps, and as Magdalene looked around, realized the land looked familiar, in a way, with the tall tree holding the key...

Carwen stood on tip toe to see what exactly Magdalene was seeing, which made sense since the other pirate was more than two fit taller than the tiny pixie. "That old man with the pixie crew right? He was... interesting. You know somethin about whatever that thing is?" Carwen eyed Mags, as that was how she was referring to the pirate, knowing full well that she knew more than she'd probably tell. Carwen could probably steal the thing if she needed to. Money was money.

Magdalene glared at the nosy pixie, "Perhaps," She said vaguely, "Gyrsbeard was an idiot, and not smart about many things, but he sure knew how to hide treasure." This was already relatively common knowledge. The pirate did not want to find the box that this key held with pipsqueak right there. Magdalene did not want to share, but at the same time... it would be a while until her crew could reach the shore to get her, and it would be unlikely that they'd be able to come back... Magdalene sighed, "I know that you are going to follow no matter what, so just stay out of my way." She looked around to orientate herself and figure out the surroundings, then headed west.

Carwen frowned, this pirate was so unbearably rude, and treated Carwen with little to no respect. She supposed that this was a good thing, as it might have meant that the other pirate didn't believe Carwen was a real danger. Being underestimated was one of Carwen's best tools, as it led to shock when she killed whoever it was who had dared to question her skills. Though, Carwen didn't doubt the other woman's skills either, there was a good chance that this was just the way Mags worked, alone and rather rude that is. Carwen followed the woman though, as she had nothing better to do until she could figure out where her crew had gone.

After adjusting the direction she was going in multiple times, and cursing in frustration about not having her map, Magdalene traveled deeper into the forest than the villagers probably ever have. A perfect place to hide something. By no means did Magdalene expect there to be treasure here. On Gyrsbeard's ship, she and her crew found multiple different maps marking the location of a key, and the location of a map for the treasure. The location that these maps showed were not marked, making it difficult to find the maps for his treasure. After she found the chest to unlock using the key that... Carwen was still currently holding... that contained the maps, she could use those to find the real treasure.

Carwen was definitely not letting go of the key, as the key was what was keeping her here. It was obvious that the other pirate only really cared for the key and since Carwen had it... Then again keeping the key was probably putting herself in danger. The other woman obviously wanted it, and she was a well known pirate, and was definitely not known for her kindness. Carwen would take the risk though, as she wanted some of the treasure for herself an perhaps she could get a hold of at least some of it.
