Ian almost smirked before getting up off the guy. He may be a monster of a person but he wasn't just going to lay on him. Though he did not offer a hand to help the store bagger kid up. "Well this is certainly a turn of events, I may have to kill you yet." Killian looked the guy up and down. He had already been considering killing him but now he'd seen Ian twice and both times he'd been in danger. Running from someone. This guy could tell the authorities about Killian and it would end his career.

Even if the stranger had offered a hand up, Rhys wouldn't have taken it. The guy certainly radiated a threatening aura, but when he said he would kill him, Rhys was shocked, and it showed on his face. He took a staggering step back, and Rhys's voice rose in panic, "Kill me! What the heck, you crazy person!"

Killian shrugged, another death on his hands wouldn't mean too much, he'd done it many times. If only this guy hadn't gotten involved twice, it would've been better for both of them. Now Ian had to get his hands dirty over some guy who he didn't even know.

Rhys continued to back up, bumping up against the window. His hands, which had been searching for anything, gripped the window sill. In a split second, he had turned around and jumped out the window. Rhys knew which steps were weak and which could hold a person on the fire escape, and used that to his advantage. He bolted down the fire escape, and was met with a crowd of terrifying strangers.

Killian sighed as the guy ran, well now he had to kill him. He knew east to much. "Hey I wouldn't recommend going do- you actual idiot." He was about to warn the man of the others but instead now the guy was surrounded by them. "Damn you," he growled under his breath as he raced down the stairs and appeared in front of the idiot grocery bagger guy. His cocky smile appearing on his face again. "Hey, why don't you people go home and we can sort this all out later? It would be much easier on your group and would cause a lot less death." The men looked confused and for a moment it was almost like they could get away when they finally snapped into it and raised their wands. "Fine then, we can do this too." Killian shrugged and brought out his wand. immediately causing an eerie blue light to fill the area. This would be a big fight.

Rhys reached his hand backward, and grabbed something comforting and solid - his wand. He kept it hidden behind his back, and braced himself. The gnarled wood fit comfortably in his hands, and with a tiny wave, a giant wall shot up between the fire escape and the dangerous mob. The wall was made of the weeds growing in the cracks in the cement - Rhys had always made sure that they stayed alive. The stems of the blades were as wide as a man, and as thick as one, too. Rhys quickly went to the side of his apartment, and flicked his wand again, making an already growing ivy trail travel down to him. The world was hazy for a moment, but Rhys could already hear the group blasting away the temporary wall. The momentary shock had worn off. For a second, Rhys debated leaving the man, but his good conscious won. He jerked his hand to catch the guys attention, and grabbed ahold of the ivy. Once he was secure, he had the ivy he was gripping retreat up the building to its previous height. From there, they would have to climb. If the man decided to try the ivy, Rhys would have it shrink back up too. The building was five stories tall, but if they were able to make it to the top, there was a secret portal. (Throughout the world, there are portals that make transportation easier. They can only be used once every 5 minutes, and all have a set destination. Most portals are in a public location, but a few are hidden - created by powerful wizards who were able to leave a lasting gateway. The portals Rhys is able to create are temporary and risky.) He dared to look down, and grimaced at the sight. The plant wall was torn down, and they were ready to shoot curses straight towards Rhys and the stranger.

Killian was taken by surprise by the plant wall, though he was very grateful. If he'd known about this guy's powers he might've tried to recruit him before the whole threatening thing. He'd been trying to figure out how to make one of his dashing escapes as the other guy was scaling the building when the dude gestured for him to come with. He hadn't been expecting such a kind gesture but then again, people never seemed to stop surprising Ian. He began to scale the ivy as well, tucking his wand away in the wand case attached to his belt that allowed him easy access to take it out at a moment's notice. They were making nice time when the wall broke and the other men prepared to throw curses at the two. Ian groaned as he scurried up the vine, getting a good distance ahead of plant guy, as he was now thinking of grocery guy in his head, and clung to the ivy with one hand while taking out his wand with the other. Holding on to the ivy as tight as he could with his singular hand and feet while beginning to put up a barrier spell. Just in time for the first volley of curses. Unfortunately, the barrier only stayed up for the first few. Barriers were not Ian's thing. Instead, he began to scan the ground for electrical sources. He blew up the lights with an electrical surge that created enough electricity for him to manipulate and allowed him to knock out two people in one go. "Hurry!" He yelled at plant guy as he knocked out another light and used the same technique as before to knock out another person. They were wising up though and pretty soon he'd have to use his own reserves to create an electrical field strong enough to defeat the few left.

Rhys pressed his lips together into a thin line, and moved his wand upwards in a short, sharp line. The other guy clearly had little barrier magic skill, which meant he would have to act quickly. His cosmos magic had been quick to react, and a strong forcefield sprung up. It's wasn't large, but it was enough to cover the two. The barrier held strong until they reached the roof, where, despite his protesting body, Rhys jumped over the ledge and began sprinting. As soon as they made it to the roof, Rhys released the barrier. Rhys only stopped when he reached an old, rickety garden house. He pressed a palm against the door, and looked back at the dangerous man. (I am assuming Ian followed?) He could hear their pursuers getting closer, and opened the door. A swirling portal had appeared, already faded. Rhys grabbed the other man's arm, and pulled him in, letting the door shut behind them. They were soon transported away.

Ian was grateful for Flower Boy and his barrier skills, as Killian was skilled in offense magic, defense magic was for his peers, not him. Killian was much to tired to create a sturdy barrier. He knew how, but his magic was exhausted and he was tired. Killian had been through much more than normal today and his magic was dying. As was he, Ian hated being tired, or relying on people. Killian quickly followed Flower Boy once they reached the top. Fatigue making him a little tired compared to how he was before. The portal surprised him vaguely but he was much to tired to do anything. Flower Boy grabbed Ian's arm and Killian gladly let himself be sucked in. Once they fell through the portal on the other side, Rhys took a moment to look around. At times the portal could be finicky, but they arrived at the normal place - a small allyway tucked beside the capital building - a few miles away from Rhys's apartment. After seeing they made it, Rhys let out a deep breath, huffing as he said, "You... Should go... The portal will kick back up in five minutes..." Rhys wanted to hope they didn't see them, or realize what the key to the portal was, but on the off chance... he didn't want to be here if they got through. "Good luck, dude. I don't know what the heck you are involved it... but I sure hope you make it out."
