Rowan looked over at Alvaro, and while her smile shrunk it size, it got softer, and more peaceful. Perhaps the faerie didn't realize what kind of smile he had on his face. (i think this will be cute - if you don't like me making assumptions about what he would be doing, tell me ~~) It was a smile born of a simple happiness and calmness, "Have I said thank you already?" She asked with a huffing laugh, "Even if I have - Thank you. I enjoy this. And it is nice knowing what my family is up to." Although they would probably never see each other again, at least not in this lifetime, it gave Rowan a deep peace, soothing the restlessness she hadn't realized had been buried inside her.

Alvaro was looking at the view when Rowan spoke, startling him out of his calm stupor. He had a small smile on his face that he didn't often wear. Mostly because he never got a moment of peace anymore, yet here he was, that smile on his face because he was calm and generally happy for Rowan. "It is not a problem Rowan, you are my friend and you deserve to know what is happening with your family. Family is one of the most important things on earth, because even when everything else is gone, you still have people who care for you." Alvaro grinned, almost sadly. He supposed that if he listened and believed what the other faeries told him about how his parents were still here, he'd be happier. Yet he just couldn't believe it, so unlike many of the other faeries here, Alvaro was without a family. Though, technically he did have a family, he glanced over to Rowan. Yea, he did have a family.

Rowan noticed the sad shadow in Alvaro, and carefully grabbed his hand, weaving her fingers around his, "You have a family with me," She said softly, "And with Neo, and Nakia, and Hyll. You have all of us..." Her grip on his handed stiffed, and the next words were a whisper, "If you want, that is."

Alvaro almost cried. The old faerie was not used to such kind words. Yes, his people cared for him, hugged him and tried to comfort him, but they were just that, his people. He was charged with their protection, hearing someone other than them say that he was welcomed. He smiled at Rowan sadly yet so, utterly grateful. Alvaro gently squeezed her hand, "I would be honored to be considered a part of your family Rowan." and his words rang true.

Rowan blinked hard, and smiled, "Good. I am... very happy." She was extremely happy. There was another member of their little crew, "It is getting dark... should we head back?" While Rowan felt safe, she still didn't like heights, and add the dark where she wouldn't be able to see... Well, that sounded like an accident waiting to happen.

Alvaro nodded, "it wouldn't be safe to stay out here for much longer, even if the barrier is pretty secure thanks to you. There's still always the possibility that something may slip in or was already in here before we sealed the barrier. Let's get going then." Alvaro gently pulled his hand away from Rowan, his eyes flashing with some, unknown emotion for a moment before he stood and with the help of his wings, untied the rope around Rowan's waist. He then flew behind her and scooped her up again, a small smile on his face.

Rowan instinctively threw her arm around Alvaro's shoulders when they left the relative safety of the branch. Her hand tightened on the material of his shirt, and she had to force herself to relax. After a moment, Rowan quietly asked, "Does that bother your flight?.. My arm being here?"

Alvaro held Rowan tight, he would never drop her. "It's perfectly fine Rowan, as long as you're not directly touching them it doesn't affect anything." He supposed he should've actually introduced Rowan to faerie culture, after all, touching someone else's wings was an extremely personal thing, only people closest to the faerie even dared to ask. Touching someone else's wings was a private thing, only lovers and families did it. Alvaro decided that he should probably tell Rowan when they got home, so she wouldn't accidentally touch another faerie's wings.

"Got it..." The words were quiet as Rowan held on tight and closed her eyes. Maybe flying wasn't as scary as she thought, but it was still unnatural (at least for Rowan) and the idea of the ground so far beneath them made her stomach queasy.

Alvaro touched down in front of Rowan's home. The sun had set by then and his mark glowed an intense green. "I hope you had fun," Alvaro said as he took a step back from Rowan. His wings fluttered playfully, as normal with the ever happy Alvaro.
