As Maya walked off and his parents brought over a younger female he turned to Luna. "Maya keeps looking at us funny. I think she suspects something." His tail thumped slowly when he looked at her. When he saw Maya coming back with Kayleron, and the young male apparently named Echohe quickly straighten up, knowing Luna would let people know when she wanted. "Thank you for meeting with me. If you all would come with me, this is more of a private matter then having everyone know." He stood up and nodded to his parents as two wolves followed them to him. He led them to the alpha den behind the pedestal where meetings were held.

Kayleron seemed rather annoyed to need to walk farther as he followed without a word, Echo close to the old male. Luna followed, keeping to the back as she glanced at Blue Jay. "Hopefully the pack transition works smoothly" she said as she sat down a bit behind Blue Jay, though she did smile at him. She watchedas Maya went to talk to a few others assuming it wasn't her place to be there.

Bluejay could tell some of them seemed annoyed and others confused. He tilted his head back in acknowledgment to Luna. "Well thats why I've chosen four betes instead of the normal one. It will also bring about new ideas." He looked to Kayleron and Alex. Alex was one of their packs elders. "You two will provide wisdom and input on the packs traditions." His voice trailed as he looked to the younger two, Echo and Lexi. He found that her healthy dark brown pelt, odly enough, went well with echos gray fur. "And you two will help so nothing is stale and we make advancements. From pack life, to medicine and hunting." He gave a small smile pleased with himself.

Kayleron narrowed his eyes quite a bit. "Im no beta" he snapped. "I dont have the energy to deal with the young ones other than making sure they stop getting thorns in their pads." He wasnt going to admit he couldnt move around as much as he used to and that was another reason.

Echo looked more shocked than anything. "Y-you want me as a beta?" He looked confused before his young mind started to whirl.

Luna winced slightly when Kayleron snapped, but she understood it and she stood up. "Kayleron, maybe you dont have to nessesarrily be a beta, but be someone anyone can get guidance from" she offered before she looked at Blue Jay, hoping he agreed.

When Kayleron snapped bluejay stood up, a signal for him to watch his tone and tongue. He gave a sigh, remembered how stubborn Luna said he was. "Your not going to be running after pups. Your going to do things as normal, all of you. Only now your coming to me every two weeks to help figure things out and make adjustments where we see they need to be." His voice was stern but also gentle, it was odd how quick he thought he was becoming like his father. He looked at Echo as his eyes widened. "Yes, because I've been told good things about you. And I know Lexington from here. You both are level headed, smart, and quick problem solvers. By giving you a higher rank you two can help things move along smoothly." He looked to Luna, to see if he was doing this even a little right. Alex chirped up, trying to encourage her new pack members. "Cmon, it won't be hard, and if anyone needs help they know who to come to." She gave a small wag. Even though she was advanced in age she had this youthful and joyfulness about her. Bluejay started to wag his tail, happy at least someone understood.

Kayleron rolled his eyes, ready to retort before Echo looked at him. "Come on Kayleron, it wont be that bad" he said as the old male huffed. "Fine, but only if you give me two trainees to fetch herbs for me when I need it" the old male said before Luna nodded. "Of course. We will even have others help out, not just trainees." She could have Nyra help out a bit, hoping to humble the rude female out a bit.

Bluejay nodded, seeing his request as reasonable. "You will have everything you need and more." He assured, seeing how he relaxed just a tad more and he sat down again. "Well, that's everything, I'll see you tonight when I announce you all. In the meantime please, get to know eachother and your new packmates. You all will be working closely." Alex and Lexington understood that as the hint to leave and did so, their leaving let Kayleron and Echo know it was time to leave so they did. Just leaving him and Luna. "I should have taken your word, he is colorful. He joked as he nuzzled her face. Knowing if anyone asked why she was their longer he could simply lie if need be.

Luna watched the others leave before she looked at Blue Jay. "Well, maybe you wont underestimate me now" she teased as she nuzzled him back. The white female looked out of the den before she sighed. "I cant help but worry fights will be picked, especially when Storm Pack members never had their own dens" she said as she looked back at Blue Jay.

He gave a sigh, understanding that and how badly it needed to change. "Don't worry about it. Everyone will understand how aweful it was and we will get to work fixing it. We have food stock and medicine to last a month here, we can focus on specific things for a while." He tried to assure her and put his head on hers and relaxed a little. "If you want to go mingle go ahead, I know you and Cin need to work that out." He didn't know if she wanted to talk about it or not so that's all he said, not wanting to force anything on her.

Luna looked at Blue Jay before she sighed. "He took off after I mentioned everything. I think he needs time before he's ready to talk again" she replied before she leaned into Blue jay. She wasnt going to mention that it hurt having Cin run off, but she didnt blame him. She would have done the same. "Do you think we should take all the trainees and pair them with others to learn how the new pack will live" she asked. It wasnt the best idea out there, but it was something, re-teaching them while they are young and slowly working with the adults. "And what will our merged pack be called?" She knew most Storm Pack would refuse the Mountain Claw name, and firgured it would be the same the other way.
