"Food!" Addilyn agreed, she often reverted back to cave-man like speech when hungry. And she was very hungry. Addilyn scoured through the menu with a passion, her serious but not face appearing. If there was one thing she was serious about, it was food.

Jason looked over the menu, although he didn't need to. He always got the same thing. Coming to the diner was one of the few times Jason allowed himself to cheat on his strictly nutritional meal plan.

Addilyn ended up ordering strawberry french toast. Her favorite ever since she was a child, in fact, her mother had made it often for her before the accident. Addilyn banished the though from her mind, she wasn't trying to look sad in front of Jason. Plus, she was getting french toast, how could she not be happy?

When the waiter came over, Jason got his normal meal: Blueberry pancakes WITH SYRUP and some fruit on the side. Jason hardly ever had pancakes, but if he did, they were nutritional, and didn't have any other toppings like syrup or butter.

Addilyn smirked at Jason's order, knowing how good he was at eating healthy, this must be a special thing for him. The syrup thing. "Wow, I am surprised you're getting something so... unhealthy. You're so committed to that diet of yours, I'm shocked that you even know what a pancake is." Addilyn giggled, obviously joking with Jason.

Jason took it in stride, "Well, it's a special occasion since I'm with you, so I think it'll be fine," he winked, a smile in his eyes despite his otherwise relaxed features, "And I'll just workout longer tomorrow, so it's all good."

Addilyn turned tomato red within seconds, she wasn't anything special. Jason was just joking. That was it. "Workout longer because of some pancakes?? Jason I think you're insane, I could never be so commited to being... healthy. I'm in shape, obviously, but not anywhere you.. That's crazy Jason. And you should get pancakes more often, not just because of me out of all things."

Jason shrugged, "I like eating healthy and staying in shape. My power, while useful, doesn't win fights for me," Jason kept his voice low, "I am a tall and naturally bulky guy. I can't be sneaky and hide around," Jason leavened forward, serious now, "Did you know around 60% of all villains have strength-enhancing powers? And even more so with heroes? If I don't stay on top of my game, I'm dead." And just like that, the serious tone and dark conversation was gone, and Jason leaned back with a lighthearted laugh, "And this is a special occasion! I never go out to eat with other people."

Addilyn never, ever talked about her job in public. She couldn't risk anything. And after the last, terrifying incident, Addilyn didn't plan on talking about her job out in the open ever, ever again. For a moment, she froze, staring wide eyed at Jason as he spoke. She listened of course, and knew where he was coming from, but she didn't reply either. Instead she discreetly looked around to see if anyone gave any sign that they had heard anything. Everyone seemed much to preoccupied with their food so Addilyn put it off to her being overly cautious, and generally afraid after the attack. For a moment she looked as if she was in an entirely different place, completely distracted with her past, then she snapped back into it. She managed to catch on to Jason's last words so she, somewhat, knew what he was talking about. "You should go out more then, or hang out with other people. I'm sure you have other friends? Maybe? I dunno, you just seem like the type." He really did, he was so much more... outgoing than she was.

"Nope. I don't have any friends... just acquaintances from work, and I'd rather not hang out with them in my free time," Jason saw the fear in Addilyns body posture, and instantly felt guilty. She probably lived in fear of being discovered, especially after the recent... incident.
