Iris nodded her head. Somewhat understanding what he had said. The pack hadn't been around large bodies of water? Well of that was the case the only thing they had to be worried about where the lakes. And the river, and possibly the shallow pond around the gathering rock if they had no intelligence. The storm was starting to wane. Iris wove her way through the grasses. Glad that the wind was a bit weaker. After a little while she felt the well worn path to the camp. This was the trail that led directly up the small plateau that was their camp.

I follow softly, trying not to disturb the grass. Starting to ascend, I watch the ground sink below us. The trail winds up and up until we create at a camp. The place is well defended. Only 2 ways up. I can only see one, the one I walked on, but no wolf would camp here if there was not a way to escape. That would be a death trap. I can see water in the middle of her camp. I turn to check on my pack and they seem relived and thirsty.

Iris stepped off of the sloped trail and onto the flat surface of the camp. Here the ground was mosty soft, light colored dirt with some patches of vegetation around the pool of water and the dens. The dens had different styles to them. The nursery den was to the far left of the middle of the camp and was dug underground. Safest for the pups. The alphas den was a clave like structure in the gathering rock. The other dens scattered around the edges of the camp where home to individual wolves, families , and sometimes groups of freinds. those dens where all different sometimes they where dug out; either from the ground or dirt was piled up and then molded into a sort of cave, those two where the most common but there where many other types. almost all the wolves where out of their den. They noticed the new wolves and started whispering to the wolves around them. Iris approached the alpha pair near the pool of water.

I walk through the camp. Suspicois stares bombard my pack as I try to stide confedently. Half my pack wimpers and crawls belly to the ground. This feels unatuaral. Clean air. Water. No cactus. Taking invantory of my pack, they are all here but Roadrunner. Where is he?

Iris nodded to the alphas as she walked forwards. When she reached them she paused. "Apparently these wolves need a place to stay." She told them. She stepped to the side.

My father walks forwards. "Sir" He says, adressing the Alpha male. "I am Alpha Seguaro of the desert pack. My pack is seeking refuge form the flash floods that curantly dominate our lands. On behalf of my pack, I implore you the lets us coexist with you and your kin until this hurricane disapates. We are no trouble exect a expecting mother to care for." He finishes and takes a step back, bowing.

(Artblock) Iris tilted her head ever so slightly. The plains alpha pair studied the desert pack. The plains alpha where called Cottonwood (male) and Mae (female). There was a long pause inbetween Seguaro asking the alphas for help the Cottenwood's response. "We will let you stay." The alpha male said " as long as your pack pulls their weight." (you can control the plains pack wolves. They are NPCs)

Sorry this took so long. Final exams are very annoying - "They can pull their weight easily, though they might need a nap." I badge in. Glancing at my pack, I am surprised more have not fallen asleep. The pups and the elders have, fast. "I'm Jeraboa, beta male and heir." I introduce myself.

Alpha cottonwood dipped his head softly than turned his head way from the desert wolves. The problem settled. The sun was starting to shine again. With the rain stopped Iris shook out her soaked fur. She quickly glanced over the desert pack and then walked over to wear her freind grouse was sitting, surveying the event that had just happened. Iris sat next to the mottled brown wolf. She greeted her and they started talking,

The problem resolved, I walk to the expecting she Wolf and lay next to her. "Hi Bearded Dragon, how are you feeling?" She proceeds to eyeroll me. "I said call my Dragon. I'm doing fine. I believe my pups are due soon. About a week. Where will I have them Beta?" "Most likely here, in the plains nursery or med den. Don't worry, we will take care of you." I say softly. Dragon practically raised me. I will not let anyone hurt her or her pups.
