Florian glanced down a bit when the detective sighed, “It could be the roommate, but I highly doubt it.” Of course she didn’t elaborate, he hadn’t expected her to but it would have been nice if she surprised him and actually did explain why she thought that.
“Let’s go see what they’ve dug up.” With that the blonde got out of the car and Florian just sighed. Why was it so hard to get her to be at least a bit friendly? At this point it seemed that he’d have to be happy as long as she wasn’t completely unfriendly to him and hopefully in the future, she’d warm up to him more. He followed Evelyn’s lead and got out of the car too, walking around the car and watching her let Hades out.
He followed the two inside the precinct as he felt a buzzing in his pocket and he pulled his phone out of it, looking at the name of the caller. The male frowned and quickly declined the call, he didn’t have the time to talk and he was thankful for that, he didn’t want to talk with that person. As he stepped onto the elevator, he got another call, from another caller this time. He bit the inside of his cheek a little as he declined that call too. Florian glanced quickly at the woman next to him, for the first time today he felt relieved that she wasn’t one to ask questions about personal life. Just as he was about to put his phone into his pocket again, it buzzed once more, this time only a text which he read through quickly, a sigh escaping his lips as he stepped off the elevator.
Florian looked up at the others in the room as he put his phone away. He moved closer to the other rookies, mumbling a quiet, “Hello,” to them before looking up at the detectives. The feeling he had currently was similar to that of when you were a little kid and you had to shut up while the grownups were talking. The young man put his hands behind his back as he leaned slightly against the wall, listening to the others talk about what they had found out so far.
(Sorry for taking so long! Been crazy busy xD)

Evelyn notes that Florian's phone went off three times, however she doesn't push. Especially since he didn't answer, they were on a case, and unless it was a call concerning the case, or someone in Florian's personal life had been injured, she would prefer he not answer. However she kept all of that to herself, focusing on her fellow detectives as Page starts. "So, digging into Arthur's past as well as our John Doe. Turns out, both work together at the same place, doing the same thing." Evelyn leans against her desk,"Which is?" Page puts up a picture of a local weapon store,"They both worked at Mikey's Guns. Both as clerks."
Evelyn raises an eyebrow,"So, they knew each other. Did we happen to get an ID of our John Doe?" Forest nods, placing up the picture of the John Doe beside the victim,"Name's Lucas Heartwood." Evelyn stares at the board,"Good. So what is so interesting about Mikey's Guns?" Page grins slightly,"Well... The owner, Micheal, is none other then Mikey Cabello." Evelyn's eyes widen,"Mikey Cabello? The Mikey Cabello?" Page and Forest exchange a glance,"The one and only." Evelyn frowns,"Hmm, could our two victims have accidentally gotten themselves into Mikey's personal business just by working for him?"
Page shrugs,"That's what we're assuming, because this--" Page puts up another picture on the murder board,"Is a surveillance video of some of Mikey's boys entering the gun shop.." Forest puts up another picture,"And this is a surveillance of our two victims following Mikey's boys out... And then--" Forest puts up a third picture,"Getting into the van and driving off." Evelyn muses,"So... Our victims got caught up in a cartel... Perhaps they saw something they shouldn't have. And Mikey decided to take them out." Elijah approaches,"Well, you can ask him that yourself, he's been waiting in interrogation."
Evelyn pushes herself off her desk,"Sweet." She swings her gaze on Florian,"Your welcome to come, but keep your mouth shut. If you come in, it's your first interrogation. Academy may have trained you to handle interrogations, but actually doing one..." Evelyn chuckles,"Well... You'll see." Evelyn doesn't wait for a response, turning and heading off for interrogation. Evelyn opens the door, spotting Mikey sitting at the table, cuffed to it. While an officer stood in the corner, on guard. Evelyn nods at the officer, who heads for the door and heads out. Evelyn closes the door, and strides towards the table.
"Micheal Carbello."

Florian listened to the detectives speak, looking at the pictures being shown. At the mention of Micheal Cabello, all four of the rookies exchanged excited glances, it wasn’t their first time hearing that name and to now get to work on a case involving him, that was really exciting. The blond-haired male looked back at the board as the other pictures were being shown. He studied the pictures while quietly listening to the detectives.
When it was revealed that Mikey was waiting in interrogation, Florian watched Evelyn get up and look over at him, “You're welcome to come, but keep your mouth shut. If you come in, it's your first interrogation. Academy may have trained you to handle interrogations, but actually doing one…” He was quick to stand up straight and follow after the woman who took off before he could even say anything back. Of course he wanted to join in, he hadn’t graduated from the academy to just sit around a station all day and stare at the walls, plus, it was a chance to get face to face with Micheal Cabello, the Micheal Cabello.
Once they reach the interrogation room containing Mikey, the rookie entered after MacQuoid, watching the officer leave before turning his attention to Michael and Evelyn who is quick to make her way over to the table. “Micheal Cabello.” “This is so cool…” the words left Florian’s mouth as a quiet whisper before he could even stop himself, it was meant to just be a thought but he’d accidentally said it out loud. He looked at Evelyn before looking down slightly, if she’d heard that then she surely wouldn’t be too happy with him.
Florian gulped a little and scratch the back of his neck a little before crossing his arms over his chest and looking up again, his blue gaze landing on Mikey, the man was scary looking, now that could partly be because he knew what the man was capable of, he’d heard and read several stories about the cartel and it was no wonder that the detectives suspected him to be the one behind the death of the two victims. The man leaned back against the wall, deciding to do his best at staying quiet and drawing as little attention to himself as possible, he was just gonna let Evelyn do her job and watch, like she’d told him to.

Evelyn hears a quiet whisper, but she couldn't exactly decipher the words. But she didn't care about that.. No. She cared about the tall, broad, dark haired man cuffed to the table. Michael Cabello was a legend among the cartels, the local mafias, and the New York law enforcement. Evelyn takes a seat, setting down her file, before her grey eyes met Michael's green ones. Michael narrows his eyes,"You gonna explain why I got hauled out my store? I was working." Evelyn raises an eyebrow,"Working?" Michael nods,"Yeah... I got a job. You got an issue with that?" Evelyn agrees,"When two of your employees didn't show up, I got a hell of an issue."
Michael just stares at Evelyn and she stares right back. "We have video evidence that shows Arthur Osborne and Lucas Heartwood getting into a van with boys from your cartel." Michael shrugs,"Okay, and? My boys needed some help, so Arthur and Lucas offered to help." Evelyn asks,"Help with what? Unloading illegal drugs from a ship?" Michael scoffs,"No." Evelyn narrows her eyes,"Then what did your boys need help with?" Michael shuts his mouth and Evelyn sighs, leaning back in her seat.
"Michael Carbello. New York's legendary cartel leader. Let's see, you were what? Seventeen when you became the leader of a cartel. Which you built up, using statistics and finding ways to sell drugs no other mafia or cartel could sell. By nineteen, you were New York's most famous cartel man. Everyone wanted to work for you, and you were rolling in dough... It's quite the life... Isn't it?" Michael scoffs,"I ain't saying anything, I know my rights." Evelyn agrees,"Indeed. But... I can still hold you for 48 hours. And, I can arrest you on possession of drugs." Michael fires back,"Possession of drugs that you cannot prove." Evelyn agrees,"Perhaps not, but, I'm not after you for drugs."
Michael raises his eyebrows and Evelyn leans back,"You like how you live now, Mikey?" Michael nods,"Yeah." Evelyn narrows her eyes,"Well, how would you like to live behind bars for the rest of your life for manslaughter?" Michael frowns,"Manslaughter?" Evelyn slides the pictures of the victims towards Michael,"Your employees, Mr. Osborne and Mr. Heartwood were found dead outside of Mr. Osborne's apartment. We checked their records, they have very clean records. Until they were caught on video, climbing into a van with cartel." Evelyn watches as Michael examines the pictures of the dead bodies.
"What happened, Mikey? They offer to help you with something? But got a little too deep? Saw a little too much? So you had them eliminated? Lucas tried to run while you strangled Arthur? Then you went after Arthur and finished the job?"

Florian stood silent, listening to the two speak and watching them. Michael was a smart man, if he wanted to do good then he could but instead he chose to use his smarts for making money in his own selfish ways. The blond-haired male shifted his weight from one leg to the other, crossing his legs as he stood leaned against the cold wall.
Florian kept moving his gaze between the two, watching whoever was talking. Mikey he knew about, he’d read and heard just about everything about him, who hadn’t? But Evelyn, she was more of a mystery to him, she didn’t talk much, she appeared very serious at all times, she seemed to let loose a little bit with the other three detectives though, and she didn’t seem happy to have a rookie trailing after her. That was his understanding of her so far at least. That and that she had to be smart and a really good detective, he noticed the way others acted around her, they respected her and listened when she spoke, rarely questioning her it seemed.
When Evelyn showed the pictures of the bodies to Mikey, Florian watched for any reaction. Of course the man had to have seen dead bodies before, considering his lifestyle, but what he wanted to see was if he seemed shocked or anything else when seeing the bodies. Florian had always found it interesting to watch others' body language during conversation, it tells you so much more than what their mouth does. Even the most skilled liars have their tells, you just have to figure it out. Reading other people’s body language also helped figuring out their mood without even talking to them, which was the reason he started studying the body language of others to begin with.

Michael scoffs,"Why would I murder my own employees?" Evelyn raises an eyebrow,"Because they wouldn't be afraid to turn you in." Michael sighs,"Arthur and Lucas were very aware of who I was when they applied for a job at my store. I warned them that my men would be coming in and out of the store, a lot. And they were fine with that." Evelyn leans forward,"That doesn't explain anything. Where were you between noon and two today, Mr. Carbello?" Michael raises an eyebrow,"I was busy. At home." Evelyn narrows her eyes,"Doing what?" Michael smirks,"Enjoying the company of a lovely women."
Evelyn rolls her eyes,"And what was the name of said, young woman?" Michael shrugs,"I didn't catch a name. I was too busy screwing her." Evelyn resists the urge to sigh,"Of course you were." Evelyn prepares to write,"Describe her." Michael holds Evelyn's gaze, and the detective half snaps. "Do you really wanna play the quiet game?" Michael smirks,"I can play the quiet game, but others? Especially females I'm with?" Evelyn couldn't believe it. Michael was flirting with her, probably trying to throw her off her game. Evelyn's eyes grow cold,"Describe her. Or I'll have DA press charges against you for drugs. And murder."
Michael protests,"I didn't kill no one." Evelyn's eyes were ice cold as she replies,"Alright, maybe you did. Maybe you didn't. But I could also press charges for obstruction of justice." Michael's confidence wavers before Evelyn's calm fury. Evelyn waits, before finally closing her file,"Alright. Fine." Evelyn gets up, nodding at Florian,"Let's go. I've got to make a call to the DA." Evelyn starts towards the door, only for Michael to call out,"Wait." Evelyn smirks to herself, before dropping the smirk, and turning around to face Michael.
The cartel leader was glaring at Evelyn, but relents,"I'll describe her." Evelyn walks back to the seat, sitting back down as she reopens a notepad. "She looked about my age, long blonde hair. Uh, green eyes... Had to be about 5'7, and her body-" Evelyn cuts Michael off,"Unless your giving me something useful, I don't want to know about the sex you had with her." Michael sighs,"Okay, okay. Geez... She was slender, not to skinny. Not to fat. And... She had a scar on her lip." Evelyn looks up,"Anything else?" Michael shakes his head,"No."
Evelyn closes her notepad, getting back up, and gathering her things. Evelyn glances at Florian, before heading out the door. Evelyn nods at the officer,"Escort him to the holding cells." Evelyn glances back to check Florian was following her, before heading over to her desk as the officer steps inside interrogation and leads Michael to the holding cells.

Evelyn didn’t even seem fazed when Mikey started flirting with her but then again, she probably had to deal with jerks flirting with her all the time, she was pretty-looking after all, and many people probably thought that it was a good way to get her to go easy on them. The detective just kept a stone-cold face though, not letting the man’s words soften her. Florian couldn’t help but to smirk slightly, while her rather cold personality made her hard to befriend and get along with, she was a skilled detective and he would probably learn a lot from spending time around her.
When Evelyn seemed to finally get fed up with the man, she simply got up and told Florian that they were leaving. Florian kept his blue gaze on Michael as he stood up straight and got ready to leave, he could see the confidence in the man disappearing. As they approached the door, Micheal’s voice stopped them and Florian looked at Evelyn who had a smirk on her face, everything seemed to be going according to her plan.
Florian returned to leaning on the wall as the detective took a seat again, finally getting something useful out of the cartel leader. When he was done describing the woman, Florian watched the detective gather her stuff and then glancing over at him, their eyes meeting for a brief second before she left and he quickly followed, casting a last glance at Cabello. As they made their way back to the blonde’s desk, Florian noticed her glancing back at her and he smiled playfully, “I haven’t gotten lost, I’m right behind you so no need to worry.”
((Really sorry that it's so short >.<))

"I haven't gotten lost, I'm right behind you so no need to worry."
Evelyn was in a good mood, so she returns the smile. It wasn't playful, it wasn't warm and affectionate, it wasn't cold either. But the smile was real. Evelyn's gaze tracks Michael Carbello as he is led to the holding cells. "Steffen, Norwood." The two boys look up as Evelyn beckons them over. Evelyn hands them the paper with the women's description on it,"See if you can track down this girl. Carbello said he was with her at the time of the murder." Forest nods as he takes the paper,"Alright." The two boys head off.
Evelyn sighs,"He's telling the truth. Michael Carbello is not our killer." Evelyn glances at the murder board,"Hey, Rodgers. Did you happen to dig up anything else on either of our victims?" Page looks up,"A few things. Where he went to high school, he didn't go to college. But, one of the neighbors? He's was a friend of both victim's back in high school." Evelyn frowns,"So, the neighbor and the victims were all friends?" Page shakes her head,"No. Arthur and Lucas ran in different groups, but the neighbor--" Page places a picture of the neighbor on the board.
"Todd Wayne ran with both groups." Evelyn nods,"Any priors?" Page answers,"No, Todd finished high school with high honors. Then he went on to college and graduated to." Evelyn frowns,"What does he do now?" Page looks at the file,"Says he works for his wife's father's company. A technology place." Evelyn glances at the photos,"Did anyone question him at the crime scene?" Page shakes her head,"I don't think so." Evelyn nods,"Alright, bring him in. I've got a few questions for him."

When he saw Evelyn smile back, his smile grew larger before he caught himself and took a breath to calm himself slightly and stop smiling like an idiot. On the inside he was bubbling with joy, she wasn’t just some cold workaholic, she was actually human and could be nice, more importantly, she’d been nice to him! It felt a bit like a win to receive a smile from the detective.
He watches as she asks Steffen and Norwood to find the woman, something that probably would be done within just a few minutes, the only real useful thing about the description was the scar, otherwise it could be just about anyone. Florian watched them leave, their rookies trailing after them. He waved slightly to his friends as they left after the detectives, earning a wave back from both of them.
He then listened in to what Page and Evelyn were saying, if anything that Todd guy could at least give them a better understanding of who the two victims had been before their death, and if they possibly had any enemies, since Mikey didn’t seem to be guilty, at least that’s what Evelyn thought but until that woman was found and could verify Michael’s whereabouts then they couldn’t be too sure, at least in Florian’s opinion.
“Alright, bring him in. I've got a few questions for him.”
That meant yet another interrogation which would be fun, he liked seeing the detective work for the most part. “Anything you need me to do for you while we wait?” Florian asked, looking at Evelyn while smiling softly, he wanted to do something, anything. As much fun as it was watching her work, it was getting a bit boring to just watch her work and nothing else.

"Anything you need me to do for you while we wait?"
Evelyn looks up,"If you'd like you can go help Steffen and Norwood. Everything I'm fixing to do while I wait is boring stuff." Evelyn takes a seat at her desk,"And maybe when the woman that Carbello was with comes in to confirm his whereabouts, you can interrogate her." Evelyn looks back at her computer, her current job was to see if she could figure out where exactly the victims had been before they had died. Most cases that Evelyn had worked, finding where the victims had been prior to death, had been incredibly helpful in finding the killer.
"Hey, Eve, Todd will be here in about fifteen minutes. Uniforms picked him up and are on their way back." Evelyn looks up,"Thanks." Page nods before sitting down at her desk. Evelyn looks back at her computer, scanning anything and everything for any signs of either victims cars. She found Lucas' car first, at his old high school. Evelyn frowns, what was he doing back there? His current work had nothing to do with a high school. In fact, it was illegal to have guns on school property. "Rodgers?" Page looks up,"Yeah?" Evelyn's gaze flashes up as the elevator opens and in enters Todd and his uniform escort.
"Will you go to the victims' high school and look around? Take your rookie, and maybe even a few others to help." Page frowns,"Did something come up there?" Evelyn nods,"I tracked Lucas' car to the high school yesterday, while school was still in session." Page gets up at once,"If he's working for Carbello, Carbello mighta ordered him to plant something in the school." Evelyn nods and Page starts off,"On my way." She summons her rookie and a few other uniforms before disappearing into the elevator.
"Detective MacQuoid. Mr. Wayne is in the interrogation room." Evelyn gets to her feet,"Thank you." The officer heads off and Evelyn calls out,"Florian, Todd's here." Then she starts off for the interrogation room. Pausing outside to wait for Florian before entering, her cool demeanor flaring up again.
