I woke to once again find the boys in a tighter circle. They were at least 6 inches from me, while Curse's tail was touching mine. I carefully attempted to move my tail without waking him but failed, his eyes shot open at the moment and he raised his head in alarm.

"Sorry," I whispered, "I was going to get up and stretch, then possibly go hunt for something small," I explained. He yawned got up and didn't wake any others.

"Don't worry, I will go with you," He said stretching, I got up and also stretched. We quietly trotted off to spot some breakfast. Deer was the first thing we saw.

After we killed 3 Curse ended up bringing one back for my parents. It seemed to be a peace offering, I stayed with the rest of the pack as he walked over to them.

"This is for you guys," he said quietly, they woke up while we were gone. My father was about to protest but Curse spoke again so I couldn't hear. I tilted my head in confusion but shook it off

I walked over to Zier and Nightmare, I was nervous but didn't let it show. "This is for you two," I said leaving the deer in front of them. I leaned closer to Zier and Nightmare. "I would like to ask permission to court your daughter to be my future mate," He asked. Zier sat silently for a second and Nightmare nudged him.

"Fine, I will let you," He said "But you better make a vow once you both mature, otherwise my consent is useless," He said

"Of course," I said "Thankyou," I said bowing my head in respect and trotting back over to Rose

"I like him," I said cheerfully to Zier and he gave me a look. I just smirked devilishly at him and started to eat.

When i woke up everyone was awake, just huddled in the corner, like they were when we fell asleep. I was about an inch or two away but Jade on the other hand was about a foot or two away. Dad looked at me before getting up and stretching. He then made his way to Curse but made sure to give us a look that said, Stay. The sent of blood was fresh but of course they wouldnt save some for us. Dad would have to hunt for us. Oh well i though as i yawned. Meanwhile dad bowed to Curse as he spoke, "May me and my kids go hunt for food for us?" The kids part made my eyes go wide. I didnt want to hunt and get myself bloody!

Curse and I both turned our heads "Yes, you may," Curse said. I sighed sitting on my haunches, "Don't know what to do?" Curse asked.

"Yup," I responded

"How about we patrol, this is new territory, so it needs to be inspected," He said and I rose to my feet

"I'm up for that," I said looking at everyone else. They were either waking up or awake, the sun was finally just coming over the horizon for it was still a little dark. Before I knew it we were running through the trees and dodging, he let me run in front of him half the time which surprised me. I wasn't wrong about the trees being so close together, it was harder for the larger predators to get through so there were little to none. We also seemed to be the first Raptors to claim this territory so Curse left his scent everywhere.

Dad came up to us with an unusal smile, but hey, im not complaining. "Time for your first lesson on how to survive the wild." I watched as the other raptors ran off before turning my attention back to Dad. "Come one, let go." Dad then trotted out of the cave. The sun was barely up but it was nice and warm as we trotted. "The first part in a hunt is tracking. This part is realitivly easy if prey is good." Dad then smelled the air before speaking again, "And it seems alot of small to medium prey lives here so it should be a peice of cake. Now, im going to make you guys into the perfect hunting teams. Each of you will have a special part. For the first part, tracking, Miracle will be the one." My eyes went wide, i was expecting to be the watcher or something. I honestly felt honered. My surprised face turned to pride as Dad stopped. "Now, the best way to learn is on the go, so Miracle, find us some food." My eyes widened again as my face turned to shock. "I- uh alright....." I smelled the air just like Dad had done. It surprizingly had many smells. If Summer had been here she wouldve went bonkers. Oh....Summer...... Tear filled my eyes as i lowered my head to the ground, hoping dad wouldnt see the tears forming in my eyes.

After we got back Curse jumped straight into roughhousing with the boys. I sat off to the side and watched, I wasn't hungry since I had a big meal and expected that so did the rest of them. My parents sat together and watched the boys wrestle and do their own things. I got bored and got up to clean the inside of the den. I didn't realize how long I had been cleaning until almost all the boys were worn out and asleep. I caught Curse staring at me as I cleaned but he didn't take his gaze off me so I continued to clean. By the time it was done I had decided to make myself a little area to sleep. It was similar to a nest but not one made for eggs, just one to lay in and be comfortable. My mom also did this but in a different part of the cave, it didn't take long for her and my dad to get resettled. I sat down in my "nest" and not long after the boys started to come in. Were they really being considerate and waiting for me to clean the inside before going in so I wouldn't have to work around them?

Curse sat down in his usual spot not far from me, the rest were a bit more scattered. I sighed, I guess the fact I lost my siblings isn't affecting me as much as it affected my mother. I got accepted into a new pack right away, while she had to create one. My parents were taking the loss of my siblings hard, my dad comforted my mom a lot. The boys respected their boundaries and gave them distance so they could still have space. It made it a little more crowded, but I didn't mind. I don't know why I didn't like sleeping with my family when we were all this close together, but with the boys, I don't mind. It was confusing and I couldn't figure it out so I just curled up with my head sticking out. It was still day, so I decided I would take a nap like the rest of them. Curse stayed awake, even though he was near the center he could still see perfectly outside the cave. I didn't realize I was staring until we made eye contact. I picked my head up and moved it so I was completely curled up but I heard a chuckle come from Curse. He wasn't going to say anything since everyone was around, I thanked our creators for that.

I wasnt sure, but i think Miracle is crying as she sniffed the ground. I wasnt sure if it was because she had to go first, she got the easyest job, or because she missed mom and our other siblings, or it couldve just been my imgination. No one eles seemed to think she was crying so i just kept quiet. Just then Miracle found a sent or something because she took off at a walk, nose to the ground. Ewww i thought, shes probably going to snif up a bug. Dad was right beside Miracle while Pixel and Jade were right behind them. Me on the other hand was a few feet away. After a couple minutes everyone turned their heads to look at something. I relucktantly went closer only to see a moose and her young. My eyes went wide as Dad turned to us.

"Alright the next part of the hunt is the chase. Jade, your the fastest so youll do this part." Jade puffed up her nest with pride before nodding. "Alright, so what your going to do is your going to chase the moose until you can tell its getting tired. Then run it towards us. If it dosent run at first Pixel will scare it then go on as planned alright?" Pixel and Jade nodded before listening to Dad again. "While you chase it Jade ill explain to the others what to do got it?" Jade nodded before running towards the moose. Once the moose saw Jade it tryed to kick her. Pixel quickly ran up to the moose and let out a loud roar. The moose just tryed to kick her so with no choice let she jumped onto its neck. The moose flung Pixel off before taking off. Pixel retreated back us while Jade chased the moose. I could tell she wanted to go faster but since the baby was there she could only go so fast.

"Alright the next part, once Jade brings it to us, the hunting part begins. Pixel this is your job. What you do is that you just try to kill it. I might help you since its pretty big and protective of its young. Anyways, when its almost down the next part will begin. This part is yours Snowfall." Ohhh no! I thought to myself as i squeezed my eyes closed. "This part is the take down. Once its almost dead youll sweep in for the final kill. You jump onto its neck and never let go until you feel it stop breathing. Now i know you dont like this stuff but you have to if you want to eat." I sighed before nodding. I was for sure i was going to hate this as we all turned to watch Jade countinue to chase the moose.

Everyone was just relaxing, some even fell asleep. On the other hand, I couldn't, I became restless. I couldn't stop moving so eventually I turned around to curl up and face Curse with a huff. He had his gaze on me even before I turned around to look at him.

"What are you doing?" He asked tilting his head with a laugh

"I',m pouting," I grumbled, "I can't get comfortable or sit still," I explained. He scooted closer and our sides were practically touching being only an inch away from each other.

"Does this help," He said slightly leaning into my side with a grin. I looked at him with a straight face

"I've never really been one for sleeping/napping with someone touching me," I said then sighed realizing something "But I guess this isn't bad," I said curling up into a ball and resting my head on the ground. I felt Curse shift so he was also in a ball but our backs were to each other. He didn't rest his head though, he kept it raised. Soon enough I finally drifted off, dreaming only of running through the forest as if I were a lone raptor with no worries or struggles.

After a while of us watching Jade run the moose she finally ran it towards us. As it got closer i could see both the moose and the baby mooses sides heaving. Jade on the otherside seemed happy and just fine. How can she be happy when Summer, and all the others died....? I shook my head before watching the moose rush past us. Jade stopped beside me with a smile before watching Pixel charge at the moose. Dad circled the moose before deciding to get the baby while Pixel attacked the moose. Before he swooped into get the baby he mouthed to us "If Pixel needs help, help her!" He then dove towards the baby at full speed. The baby quickly ran, leading dad out of sight.

I turned back to Pixel who now had the moose's neck in her jaws, clamping down. The moose still fought though, even though her baby was gone and she was exhausted. After what seemed for an eternity Pixel let out a click, calling Snowfall. I glanced at Snowfall who looked like she was going to cry. After a couple seconds of her calming herself she finally dashed towards the moose and our sister. Pixel quickly jumped out of the way as Snowfall slammed into the moose, knocking it to its feet. As the moose tryed to get up Snowfall relucktantly bite into its neck.

The moose countinued to struggle but Snowfall just clamped down harder. A couple minutes later Snowfall let the limp moose fall to the ground. She turned to us with a smile before calling us to come. We rushed up to her, nuzzling her bloody face. We all laughed as we fell to the ground after Pixel tackled us. Just then Dad trotted up to us with the baby in his mouth. "This baby had alot of fight in her." He chuckled before putting the baby down beside us. "Now get up and lets eat! But dont eat the baby, thats for Curse and Rose."

Soon we were all digging into the meat. "The meat at the enclouser never tasted this good!" Snowfall said with a mouthful. Dad chuckled before turning back to his food. He let us have most of the food but he made sure to keep the baby away from us. After we were done eating we headed back to the pack, our bellies full. Soon though we got back. Snowfall had already somehow cleaned the blood on her face while we were running but the rest of us were covered in blood. Dad went up to Curse, bowing like Curse was the king. Snowfall rolled her eyes but i understood why dad did it. I still didnt like it though. Dad then put the baby down before pushing it towards Curse. "Extra, for you." He said, still bowing.

I woke up to the sound of everyone returning and I raised my head with a groan. I heard a light chuckle come from Curse, then Azul trotted up to us.

"Extra, for you," he said, it was a baby moose I cringed in disgust. Curse seemed to understand why after he got a glimpse.

"No thank you, we all have a belly full and are currently just relaxing. We will probably go on patrol soon since it is high noon now." He said with a pause "It's not smart to take the baby, when Rose did a patrol there were barely any. Even if you left it alone it is still big enough to survive on its own." He explained. I was glad he was able to voice for me right now, without directly voicing for me. I sighed and rested my head on his back my eyes were on Azul but Curse turned to look at me. A faint tint appeared on Curse's cheeks.

Dad looked ashamed as he lowered his head even more. "Im sorry for my foolishness. I shouldve known better. My childern will do better though." To me it looked like all her wanted was for us to be safe. It kinda made me feel sorry for him but i knew life is just unfair. Dad was then about to speak again when he realized he should probably leave. "Click if you need me." He said before walking out of the cave. He gently set the baby down before returning to the corner we slept in. Everyone layed for sat down beside him except for me and Snowfall. Snowfall sat down to his left and i layed down to his right. We were both about a foot away. I then watched Curse and Rose. It made me remember about how brave Amor had been to tell his feelings to Rose infront of Curse. It was a shame Rose didnt like him. They wouldve been a cute couple..... I shook my head, that kind of stuff was not for me. I much rather be out by myself, running prey down, being happy...... But atlast, i knew that i would never be able to hunt without my siblings. We were a team, despite how much Snowfall and I protested.
