For once, Rowan thought it would be a peaceful walk. She was mistaken. There was a plea and yell, and a tingling that told Rowan someone passed through. Knowing Alvaro could feel it too, Rowan told Nakia to run with them, and began to sprint, drawing her sword. Ahead was a group of three large manticores chasing down a little girl, clutching a plant tightly to her chest.

Alvaro gently tugged his sword out of its sheath, Nakia bounded next to the two adults in her little mountain lion form. Her eyes narrowed as she saw the manticores, anger and pure destruction clouding her sensibility and she leapt into the air. Clinging onto the windpipe of a huge manticore. The manticore roared and tried to shake the kitten off. But the shifter didn't budge. Alvaro's eyes widened and he released a wave of pure power at one. Drawing its attention onto him. He flew above the manticore and it followed. It's huge wings absolutely terrifying. Nakia was actually doing a good job with the manticore. Her catamount nature coming into play as she tried to suffocate him.

Rowan was quick to put herself between the manticores and child, dispatching one with odd grace and ease coming from someone who regularly stabbed herself with a sewing needle. Battle came to Rowan. as second nature.

Nakia had the manticore on the floor, as he'd stopped struggling since there was no longer air seeping into his lungs. He wasn't dead yet, but Nakia still looked proud of herself. Tired, but proud. Alvaro had taken on the biggest manticore out of the three, it was very skilled in some sort of dark magic and it's slithery magics stung Alvaro's skin. He groaned as he sent out a bunch of pure, light magic and sent the big thing stumbling backwards in the sky. From there, he cut off its head. Then, he glided to the forest floor, exhausted from using his white magic on something so tainted.

Rowen quickly killed the manticore Nakia had been fighting. It would die soon enough, but it was always risky to let an enemy live longer than they had to.
The little child seemed to cowered away from them, huddling the tree close to her chest and scooting in the dirt.

Nakia shook herself off from the fight. A tiny cut on her nose bled but she just licked off the blood. It just stung a little. Besides, there was a new someone. She smelled like trees. Alvaro flicked his sword, getting off most of the greenish-blue blood. Then he sheathed it. Careful not to let any blood touch his skin. If the blood entered your body, you'd die in under 10 minutes. The little mountain lion tried to approach the little girl but Alvaro put his foot out in front of her. The little nymph was obviously scared. Nakia hissed at Alvaro softly but returned to momma Rowan. Glaring at Alvaro the whole time. "Hello there. It is safe now, we will not hurt you. I'm Alvaro Webley, second in command of the Core-Wells faerie colony." Many magical beings of the forest knew Alvaro's name or at least his colony. His green mark pulsed with a soft, emerald light.

The few leaves that remained on the tree quivered, and a few fell off, a sign of her fear, but the girl no longer backed away. She recognized the name and place, having ground it into her memory. "Hyll, originally from the Oak Glen near the Saltseed Lake," She introduced, like she had been taught. The Oak Glen was a well known area, known for having the biggest nymph population around.

Alvaro gave Hyll a toothy grin, not at all unkind. Just pleasant and calm. "Well it is nice to meet you. It looks like you need some help. That's your tree yes?" He gestured to the plant in her hand, "looks like you need some help. I can try to heal it enough to get you to a place where you can set it down."
