Ekon ran as close as he dared to Anasuri, Zaine steady underneath him. The horse was on edge just as much as Ekon was. It was probably a good thing, as Ekon had backup just in case anything did happen to occur on the way home. Perhaps the horse would give him a warning.

I dunno. We could make this the part where Ekon decides he isn't gonna kill Anasuri cuz he literally almost dies and she saves him?? I dunno. Its up to you.

Sure! mb they are going and someone with a power of very good aim literally skewers kanu once they are close to the palace. and they both know if kanu goes to the medics they probably won't do much to save him, since for the palace, guards are expendable. so with the help of the bears she gets him to her room and heals him with her potions and medical knowledge

Zaine was the first thing that alerted Ekon something was off. Of course he was paying attention, as that was his job, but he didn't see anything wrong. Zaine's sudden nervousness surprised him, and made him look around for whatever had spooked his normally calm horse, that's when he spotted the man in the treeline. He was at most 100 feet away and had his bow nocked and an arrow ready to fly, right at Anasuri. Ekon didn't think, he just moved. He urged Zaine forward covering Anasuri with his own body as a sharp dagger formed from his various jewlery. The arrow shot forward as Ekon sent the dagger at the man, knowing his aim would be true and kill him. He didn't have enough time to create a shield, and he couldn't make one regardless as he'd used many to create the dagger. So he watched as the arrow came hurtling towards him instead of Anasuri. The arrow hit his left side with a startling amount of force, his lung erupted into pain and he cried out. The normally stoic elf had a look of intense pain as he slipped off Zaine landing with a scream. The arrow had embedded itself in his lung, which in turn, caused his lung to collapse. His breathing shallowed and his heart began to race. Suddenly, Dakota was there, the huge bear releasing a low whimper as he stared hopelessly at his master. This was a very deadly wound that would most likely end in Ekon's death.

Anasuri didn't know what had even happened, but her intuitive horse stopped and wheeled around, going back to Ekon. After checking to see that her would-be murder was dead, Anasuri slid off her horse and called for Dava in a fluid movement. She slid to her knees beside her knight, and listened for his breathing. It was faint, but there. It would cause more harm than good to remove the arrow, Anasuri quickly thought, and absent-mindedly healed Ekon's tiny scraped she bruised that had formed when he fell from Zaine. "Okay... Melton has a wider trunk... Mellon," Since the horse had been a Companion, he knew the human language well, "Kneel down. Dakota... If Dava helps you, can you carefully put Ekon on Melion's back? We have to get him back home fast... I'll ride with him and try to keep him as still as possible." Once they got home she'd find a physician... no, that wouldn't work. This injury was serious, and the physicians would be told it wasn't worth it to save him. Anasuri would have to do it. And they'd have to go fast.
