Addilyn practically skipped over to Jason. She was just in such a good mood, having a job and being able to pay for her mother's expenses was just such a relief. It might sound ridiculous to some but she really, really needed the money she got. Not matter how rich she seemed. So the weight on her shoulders had lifted and she was free now. She slid into the seat in front of Jason, a small smile on her face. When he said sorry, she just shook her head. "Oh no it's fine, really. I kinda just felt like getting all dressed up. I'm just being a little extra. Like normal. Just..a really good thing happened and I rarely go out anymore so I just dressed nice." Addilyn smiled up at Jason from her side of the table. Her smile could light up a whole room.

Jason wasn't flustered, but if his face was slightly hotter than normal, and if he was smiling a lot more than normal, well... Addilyn didn't know him that well yet, "Well, I'm glad your happy. Do you want to look at the menu? I'm paying, so get whatever you want."

Addilyn smiled for a good minute before Jason talked about paying. A determined look appearing on her face. "You sure you're paying? I can pay if you want. I don't mind." Addilyn was looking Jason dead in the eye, she could tell if he didn't want to pay whenever he spoke. She would be able to feel it.

"I want to pay," Jason was dead serious and intent on this, "I asked you out, so it's only right that i pay for the food. It would be wrong to expect you to pay. I promise I want to."

Addilyn nodded, that seemed fair enough. He'd asked so he'd pay. It seemed only right now that she thought about it. "Ok, fine by me, thank you though." She smiled softly, then she opened the menu and started looking for some good food. A thoughtful expression on her face.

Once they both ordered, Jason stilled his tapping foot, "So, uh... Do you like to read?" Jason had not planned out a conversation. He was internally panicking, but none of it showed. He was smiling, and his posture was relaxed.

Addilyn thought about that question for a moment. Her green eyes wandering. "It depends on the type of book. I don't have a lot of time on my hands due to my job and stuff. But when I do get the chance to read I can do it for hours as long as the book grabs my attention." Addi shrugged, not knowing what exactly to say. "What about you?"

Jason didn't really want to say he liked gorey books, so he said something close, "I like books with a lot of action in them. It's fun to imagine in playing out in real life. Really, if the author is good, I'll read almost anything."

Addilyn smiled, her full attention on Jason. "Yea, authors make up a good portion of if the book is good are not. Sometimes they make quite a few good books but then they stop having passion for what they're writing and start writing just to write." Addilyn shrugged, taking a sip of her drink. She knew a lot about writing. Why? Well she sort of wrote for a bit. Just a singular book, under a different name. It had become quite popular but she just couldn't find the heart to write a second one. So in order not to let down her viewers with poor writing she'd just stopped. It was surprising for someone like her to write, but she had done it with a passion. Now she didn't do it at all
