Angst warning and possible triggers

"h̶̗̊o̴̺̽w̶̫̾ ̶̛̭i̷̥͛s̴̞͗ ̶̻̔ť̸̙h̷̛͇ẻ̵͉ ̴͎̆h̵̪́ṷ̷̿m̸̎͜a̶̛͜n̴̫͂ ̶͙̿d̸̤͊o̷̜͋i̴͕͆n̷̳͗g̸̤͠,̶̭̐ ̵̨̽i̶̱̒ ̸̭̈d̴̤̓ò̴͔n̶̞̈́'̷͖͂t̶̳̿ ̵̻̊h̷̹̀e̵̫͑ả̶̩r̸̟̍ ̴̢͂h̴̛ͅe̸̖͒r̸͛͜ ̶͖͋c̷͖̈r̶͊ͅy̶͖̍i̵̗̾n̵͙͘g̵̅ͅ ̴͚͝a̸̋ͅn̵̯̊ỳ̵͕m̷̨͆o̴̟̍r̴̕͜é̴̯," I said glancing to the room but unsure. I had a bad feeling that something happened.

"Oh she wanted to sleep so she is currently in the room alone, she was crying in her sleep and having night terrors for a while though. I don't know if it is a side effect on mortals in hell." the woman explained and I cautiously opened the door. A look of anger appeared on my face,

"s̷̤̈́ḧ̸̖́e̵̯̍ ̷̱͂ị̵̃s̸̟͌ ̴̯͝g̸̘̔ō̸̟n̷̰̾e̵̹̽!̸̱́" I said with a growl, anger laced my tone. The immortal froze and looked inside and at the open window as I was storming outside the building to hunt for her.

Hell was cold, most think it will be hot, but it's not. The thing is, any mortal would freeze to death if they weren't protected from the cold. The dress she was wearing was not built for the cold. So many things could go wrong. I hated this, my side job hadn't even officially started and I was already hunting her down. If I didn't find her in time she would either freeze to death, die because of rogue demons, or a demonic creature found her.

I quickly retrieved my horse and started following her footprint and her scent. The horse was wearing its armor but the only thing I had on was sweatpants and a sweatshirt. It couldn't have been more obvious I was looking for something. Some demons watched me intrigued and started "looking" as well, almost hoping they could find whatever it was first. Demons have their reputation for a reason and I knew that if some found her they would kill her without thought; some would eat her; the ones that disgusted me were the ones that would use her body like a toy till she died. I was hoping that if I didn't find her first a creature would. A creature would give me extra time since they like to inspect and play with their food.

When I finally saw her in the distance I saw a hound trying to pounce on her and bite her. The hound managed to pin her just as I got there. I jumped off my horse and took out my spear stabbing it in the side and throwing it off of her. I crushed its skull with my foot and turned to see her trying to run.

"o̶̥͝h̵̯̔ ̸̮̏n̸̙̄o̴͚͗ ̸̡̐y̴͔͋o̸̬͂ũ̶̟ ̴̫̈́d̵̢̚o̷̼͋ǹ̷̪'̶͉͑t̴̨̂," I said before I turned into my human form. If she couldn't understand me as a demon then I knew she would understand clear English. I grabbed her arm aggressively forcing her to look at me as my other hand grabbed her other arm. My grip dug into her skin.

"knock it off before I lock you in a cage until your guardian angel gets replaced," I growled "I can't physically harm you but there are no rules against restraining you and locking you up!" I growled "So either behave and you get to see your family and go back to the mortal realm, or keep acting up and I will lock you up until your new guardian angel comes to get you." I stated still growling "Do I make myself clear!?" I said assertively.

Clara screamed when the hound was trying to hurt her before she saw the same guy kill the hound she quickly tried to run before she felt a hand grab her and she screamed some more before she looked at him with scared eyes before listening and said “ let go of me I don’t give a care what you do I will still get out no matter what you try to do “ as she try to pull her arms out of his grasp as she said “ you hurting my arms please let go “ as she try to pull them out of his hand but as she stops trying tears in her eyes as the memory of her family picking on her and beating her up ran through her mind but she looks up at him and notice how cute he was and wonder if she should listen but then snaps out of it as she pulls her arms again and manage to get one as she slaps him across the face and said “I won’t say it again let me go “ as she kind of growled herself before she fights to let her other had go. Clara wanted to be gone from the world already before saying “I don’t need no angel so just let me leave please”

Every time she fought, she knew she will never win a guy who is a bit taller and stronger than her, but her mother taught her don’t let a man see you weak. Clara said “ I don’t know why your job is to keep me here but I think I had enough of you now please you don’t need me in your way I am leaving now” as she pulls on her arm one more time it hurt from how tight he was holding her and my arm would end up bruised since I didn’t have much muscle in my arm and it didn’t really help her at all only made her even more scared then she was before. Clara said “I am sorry alright I am known I might be stubborn and want out of this, but it won’t change a thing of how I don’t like you and hopefully my guardian angel come as fast as those wings can carry her that way, I don’t have to be here any longer than I have to”

She knew that was true since she really didn’t want to see him ever again but still argue with him by letting her arm go even through was never going to do that at all since, he wanted to chain her up in a jail well good luck with that is hard to drag her back even thought she would have to fight for a lot even if she was weak and he was stronger.

I was fuming, she seemed to ignore half of what I said. When she slapped me I used my free hand to grab her jaw, this time not enough to bruise but enough she wouldn't be able to break my grip. I got closer to her face.

"Listen here, you can leave but you cannot leave my sight. I don't want to be stuck in this mess either but apparently, you are important enough in god's plan that you need a damn guardian angel. While they are training a new one you are stuck with me as a protector." I said quietly but in an assertive tone. "Now if you run off again and I can't find you in time, not even god can see what will harm you down here. So if you behave I will take you back home. Just keep in mind I will always be near you since I am your guardian until your damned angel comes. Whether I look like a crow, a black cat, a black wolf, or some other sign of bad luck and death." I said still keeping the same tone of voice. "I'm going to let you go now and then we will walk back to the entrance of hell and I will take you home. If you try and run away, just know, I will wrap you in chains and drag you." I stated, getting my point across.

I let go of her and pulled away taking a deep breath, visibly irritated as I ran my hand through my hair. I looked around, glad that no one was around. I glanced at her knowing she was running on adrenaline and would get extremely cold at any moment. I commanded my demon horse to lay down so I could reach the saddle bags as I pulled out a cloak. I held it out to her, I remembered that for some humans wrapping themselves in something soft also helps them calm down. I only hoped that it was the same for her and that she would accept it so I could finally get a break from the drama.

Clara gasp as he grabs her chin and wince before she groans as he lets go after saying everything, he had to say she looks at him with a glare before looking away and said “you won’t be able to follow me anyways into my house since my house banned animals and my parents hates them “ as she snaps at him before he handed her a cloak and she grabs it as she wraps herself with it and said “Uh thank you “ as she didn’t look at him and when quite before she say something wrong, Clara sighed then turns around and marches away like the stubbiness she is, before saying “ you can tell them to forget it I don’t need an angel nor do I need you to protect me no matter who ever think I need one “ as she turns and looks at him before saying “my parents would be worry about so I need to leave right now so goodbye “ as she takes off walking she really hated talking to him more than anything she wanted her warm bed her own room , the pace and quite again and the safety being at home.

Clara looks back to make sure he wasn’t following or even thinking about chaining her up she mumbles “chaining a woman up and dragging her he is no gentleman at all, why would someone want a person like that around her” as she shakes her head before she keeps walking then sighed before saying “can’t he at least act like a human and not someone who control someone life” Clara sighed and looks down this was a bit hard on her and she wanted it to go away for once in her life this time it wasn’t like her mother dying, Clara keeps walking in a fast speed before she felt tired and sleepy why was she feeling like that she is just walking in the cold trying to keep warm at least and she was feeling tired he has to do something with that but there was no way to prove that at all . Clara shakes her head and places a hand on her head as she groans and stumbles

When Clara called him a human, in his brain, he lost it. His poker face stayed, but for demons, the term "human" was derogatory. Of course, she didn't know that but any demon who was called human was considered simple, powerless, and weak.

He was snapped out of his thoughts when she started to walk away. He rolled his eyes tired of her attitude.

"How can a human look like a doll but have the attitude of an old mare," He said under his breath before turning into his demon form and following her from a great distance on his horse. He sent word that the demon in her house disguised as her could leave and follow a certain story that he had come up with.

Once he saw that the adrenaline was wearing off and exhaustion was catching up with her. He sped up the pace and caught up with her as she stumbled. Reaching over the side of the horse he picked her up as her eyes were half-closed. She sat partially in his lap as he left the gates of hell and he and his horse changed form to look like a normal horse and a normal human.

The Horse was a dapple-grey mare, but his human form was different. In these times any darker-skinned person was a slave,, and so if he was seen with her they would try to hang him. So he changed his appearance to a white male with blue eyes and brown hair. Taking on the appearance of a young man who looks like he comes from a wealthy family.

He rode the mare out of the woods as if he found her inside because that is where the demon disguised as her walked into. There were a couple of shocked and worried expressions turned into relief as he explained the "story" that he had saved her from a forest monster. He asked for directions to where she lived and brought her home. When he arrived he got off the horse and carried her up to the door, bridal style. He remembered everything she said about her parents so the moment one of them opened the door he bowed his head respectfully.

"Hello, I am Perrin Viscot, my father is a lord in a land far from here but his name is Drake Viscot. I was just taking a shortcut through the woods and stumbled upon your daughter. I was told this is where she lives and I wanted you to know that she was seen wandering into the forest and was attacked by a demonic creature. I managed to save her but she might be a little disoriented and hallucinating for a few days. the demon she ran into may have caused the side effect of altering her memories as well, but they too shall return to normal, she will just forget the incident happened." He explained carefully and slowly.

Clara squeaks when he picked her up before she lays her head on his chest and closes her eyes as she falls asleep in his arms this time, she had a peaceful dream then what other time she tries to sleep she moves a bit before calming down and breaths lightly that really calms her down. Her father said “oh my god thank you i was so worried that she got killed or kidnapped” as he then said “oh come on in can i get you anything to drink” as her father walks away, and her stepbrother came up and said “I'll take Clara upstairs she seems tired” as he came to take her in to his arms away from this guy he really didn’t want to trust at all but he understood his role in the house and his father said “i want to reward you of bring her back safety but i don’t want her to a bother so if my son here takes her upstairs we can talk to see what kind of gift you can have” as he smiles softly but in an evil way her brother takes her upstairs and smiles before saying “ welcome back sis” as he put her in bed and walks to the door stays for a while before walking out and back downstairs.

Clara groans as she wakes up looks around and said “where am I" then it hit her it was her home was she was back smiles spread across her face as she stood and yawns before she got up and walks to the closet and changes into a blue dress that had silver like armor, but it wasn’t armor it was a lace on the top of the dress and it fit her perfectly as she loved wearing this dress it was her mothers and she was taking care of it very good . Clara grabs the door handle and walks out as she bumps into her brother who said “well look who awake” Clara said “hi brother what do you want” her brother pinned her against the wall and said “ i want the truth about this guy who brought you in” Clara groans and said “ I won’t so let go over me” he laughs and slaps her hard and said “listen runt you not my real blooded sister so you will listen to us and tell” as he lets go but push as he did making her hit the wall with her head and she groans holding her head before feeling the slap on her face as she watches her stepbrother walk away and downstair laughing still

Phantom sat in a tree, looking inside as he was currently in the shape of a crow. Other crows seemed to have found their way over to him so he wasn't the only one. Thankfully there was a dead raccoon on the ground so it didn't look suspicious. The wind was blowing and he turned to look in the direction of the woods, already missing his job. It only made him wonder what his next job would be if he got promoted. There were many different jobs; the demons who guard the gates of hell; The demons who guard the palace; the demons who keep the guardian angels in check so they don't cross any boundaries; and the demons who meet with the angels regularly to make sure no, changes need to be made; the list goes on.

Phantom was drug out of his thoughts when Clara woke up and he focused somewhere else when she changed. When she stepped out of her room he saw her brother pick on her, he managed to hear what her brother said but couldn't care less. As long as she wasn't going to die or at risk of dying he wouldn't step in unless he was bored. He had a feeling that she could easily figure out it was him since his eyes were pure grey.

He looked around, quite a few humans were wandering about. He recognized a couple of them as the friends that went with Clara into the forest. He flew over and landed in front of them. Every time they tried to go around he hopped in front of them and once they finally got around him he chased them for a bit. Once he got bored of that as well he went back to the tree. He noticed a window was open and went and stood on the window sill as he was still in the shape of a crow. He decided to spook her and caw her name.

"Clara" he cawed, waiting for her reaction.

When Clara came back into the bedroom and sat down on her desk with tears in her eyes, she was back at the same place that hated her or more less her guts before she looks around her room was small not as big, but it was just an attic like place or it was the attic since she lived there with her mom it did have a nice window those that she left open for the warm air to come in as she lays her head down on the desk top and sighed before hearing her name and said “ not again i won’t tell you nothing “ before she looks were they sound came from and jumps in shock and said “ am i dreaming or did a bird speak to me” before looking at this ravens eyes and said “wait you are that guy isn’t that right why are you even here go home i don’t need you “ again her stubbornness was getting out of hand sometime but she didn’t really care about that it reminded her like her mother,

Clara heard someone coming up the stairs and sighed before looking at the wall and said “i wish i never met you or wish i never came back here i should have just ran away” as she walks away from the crow and then said “ i am more crazy talking to a bird “ as she shakes her head then walks over to the window to make it fly away at least to close her window that way it never bothers her again but she stops short at a knock came from the door and dad yells “daughter i need to speak with you this minute” Clara sighed and said “coming dad” before turns and said “ you better be gone by the time i come back and if you are not ill shot you” as she groans and walks to the door leaving him alone at least for now.

As Clara got to her dad office she could hear her stepmother speaking to her dad about something before she walks in and said “you need anything dad” he looks up and said “daughter that guy that brought you here i think he would be a fine man to marry but you have to find him and ask him out at least give it a try” Clara said “what guy dad you have lost your mind “ stepmother said “ now don’t be rude you know the guy we are speaking about” CLara sighed and thought ‘ they can’t be thinking phantom great’ before she looks at them and said “ i am sorry dad and stepmother i can’t marry that guy no matter if you guys want me to marry i just can there is no way i would” her dad stood and said “ i say you marry and that's final now go back to your room young lady” Clara nods and turns around before walking out hoping that bird was gone like she had said for the least

I sat wondering for a while, plotting. Did I want to hide next to the stuffed animal on the bed and see how long it would take her to notice? Maybe even perch on a shelf since humans normally don't look up unless they look for something. Even under the bed would scare her- wait. That would be hilarious a demon under the bed. When she finally entered the room I dove under the bed. I don't know if she could process what had gone under her bed other than a bird or even a weird shadow. I just knew it was going to be entertaining.

Once under the bed I quickly changed into my normal human form, the one with darker skin, grey eyes, and white hair, aka the one she would recognize. I glanced to my side and saw that there was a small demon already under her bed. I squinted my eyes, recognizing it as the type that normally causes your memories to act up, twisting them. The starting stages of this demon's effect were nightmares. The only problem was that it also affected other demons, so I had a strong hate for them despite how weak they were. I immediately grabbed it and killed it with one squeeze of my hand.

Suddenly someone was peeking under the bed, I smirked a devilish grin.

"Well, hello," I said as I turned into a shadow and came out from under the bed before turning back into a human. I took this as the time to look around the room, earlier I was just looking for a place to hide after all. I didn't exactly fit in the room so my head was bent a little. her bed didn't even look like it could hold my weight so there wasn't anywhere I could sit either.

Once I got to my bedroom I sighed before seeing something go under my bed but decided to ignore it for now before saying " I through I told you to leave the room " as I walks to the bed and peeks under neath and smiles at him before shaking her head and walks to her desk and sat down before turning her chair towards him and said "since you be watching me for a while until my guardian angel comes to replace you maybe we should get to know each other at least how does that sound " as I knew he might not want to since how fun is it to watch a boring girl who barely gets to do anything exciting. I looked away that way I don't have to keep staring or even admire how cute he was even how tall he is not that it bothers me it just looks weird when he standing like that. I spoke up again "you can sat if you feel uncomfortable I don't have really no where to sit but my bed where do fine sit there if you like.

I sighed hard before saying " I really don't really know why I am special I am not really just someone who doesn't get along with parents or when let the person you lose let go. I guess you can guess since I live in the attic at least as most children don't do that " as i sighed again and turn to my desk and lays my head on it and the looks at the window wishing I could never be here but that never would happen. I could hear a TV on and three people laughing and I knew who it was my step mom, dad and step sister or step brother on of those two, but then someone knocked on the door and enters leaving no time for someone to hide as she said " well who is that lovely man " as she smiles at him before I snapped " I warned you never enter my room " step sister laughs before saying " come on sister I know I hate but doesn't mean you can be cruel to me " I mumble " just leave please " as I really didn't need her stressing me out.

My step sister move closer to phantom and said " what your name tall handsome boy " I rolled my eyes and said " I am going to go and tell dad " she said " fine I leave but I'll find out his name soon so don't think you can hide him " as she walks away and I sighed before walking to the window and said "I am leaving you can come if you want or stay I don't care " as I looked down the window and shallows before mumbles " I can do this I done it before "
