Kage looked her up and down, though there wasn't any judgment in his eyes. "Firestarter." The prince didn't bother to get up to greet her, he stayed sitting. He was comfortable that way. He motioned towards the couch opposite him, "Take a seat. It's no fun standing." He flashed a smile to her two companions, turning the smile on her a second later. "Not brave enough to come alone?" "So.." Kage was getting a little fidgety, it wasn't a comfortable situation to be in. The prince decided to test out one of his abilities on the nearest target.. of course not the princess, that wouldn't end well. This might not either. It's merely dim.. it won't have the full effect. Kage thought, beginning to tamper with Tarron's emotions. Kage was aiming for a bit of unease, nothing super bad.

Ruina remained still as he looked her up and down, she was used to being examined so it didn't bother her. And did it bug her that he didn't stand to greet her? Nope. It did bug Einarr however, which could be told by a small flash of emotion flying through the guard's eyes. Though Einarr was quick to conceal it, it wasn't his place to say anything. It was only his place to protect.
Ruina hesitates, before moving towards the couches, taking a seat. Tarron followed a few seconds later, sitting on the right on her. While Einarr simply moved behind the couch, standing so he could see the doors and whatever threat could possibly enter.
Grey eyes flicker to Einarr, then Tarron, and back to Kage. "Einarr won't leave my side, even if I ordered him to, and Tarron just tagged along." A small smile flickers across her lips. "Trust me. I would have come alone if I could have."
Tarron felt the prince's abilities dance around him, as if trying to affect him without making too much of a scene. But, Tarron was not easily manipulated with his emotions and simply blinks. The only one that would be greatly influenced by emotion change would be Thaola, who tended to wear her emotions a little more than others. Ruina continues,"I can, however, make Tarron leave and make Einarr go to the other side of the room if it makes you more comfortable."

"I'm not bothered by them. It's just a bit odd to have strangers surrounding me. I usually stay within a tight circle of friends." Kage shrugged. He withdrew his magic, using it instead to dim the lights even further. You'd notice, if you're observant enough, that the lights only dimmed and flickered slightly. ♣︎ Kage was trying not to make it seem like he was using his abilities too much but he felt like the lights were too bright. It wasn't bright, but in Viorela there wasn't any such thing as daytime so Kage was free to roam and let his magic loose when he wanted to. ♣︎ "So, Firestarter.. I assume you know something about the situation we're in?" Kage was focusing on the princess, ignoring the other two in the room. It may seem rude... Kage didn't care. This was supposed to be a meeting involving only the princess and himself, at least, that was what Mother and Father had told him. Likely, these were last minute things. Very last minute.
♣︎ "I haven't been informed about anything, as far as I know.. this is a horrible joke. The Queen and King need to learn what a proper joke is. They attempted to play into it by telling me there was some sort of danger as well, but there wasn't any details and Eskya never gets attacked by 'a giant danger', just small enemies, so I really just think this is a badly put together joke."

Ruina tips her head, studying Kage, before she looks at Tarron. Tarron was already halfway to his feet,"I'll go wake Thaola, we'll go find breakfast." Ruina nods,"Thank you." Einarr moves to follow, which earns him a surprised glance. Einarr sighs,"He's your betrothed, I'm gonna have to learn to trust him alone with you." Ruina simply nods as she watches the two leave the room.
Ruina turns her attention back on Kage,"Yeah I do. Just a little." She hadn't been told exactly what she could and what she couldn't say, and she had just assumed that the prince had already been informed. So that made this just a little difficult. And of course, she'd already sent her guard out, who probably could have told her exactly what she could or couldn't say to the shadow prince. Now she was left guessing.
Ruina scoffs,"Yeah, that's what I originally thought." Then she decided, oh why not tell him. If they were supposed to get married to stop this threat, it's only fair that he knew about the threat. "It's a Necromancer." Ruina answers, her eyes flashing sideways at Kage briefly. "My brother and our army came face to face with them at the border. The, um, living dead." She herself hadn't seen any of the living dead, so in all honestly, this could be indeed just a lie to get the two to marry.

Kage rolled his eyes. "Another one? Surely whoever it is could've been taken down within a matter of minutes." Kage had encountered many necromancers before, none that had gotten very far in their goals but still quite a bit of them. He couldn't imagine how they could have let one roam free. Necromancers weren't a regular occurence. They happened most often around darker magic users such as himself because.. obviously dark magic attracts more dark magic. They were not the same at all, but they did bump into each other. "They use up enough energy to tire themselves out, it's probably just part of the joke." He moved the shadows over the couch, disappearing into them momentarily. He popped up again on the opposite side of the couch Ruina was sitting on. "On another note, I heard you all arrive yesterday." Kage smiled. "Did you go exploring?" He was hinting at the idea that the princess may have wandered the castle, finding more information about the Dells. Maybe it isn't likely, but you never know. Best to ask either way. He looked at her expectantly, with no hint of a threat. Just a calm smile. (sorry it's very short ^^")

Ruina lifts her shoulder in a shrug. Kheoles had never faced a Necromancer before. They knew of them and their dark magic, but had never had one target them. "Maybe this one is different." She muses,"After all, this one seems powerful." Not that she had been allowed very much information about the Necromancer. Such as, how many living dead she or he had managed to bring to life to battle Kheolian forces. Or why it had made Kheoles and Eskya forge a marriage between their nations.
Necromancers had been taught as one of the lessons Ruina and Revalor had been taught. In fact, Ruina probably could compare them to umbrakinetic users. Obviously, umbrakinetic users didn't typically use their magic for harm. But still, there were a few similarities.
Ruina simply blinks as Kage disappears, into the shadows, before reappearing on the other side of the couch. She turns to look at Kage, raising an eyebrow. "We arrived late last night. I went straight to bed." Ruina holds Kage's gaze steadily. She couldn't speak for the rest of her party. After everything had been unloaded, Ruina had retreated to bed. Einarr, had remained at her door. While Thaola and Tarron had headed in the direction of their rooms. The royal guard had been split up to guard the three rooms. With one going to sleep before rotating through shifts. She herself had not explored, but she couldn't speak for the rest of her party. Not that she would tell the prince if they had.
(No problem^^)

"Hm." Kage studied her for a moment before deciding what she told him was the truth. "Good. What do you think of Eskya? I'm assuming you haven't seen too much of it but you should have an opinion of the small bit you've seen." Kage switched subjects quickly, if she was telling the truth like it seemed, that's great. If she was lying, oh well. It could be dealt with later at some point. Ellora had told him that he had to stay here for at the very least an hour to get to know her. Seemed like an odd way to go about it, trapping two people together in a room, but nothing about royalty made sense to Kage. "Have you met the princesses? They tend to cause trouble. They were asking about you as soon as they heard we were getting a visitor. The people you've brought along with you possibly scared them off before they got the courage to come pester you, though."

What did she think of Eskya? It was pretty, Ruina could admit. But, of course, Ruina thought Kheoles was prettier, but that was a bias opinion. Though Ruina had not spent a whole lot of time observing the nation. As soon as they had entered Eskya, Ruina had went from leading the party to being stuck right in the middle of it. Which, she supposed was better than being stuck inside the carriage, like Einarr had wanted. But still, she had liked being in the front, it let her see her surroundings easily.
"Eskya is pretty. What I've seen of it." Ruina answers, crossing her left leg over her right, which caused the slit to open and reveal her bare leg. Ruina interlaces her fingers and lays them on her left leg. This was quite the odd conversation. They had gone from discussing the threat to what Ruina thought about Eskya. Although, she supposed it was one way to get to know each other. That way they weren't marrying complete strangers.
Ruina shakes her head,"No. I have not." She hadn't really met any Eskya folks. Only the guards who'd escorted her to her room and to the ballroom, and Kage. Ruina had not even met the King and Queen of Eskya. Much less their princesses.

"It's for the best." Kage stood. "They didn't inherit the same abilities as I did, so you don't have to worry about anything more than words." He made his way back over to his first spot on the opposite couch. "So, Firestarter, do you breathe flames or was that just a myth?" Kage extended his senses through the shadows of the castle, listening in on conversations from Ruina's companions as well as the current conversation he was in with the princess. This was his first time using this specific ability in about a year, it hadn't been needed much, so he was a bit rusty. He paid most of his attention to Ruina, just to keep out of looking odd in case he got lost in conversations he was overhearing in other parts of the castle. I wonder if her companions left her here the entire time, or will they come back? There was a third that failed to join them, right? Maybe they'll convince the third to join in. Kage was ready to question the princess more about her abilities. He didn't know much about pyrokinetic users and since he wasn't sure where to go with conversations.. maybe this would be a good thing to talk about? Maybe not.. he was second guessing himself now. Was it a bad idea? Was it too personal? He never cared if people pestered him about his abilities, but he also didn't know how the people of Kheoles socialized. Fire isn't delicate, it should be a fine question.

Ruina was the youngest, so she didn't know much about having younger siblings. Sure, she and Revalor were twins, but she was still technically the youngest by twelve minutes. Besides that, they actually did look like twins. Identical twins, if Ruina chopped her hair the same length of Revalor's. No one would be able to tell the difference between the two.
Ruina uncrosses her legs, man it was hard to get comfortable in a dress. A small grin playing across her face at his question. Did she breath fire? Did he use the shadows to slip from place to place? Of course she could breath fire. It was one of her favorite things to use in a mission. It kept the odds even when she was outnumbered. She'd breath fire, like a dragon, and it would keep her enemies at bay.
"Yes, I do." She raises an eyebrow,"Why? You'd like a demonstration?" Although Ruina liked her abilities, she was never really one to show them off. Although, if Kage wished, she could demonstrate a few of her pyrokinetic abilities. In exchange that he demonstrate some of his umbrakinetic abilities. After all, she'd never seen a shadow wielder before. It would be quite interesting. She'd only seen other elementalists at work. The hydrokentics at the docks, using their abilities to keep ships from crashing into the docks during a particular high tide.
Or aerokentics when they boosted themselves through the air to check on the castle's extierior and make sure that nothing was damaged. Then there were the geokentics that often came through to help with the crop fields. Sifting the soil to be fresh and ready for new produce. Never before had she seen any other type of abilities but elemental ones. It was intriguing.
