I was hesitant at first, "Hello,' i said "I'm Melinoe, but the crows call me Nyx," I said shifting back and forth, my ears starting to rotate again. The crows started to land next to me, and in front of me cawing at me and saying random things. "wait, NO! do not drink out of the lava spring!" I told one of them frantically I was no focused on the crows trying to put down their idiotic ideas. |

The other finally spoke, and her voice sounded... actually kinda good. "That's a nice name! May I call you Nyx too?" They tilted their head slightly as the crows started to land by the other, but then was further intrigued by Melinoe speaking to the cawing crows. "You can speak to them?" They asked, genuinely curious. |

I was startled, I completely forgot there was another being. The crows get loud sometimes, preventing me from hearing the outside world. "Yes, it comes with my many faults. I have few upsides, mostly downsides." I didn't want to tell the wolf I have something to do with the goddess of death right away. |

Aura nodded, though they still felt off, as the feeling from before was still there. "Well, I can also talk to animals. It's due to my powers, which are aura-based." They were fascinated by everything that was happening. "They're like your companions, aren't they?" |

“Only Baladin stays we me the entire time,” I say motioning to the crow on my wing. “He is my companion, the rest just come and go as I travel,” I said getting more uncomfortable. The grass swayed in the awkward silence, I felt my tail hit the blades. I was tempted to run, but I wasn’t so sure about it. |

They nodded again, noting the crow. "I have a companion too. Her name's Foxy. She's a Winged Kitsune." Then, noticing that the other was getting even more uncomfortable, Aura tilted their head. "Is something wrong? Am I making you uncomfortable?" |

"Not really, just not used to talking with others. I am a loner after all, and this is dragon territory. I'm kinda worried the dragon might come along, I kinda live here with a purpose to the dragon. We have a symbiotic relationship, meaning we benefit each other in a way." I said "But if the dragon sees you, your life is at risk right now. I don't want to get involved in that. |

"At risk? How so?" Aura was confused. Why would some other creature want to harm them? Then there was also the fact that Melinoe had a symbiotic relationshipm with the dragon. That was interesting... |

"At a risk of death," I said "My aura keeps most humans and other beings away unless they are looking for the dragon. The dragon doesn't exactly like anyone, but he tolerates me because I benefit him and he rarely notices me. I just recommend you don't go farther into the first it will get darker and the trees will start to look more dead, that's how you know you are getting way too close. He lives in the ruins of an old castle, the humans call it 'castle black'." |
