Luna stiffened up when she heard another. The wolf had been downwind, making it impossible for her to catch the scent. Slowly she looked up to see who it was, somewhat disappointed it wasnt a packmate, but grateful at the same time. The white coated female slowly started to stand up, not wanting to look weak. "I was hunting with my pack, and the elk decided it had other plans and threw me" she stated. She wasnt going to lie when she knew it would only get her in trouble. She winced when she felt the pain in her shoulder once again. Luna could tell by the faint scent coming from the male, he was either part of the pack here, or a high rank with the way he held himself. Her blue eyes watched the male for any sign he was going to attack. She knew she wouldnt win in a fight with her shoulder injured, though if she wasnt hurt, she might have a chance if she could find a weakness.

So thats why the Elk was startled he thought he looked into her blue eyes and saw hope. "Well I will introduce myself" said Hondo formally and in a kind of dominant tone "I am Hondo, the Alpha of the Eastern Mountain Pack." He lowered his hackles. When she got up he saw her shoulder was injured. That Elk got her good. He got up and shook himself. He looked behind him to see if anything was creeping up behind him. Nothing thought Hondo relieved. "Here let me come down the cliff and help you out." He smiled when he said this. He started down the cliff toward the injured wolf.

Luna took a protective stance. *Great* she thought. *Well, I guessed right.* She was hesitant to tell him who she was, and for good reason. She was still a fairly new alpha, but another alpha none the less. "My name is Luna, Alpha to Rivercrest pack." She stepped back when he started to make his way down the cliff, keeping her guard up. *Not much I can do if he decides to attack* she thought. She couldnt run, nor could she defend herself in a fight. Luna braced herself for the worst, though silently hoped it wouldnt come to that.

Hondo trotted slowly down the cliff, trying to look as unharmful as he could. He didnt want her to think he was going to hurt her. After she told him that she was the Alpha of her pack he was in shock. Soon he was at the bottom. It was a little sandy with some of it sticking to his paw pads, but he didnt care. He walked slowly over to her trying to seem unthreatning. He dipped his head slowly so it was a little lower than hers. He wanted to keep his dignity but also be respectful. His gaze shifted upwards to meet her blue eyes. "I am here to help you not harm you," he said "As long as you promise that your pack may not hurt mine and my pack will not harm you." He put his head higher than hers. "Here lean on me and I'll help you up the slope." He moved to her side, waiting for her to lean on him.

Luna barely glanced at Hondo when he mentioned his pack won't hurt her or her pack if hers didn't attack his. "They know better than to cross the boarder, even if it means leaving me to make it back on my own" she told him. While she didn't like being so open with him, she knew it was best to be honest rather than risk a fight. "My pack would only attack if they heard me getting attacked." It was clear she was still hesitant to trust Hondo, but she did lean on him, wincing slightly.

"Thats ok, I just want to make sure this..." He paused, "Seemed like a threat." She leaned harder on him, he could tell she was in pain. He nudged her slowly with his head. "Lets go up this way," he said, turning towards the other direction. "It may be longer but the slope is not as steep." He turned back to look at her and saw she was really in pain. He could tell her shoulder was sprained real bad, if not broken. He kind of felt sorry for her. As they walked toward the slope he hoped nothing would come and get them.

Luna didn't agree to the longer walk up the slope, but she knew even with help she wouldn't make it up the cliff. "Thank you" she said. She felt her steps stagger a bit as she moved. Once she got up the small cliff, she wasn't sure she could make it to the pack without a few stops along the way, and with that, she wasn't sure if a patrol would stop her and attack. While she wasn't sure a patrol would actually do anything, there was that risk.

Her steps started to stagger and Hondo struggled helping her up the cliff. After a couple tries though he finnaly got him and Luna up the cliff. He turned and looked both ways. He stopped and pricked up his ears, to try to hear danger. But suddenly the wind picked up and started blowing wildy. A scent drifted towards him. He knew this scent all to well. It was a bear's and by the way it smelled it seemed angry. He turned to Luna "I think we need to stop and hide." He turned tpwards the scent. He was very vulnerable right now with the injured wolf. But he was going to protect her even if its the last thing he does.

Luna gave a low growl at the new scent. She hadnt smelled it before, but she could tell it was a dangerous smell. When Hondo said it was a bear, she bared her teeth. Luna hadnt seen a bear, but she heard stories of how they were dangerous, making it hard for even a full pack to take down or chase off. "Where would we hide" she asked. It wasnt her territory, and she knew of nowhere they could hide.

"I know of a patrol den nearby where none of My wolves are currently patrolling. Its underground so we'll hide there." They went in the direction of the den. Hondo looked back it hadn't come out of hiding yet so they should be good. They were almost to the den when the bear stormed out in rage. "Hurry! In the den!" As she limped towards it. Hondo turned back to face the bear
