Amber sat up "ok..."

"Well your first job is to learn how to be a cave guard. So follow me." Hondo led Amber to another wolf. "Sneaker, this is Amber, Amber this is Sneaker." He turned and looked at Amber. "Sneaker will teach you everything about Patrolling and Guarding. I am going hunting so I'll be back". Hondo turned howled for his hunters and bounded through the bushes with the hunters at his heels.

"H-hi" Amber said to the big wolf he was tan with deep brown paws.

"Well I am Sneaker and I am going to teach you everything I know about both Guarding and Patrolling." Said Sneaker in a friendly voice. "Are you ready?"

"Ok, I am" Amber said relaxing a little "how are we going to start?"

"Well I cant teach you how to guard if you dont know the territory." Sneaker laughed. "Follow me to the camp."

Amber bounced after him "ok!"

Sneaker led Amber to a huge den. "This is the pack den, at night you and me will take turns guarding." He looked into her eyes, almost with sadness. "But you won't sleep here." He sighed, and padded over to a makeshift den dug deep in the ground. It was very muddy from the rain. "You'll sleep .... In there". He sounded disgusted. "But anyway, let me show you the rest of our territory." He started to pad away, but turned back. Amber was frozen staring into the hole. "Come on!" He barked playfully "Lets get this tour dine so I can get to some real teaching." She came to him at last and then they padded off for the edge of their territory.

Amber bounced after him "ok!" They started walking around in the forest
