Kayo heard the splash of paws on the ground. She scanned the woods, trying to smell out the culprit through the strong rain smell. She noticed a figure, small, black, with glowing eyes. It had what appeared to be floating snakes following it. She looked closer and realized they were tails. 9 of them. One of my kind! She resisted the urge to run forth, as it could be an enemy. But she smelled no enemy trace. Her light purple eyes glowed as she ran to the small kitsune. "Hey, do you need help? I've never seen you before. Are you lost?"

she squeaked, spooked, and her eyes narrowed then she realised, it was another kitsune. "im ok, thank you for asking. well i am a little lost, can you tell me where the scorched tree is?" (a tree that was hit by lightning)

Kayo jumped back a little bit when the smaller kitsune squeaked. "Oh, the scorched tree is a little bit past the river that flows towards the big lake." Kayo paused a bit, churning the scene in her mind. A small kitsune, most likely a child by the looks of it. But why is it alone? "Hey, don't you have a family? Wouldn't your mom or dad be here with you?"

her ears flattened and she narrowed her eyes. "ill be going now. thank you for the help" she then trotted towards the big lake still having an angry look on her face

Kayo retreated into the brush. Why had the little kitsune showed aggression when she asked about her family? This was too strange. She pretended to run away back to her den, but when she was out of sight of the other kitsune, she began after the kitsune, following the same route to the river, to the scorched tree, and to wherever the kitsune was going. Carefully watching where she stepped, she followed the kitsune going by scent rather than by sight. She looked up to make sure she could see the river, when she stepped on a dry twig. The crack was small, but it sounded like it had just exploded under her nimble paws.

she pricked her ears but did nothing. she kept going on past the scorched tree and past the fishermans house. she then dissapeared into a cave behind the house. sighing she kept going ignoring every cut every scrape and even every pepple wedged between her paw pads

Kayo saw the kitsune disappear into a cave behind a fisherman's house. She didn't want to seem like she was intruding or being creepy, so she hid under the fisherman's house where there was a hole dug by something. Perhaps a fox. Whatever it was, she smelled no smells of other animals, so she ducked inside right as the fisherman's door opened.

Kayo peaked her head out. "So, that's how she gets food..." she whispered to herself.
