Aldwin smiled at Gwendolyn thankfully. "Oh yes, the castle is nice. The grounds themselves are much better though, as are the hunting trails." His auburn hair shone brown, red and blonde in the light of the sun. His blue eyes soft and welcoming.

This brought a smile to Gwendolyn's face - a real and true one, "I do enjoy nature. Hopefully I will be able to see them." Lightly dusting off her skirts, Gwendolyn coughed, "Would I be able to clean off? I apologize for cutting this short, but..." She trailed off, eyeing the plumes of dirt that had come off and were settling through the air.

Aldwin finally noticed the dust coming off Gwendolyn and nodded immediately. "Oh my, I am so sorry. I was being rude. I should have offered to take you to your room sooner. Again, I am so sorry." Aldwin was so horribly stupid, how in the world was he able to forget his manners? "I will lead you to your room then." He smiled softly and then began leading Gwendolyn to her new room.

Gwendolyn was quick to speak, "It is not your fault. I made no move to address it earlier. The fault is on no one - and thank you for taking me to my rooms." Gwendolyn followed Aldwin through the halls, lagging behind at times when something caught her eye.

Aldwin showed Gwendolyn through the halls. Pointing out the important things like the dining hall, library, garden, exit to the stables and of course, her room.

Gwendolyn looked into her room, taking in the bed that was already there, two chairs, and a tapestry depicting a scene from an old fairy tale. The room was large, and there was a bear skin covering a door, "Is that your room?"

Aldwin nodded, his ears turning a bit pink. "Yes, that is my room. The door is locked in here so I won't be coming in any time soon. Not that I would do that anyways, it's an invasion of your privacy and I would never want to do that!" Aldwin was stupid.

Gwendolyn stifled her giggles, "I understand - It is all good! It's how rooms are designed, and it is the way things work. It is not your fault..." She stepped inside and surveyed the room, "This will work perfectly. Thank you." She eyed Aldwin, "I am your first wife, correct? Forgive me if this is too far, but you seem... quite flustered."

Aldwin's ears turned a deeper red and he looked anywhere but Gwendolyn. He wasn't good with women at all. Unfortunately, he wasn't ever skilled in the art of charming people. He just spoke what he thought they wanted to hear and that was that. But Gwendolyn was different. She didn't give off that sort of aura and it scared him. "Oh-uh well yes. First anything really, I've been way to busy to give any thought to things such as marriage. This was quite the surprise. A-anyways, is there anything you need? I can ask a maid to go run an errand and get it for you." Aldwin tried to slide the conversation in a different direction, his pink ears slowly going back to their normal coloring.

Gwendolyn quirked up one eyebrow, but didn't say anything else about the subject, "It is good. I only had two trunks of stuff, which I believe are being brought up. Where can I go for a bath, though?" Gwendolyn opened up the vanity, and saw there was nothing in there. She silently thanked one of her old maids for packing a few extra clothes. Nothing fancy, but something to where she wouldn't have to change back into the dusty ones.
