Dakota gently crouched a little so he could be face to face with the smaller panda. "It is a pleasure to meet you Dava. Thank you for your help, I am sure I will need it in such a big place." He huffed softly, looking up as the princess approached. The huge bear was practically as big as the princess herself. His eyes intelligent and kind, a dog like smile on his face. "It's an honor to meet both of you. I will not touch you if you so wish princess. I know my form is quite intimidating so I completely understand if you do not wish to see me. I can return to my charm if you wish." Ekon watched with a calm expression, nodding to Dakota's words. His last charge had screamed when first seeing Dakota and had commanded Ekon to never show the huge bear's face in their presence. Truthfully, it had hurt Dakota, after all, who would like being told to go away? Hunting had become a night time only thing for Dakota after the last charge, as to not scare anyone away. Ekon was hurt too by this, the friends were close and not being able to have Dakota's constant form beside him had left him aching and sad.

Dava translated for Anasuri, and the princess had to smile, "Don't worry. Many people have me put Dava away. I wouldn't do that to anyone." There was only a slight hesitation as Anasuri stepped forward and lightly brushed the bears face with her fingertips. "No one can tell you to hide away," She murmured, "Since you are my protectors. Do not worry about it." Dava was pleased by this. She had faith in her friend, and Anasuri did not fail her.

Ekon had yet to move, as he wasn't really allowed to unless told by his charge. Friends had certain privileges as they were also animals. They still needed to do animal things and meet people calmly. Ekon wasn't supposed to be moving but he was looking around the hall with subtle interest. His eyes had settled in a deep brown with random splats of bright gold. Ekon's head was still supposed to be lowered till Princess Anasuri told him otherwise but the hall was just so interesting. There were big paintings on the walls that really interested him. One had so many colors and shapes that he just couldn't stop looking at it. As an artist himself, he was very interested in all the art the palace had to offer. He'd have to explore later, perhaps when everyone was at dinner. Unless Anasuri told him to go to the dinner. In which case, he would have to go. He also still had to get new canvases and feed the children in town. All of which he would have to find time to do.

Anasuri looked over at Ekon, and huffed under her breath, "At ease." Those words told the knight that he could move around, and speak as he wished. She didn't want a still shadow - he was a person, after all. Dava, with the go-ahead from Anasuri, shuffled over to Ekon. She gave off a bright bear-grin, and twitched her ears in hello. To Dakota, Dava requested he tell his friend she said hello.

Dakota eagerly translated. Wanting to hopefully get Dava as his own friend, the huge bear hardly ever met any other bear, this was actually his first time meeting a panda and the two had traveled the country so pandas must be rare. Ekon was supposed to be cool towards others but he supposed a smile wouldn't hurt. So he smiled, "it is nice to meet you Dava. I looks forwards to serving you and Princess Anasuri." His smile gently faded but he didn't look unkind or particularly cool. Just content. His lavender hand reached out towards Dava. Not petting her just yet but letting her sniff. As immediately touching Dava might be seen as rude or brash. Dakota watched the interaction kindly. His eyes watching Ekon's orbs as they began to switch between dark brown and hazel.

Dava immediately pushed her furry head under Ekon's hand, "We are all friends. Would Dakota like to see your hunting grounds? Anasuri will show Ekon where their chambers are."Anasuri was silent through all of this. Dava had never liked her old knight - said he felt off - so perhaps this one wouldn't readily attempt to kill her. That would be a nice change of pace.

Ekon listened to Dakota as he translated. Finally nodding, "sounds great to me. Dakota?" The huge bear nodded, standing up as he had sat after feeling to lazy to stand up for much longer. "Okay, see you soon then Koda." The beat gently nuzzled Ekon's hand and pulled his sleeve down. A firm reminder to always keep his arm covered. Then he skipped over to Dava, deciding that he would be friend with her. Ekon smirked as his friend interested with Dava. Dakota was just a baby in the form of a huge bear. Finally, he walked over to the Princess, his expression light and calm. As close to emotionless he could get. He just didn't want to be so cold to his new charge.

Dava huffed, but it was all good natured. She showed Dakota how to get outside, and began to give him the important tour - not the stuffy palace - with a gentle, but firm, ask to not knock down the bamboo growing in a nearby garden. Bamboo did not naturally grow in this area, so there was a limited amount.
Anasuri pursed her lips together, and turned around, setting a brisk pace. She may be small, but her strides were quick. "So," Anasuri began, "Your chambers connect to mine, but you do have your own bathroom and enough space. If you had any bags, they should have been brought up. We are expected to show up for dinner tonight, so I will need to inform you on what to expect." Her tone was short and clipped, but not mean, more... indifferent... than anything. Although her initial fear was calmed slightly by Dava trusting Ekon, she would not be trusting the new knight any time soon.

Dakota listened to Dava easily. He wouldn't even be going into the garden, let alone anywhere near the bamboo after what Dava said. He didn't want his new friend to starve. It was odd, seeing another bear eat a plant but it was how pandas were Dakota believed. Although they were part of the same family they had different choices in the food department. That was cool though, gave him less of a competition for the meat in the area. Though he still had to compete with other friends, real animals, and humans who hunted.
Ekon stayed quiet, just taking it all in. His hand nervously messed with his metal bracelets. Although his face didn't show it, he was nervous for this new charge. He was already expected to do better than the last traitor and they had set even higher standards for the talented elf. There were many eyes watching him, to see if he messed this up. And if he did too good, he'd be sent out to the war effort that was forming against the other elves. Which was something Ekon didn't want to do. Every single way this went ended badly for him. And Princess Anasuri obviously didn't trust him. Though, who would after their last guard betrayed them? "Okay, I was worried about going to dinner...not for any particular reason of course! It is my duty of course to protect you. So if that's where I have to go then I will." Ekon had did an oopsie. He hadn't wanted to go to dinner. He'd wanted to go to town and get stuff and feed the orphans he knew were there. That wasn't going to be possible. And now he had made himself look bad by almost saying these things.

Anasuri gave Ekon a sidelong glance over her shoulder, "Expect frequent visits to the town, and other nearby cities, as my protector." As they turned a corner, there was a giant flight of stairs, where Anasuri took three at a time. Arriving at her room, Anasuri pointed down the hall, "That is the door to your chambers, though ours also connect. The keys should be on the bed." She opened the door and stepped inside, where they were instantly greeted with a herbal smell.
