Just as Zeus got up to walk away she spoke, "Zeus. Why did you kill his brother?" She asked, her voice quiet as she waited for an answer that she wasn't sure she wanted to hear.

He turned his head towards Imani. Did she think he was a murderer? "He was the male who I fought when you escaped, I didnt mean to kill him, it just... happened." He said, hoping she'd believe him, "He was trying to get to you, and I stopped him." He finished. He could still see the sadness in her eyes, and part of him wondered if he cause that.

Imani didn't respond as she looked back down at the water. She knew he was just defending himself and her but that couldn't keep the unwanted thoughts from drifting into her mind. Her heart shattered when she heard him walk away.

Now not only was she mad at him, for something he didnt know about, niw she thought he was a murderer. Maybe joining this Pride was a bad move. Maybe he should leave and become a liner again, then maybe Imani would be happy. He shook his mane, his anger seepung through his veins. What had he done wrong? He growled at himself and unleashed the loudest and most powerful roar that he'd ever done. It lasted about 20 seconds, before he let it seep to a close, the border Patrol had gonr far along, and there was no point in following. He went and sat by a nearby tree, and he looked towards the first place they'd met. Wishing those times could still be here.

Imani heard a loud, angry roar sound in the clearing. She immediately knew who it belonged too. She felt slightly guilty in the moment, but the feeling vanished soon when the same words kept repeating in her head. You're in no condition to fight. Kalemari is dead. Over and over and over. "Why did you kill his brother?" The voice in his head said, as he sat vy the tree. He did what he had to do. The wirld isnt a good place, and yet, he had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. Then a memory that he'd forgotten about came back to him. Your in no condition to fight thats wht she'd been so angry at him. The sterness in his voice had angered her, he'd made her feel weak. And Imani never felt weak. Then a new thought entered his mind. If he left, Imani would never feel pain at the sight of him. She would probably be happy. Everything that had meaning to it that he'd done, was for her. And Zeus didnt plan on stopping now. Would she be happy if he left? He knew the Queen, and most of the Pride members would. But if he left, hiw would Imani feel? So the former rogue rose to his paws, and headed towards camp. Going to say his last goodbye.

Imani sat by the water's edge, feeling like she was drowning within her own pelt. All of her feelings overwhelmed her to the point she felt like she was going to explode. The weight in her chest and the lump in her throat became unbearable as her eyes welled with tears. She lifted her head, looking for the one lion who made her feel safe. She saw him walking towards her, and without another thought, she broke off in a run towards him, burying her head in her mane as she started to cry.

Zeus was shocked at her reaction to seeing him. She'd been so angry with him before, and now she was in tears at the sight of him. She buried her head in his mane, and he longed to be close with her again, but he knew she'd never forgive him. Clearly she thought of him as a murderer, and a liar, so why bother. "I've decided to leave the Pride." He said, nit looking down at her, looking straifht towards the horizon in front of him. Anger building in his chest, but he also felt a rise of guilt. But he buried that feeling. His brown eyes flickered to the Queen's den, before blankly staring above Imani, not bearing to meet her gaze.

Imani lifted her head, her whole world seeming to stop spinning. "What?" Her voice was hoarse as she looked into his eyes. "Zeus you can't! I'll be all by myself again. Kalemari is dead now, I can't loose you too. I know I was over reacting with the rouges and I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. I'll do anything to make you stay, just please don't go." Her voice quieted to a whisper as the tears flowed freely from her eyes. If he left... she had no reason to stay here.

His heart surged when she heard her words, and he could see the tears in her eyes. He looked down and met her gaze, seeing the tears flowing. "Imani," he wanted to comfort her, but he couldnt bring himself to do it. "In your tone, I felt that you thought I was a murderer." He said it so sincerely, that it showed in his voice. He wanted to stay, be with Imani. But he couldnt stay here if anyone, especially Imani, thought he was a murderer.
