Well I uhm, literally don't. Wait. So what if Rhys actually gets a damn job, and of course the other gang finds him and Ian is like someone please stab me I'm so tired of having to kill these people but he goes anyways with the other members of his gang. And Rhys just has to uncomfortably go through Ian about to actually stab his own members because they keep asking questions about Flower Boy and Killian just wants to go to sleep. Yea that's all I have.

Rhys hated retail jobs, or anything that dealt with customer service. He had been a check out clerk and bagger at a grocery store before, and Rhys had thought it was the definition of hell. Now, Rhys thought ruefully, he found the true hell. Working at a Macy's. He didn't know anything about clothes or perfume or anything that Macy's sold - he didn't even know what Macy's sold, to be honest. The Karens would be the death of him, Rhys swore on his second day on the job, and now, almost a week later, that statement had not changed. It had been about two weeks since Ian came to visit and passed out on his couch, and so far, things had been peaceful. Rhys minded his own business, kept his head down, didn't yell at the Karens - everything was going swimmingly - except for the part about working at the stupid retail store.

Things had not been going well for Killian, though that was to be expected when you were the leader of a gang. Granted, Ian hadn't signed up to spend most of his waking hours fighting and passing out. He still had his job, somehow, but even there he was on rocky ground, and he was positive that any day now the other gang would discovered where he worked and attack him there. Then he'd really lose his job. This new gang really couldn't give it a rest, and didn't follow any of the common street laws that every gang respected even though said 'laws' were never spoken aloud. They attacked unprovoked, raided jobs and homes, and weren't afraid to use family members to threaten someone. They were horrible, vile people, much worse than his own gang, and Ian despised them for it. As the weeks passed, Ian was out more and more, and as soon as he got home, would pass out for hours. He hadn't used his powers so much for a very long time, and it was much, much worse than he remembered. The last thing Ian expected two days after the worst fight, with great losses on both sides, was for the gang to fight again, unfortunately he was wrong. Not that he knew it yet, as the opposing gang was being sneaky, and was targeting someone they'd seen with Ian multiple times, someone that seemed pretty important to the fearsome leader of Bleeding Streets. Which, of course, was not quite true but they didn't know that. So as the two men approached the unguarded Macy's, they believed themselves to be pretty damn lucky. Now, they just had to find the guy, and get him out of there.

Now, Rhys wasn't stupid. It may not seem like it at times, but Rhys had decent intuition, and did in fact have a sense of self preservation. At the same time, though, really odd and eccentric people were always walking into Macy's, or other stores. It was just part of the job that had to be accepted. Sometimes they were really cool, like the one girl who came in on 5 inch platforms and the coolest makeup ever and showed Rhys her spider tattoo, and sometimes they are on the wrong side of weird. Rhys would rather not think about those times. So, when two random people walked into Macy's looking kinda odd and shady, Rhys just shrugged and went back to hanging up the clothes that had been left in the changing rooms. He should probably watch to make sure they didn't steal anything, but Rhys didn't want to judge a book by the cover, and also was a firm believer that borrowing from large chain stores was absolutely fine. Macy's pockets wouldn't be hurting.

The two men looked around, and whispered amongst each other in hushed breaths. The words were hardly heard by anyone in the general area, but a bit could be understood as one pulled out a phone and gestured at the photo. The photo was, of course, of Rhys, though the men themselves didn't actually know his name, they were just under orders to find him and bring him back to headquarters. After thoroughly looking at the picture, they seperated and began to look for him. Soon enough they had found him, and slowly, but surely, began to creep closer, one of them used his tech powers to turn off selective cameras. This was too easy.

Rhys, who had the tact of a frog, finally turned towards the closer of the two men, "Uhm. Hi there. Do you need help locating anything in the store? And please," he turned toward the other person, "Don't creep up on people - or you can at least just come up to me. I don't bite." The hair on the back of his neck and arms were on end. Something felt off here, and Rhys subtly sent out a "Help Needed" alert on the company walkie talkies. Maybe they were fine, but also maybe it would be nice to have giant Jerome standing beside him while dealing with these two fellows.

The men immediately straightened, and stopped looking so creepy. They hadn't realized that the man was actually paying attention, they'd been told that he was basically oblivious that he was in any kind of real danger. Granted, he had yet to return to his apartment, so he wasn't that dumb. While one of the men stood there, dumbfounded, the other immediately made up a lie. "Oh yea, sorry about that dude, we just couldn't figure out if you were actually an employee or not. We're looking for the shoe section, it's our first time coming here and we don't really know where anything is." The man plastered a charming smile on his face, while the other one nodded along, effectively looking very confused.

Rhys nodded slowly, ang gestured towards his all-black outfit, "Most workers will be wearing all black. And have a walkie-talkie set as well - just for future reference. But the shoe section is on the back, right side of the store." Rhys walked out into the main walkway and pointed down towards the back of the store, "You can just walk down there. It's pretty big, and you can also see the sign from here for the Shoe Department." Rhys turned to give his best 'I Am A Hardworking Employee And I Am Here To Help' face, and asked, "Will that be all?"
