"He is probably mad at me, but I'm afraid if I apologize to approach him he may get violent." I said "I killed his alpha. She got too close to me and Nightmare's Nest, and my instincts kicked in. She is heavily pregnant with eggs, so she is not in any position to be anywhere but the den. She struggles to stay comfortable and finds it a little hard to get up. So I didn't want to risk anything either." I sighed, glancing up at the drone that was now silent but still hovering "My and Nightmare are considered some of the smartest if not the smartest raptors in the facility, so they probably realize they made a mistake by letting us happen. There is a high chance they will try to take the eggs instead of letting us raise them. I am not about to let that happen." I said turning to Forest "He is probably mad and doesn't want to accidentally take his anger out on you, give him a little bit of time. when he does come around, tell him I'm sorry and if he would rather hear it from me he can call for me. But feel free to tell him what I told you," I said looking at the drone and walking into the trees knowing it wouldn't follow.

I listened to Zier and nodded as he walked off. If he did that to a human i cant imagine if he mistook me or Azul for a predator. I shook my head, trying not to think about it as i walked back to the cave. Once i got back Azul was gone but i figured he went to go cool down or hopefully get cleaned up. After a while i felt the same lonelyness i felt before i met Nightmare. It made me miss her even more than when Azul was with me. I cried a bit but nothing major. My life here was hard, that was for sure but it was still good. I was soon sitting on the eggs as i tryed to fall asleep. I thought about my past and the short couple days here and what had happened. I only fell asleep though when i thought about the future when Azul was happy, i was with Nightmare and our young was among us in a huge pack.

When Zier returned he lay behind me, this allowed me to lean back. It felt nice, I couldn't wait for the eggs to finish developing. Once again we lay our heads next to each other, cherishing our moment alone. I fell asleep but he stayed awake, I didn't know why.

Very early in the morning i felt Azul lay down beside me. I immediately snuggled into him and like normal he curled around me. It was nice to feel his presence once more so i fell back asleep quickly. When i woke up again though he was no where to be found. The sun had just come up so i decided to get up for to stretch my legs a bit. I decided to go down to the pond for a drink before i headed back up to the nest. I wished i couldve stayed longer but i knew the eggs needed me. I then layed back down on the eggs again as it started to lightly sprinkle. I listened to the light pat pat on the ground as i slowly fell asleep.

"Good morning Love," Zier greeted me as I slowly started to wake. He waited for me to wake up a bit more so he could move. Once I reshifted I realized I couldn't wait another day.

"Zier, love, could you please watch the entrance to the den, I don't think my body will wait another day," His eyes went wide as he got up and stood in front of the heavily covered entrance. The entrance was covered by a lot of large ferns and on the inside, there was a small wall of rocks that I had placed. I carefully got up and started the process, it wasn't painful, just tiring.

"Zier," I said calling him back in as I rested. He immediately entered

"Woah," was the first thing he said,

"There's 15," I said with a tired smile

"You did amazing," he said nuzzling me "I should probably get food, I will be right back," He trotted off and If I was being honest I was a bit worried that something would happen.

I tryed to forget about it. I really did. I even slept with Forest, hoping that would calm me down but yet the anger and sadness just burned deeper into my soul. As the sun was beginning to rise i went out again but this time not to have alone time, not to clean off or to get a drink but to find Zier. I had to atleast make him feel pain before i could ever rest my sadness and anger. As anger fueled me i went back to my alphas dead body. I quickly found Zeir's sent and followed it. When i finally caught him he was heading out of the enclosure. I knew i had to act fast so i used my training to climb up a tree quickly and quietly. As i reached the top i jumped down on Zier, tearing into his neck with my teeth. After a couple seconds he shook me off and i landed on my feet with blood on my mouth. "That pain that you feel now is what you have done to me," i said with a growl.

"Get off me!" I yelled tipping him off. "I had a reason for it, I hope you realize that, if you don't mind I'm in a bit of a rush. Run with me and I will explain myself, then I will let you decide if it's justifiable." I said quickly trying to get back on my way to get food. Hoping he would tag along.

I immediately stopped growling as Zier didnt attack me back but instead just spoke. I was very confused but decided to follow him. I wasnt used to being out of the enclosure without my alpha and it felt very freeing. All at once though my anger vanished and it was replaced with sadness and regret. I still wanted an explaination though so i kept quiet even though i wanted to beg for his forgiveness.

"I'm going to tell you what I told Forest, she was worried and saw we were both apparently covered in blood and thought we fought. But Nightmare and I are considered some of the smartest if not the smartest raptors in the facility, so they probably realize they made a mistake by letting us happen. I said taking a breath "Your alpha was trying to locate us since they knew she was developing eggs. Our den is so hidden she happened to stop right in front of it while Nightmare and I were napping yesterday. Then she started going on about the plan saying they need to try to locate our new den and take the eggs, How they are failing to keep us under control, etc. Well she couldn't find us, the drone told her to run and I destroyed the drone with hopes it wouldn't send the location of our den to the humans. Then my instinct kicked in." I said taking a sharp breath as we came to the area to retrieve food. "I knew if she left the enclosure she would tell them exactly where the den was, then they would probably tranquilize me and Nightmare, separating us, and taking the eggs," I said grabbing food and running back.

I listened to Zier and found myself feeling worse about what i did. He was just trying to protect his family like i wouldve done, except i wouldnt of killed my alpha but that was besides the point. I quickly got some food too before catching back up to Zier and speaking, "Im sorry for attacking you Zier, i was just- well you know, upset. Could you do a favor for me though? Please dont tell Forest, she would be devastated. And while your at it, if it dosent break you vow, could you not tell Nightmare. I dont want her to be mad at Forest for what ive done. Not that she will i just want to be safe. Forest looks up to Nightmare so much i would hate to ruin their relationship." After i said that i took a deap breath and entered back into the enclosure. Part of me didnt want to but i knew it was for the best. "Oh and one more thing, thanks for not fighting back. And could you ask Nightmare if theres another nesting site out of the way. I want Forest and our near future broo- i mean young to be safe and i know i cant protect her out in the open with the humans watching us 24:7."
