Her grey eyes made her stand out, she wasn't the biggest fan of them. People remembered her, because honestly there weren't very many grey eyed people out there. Especially on the streets. So to see grey eyes... Well it was different and she stuck out. People remembered her and so, she was often stuck anytime she tried to dig herself out of her hole and try and get a real job.
Did she want something more than.. this? Did she want a boyfriend? A love life? What if he found out who she was? What would he think when he learned everything there was to know about her? How she had to live on the streets. How not only her parents abandoned her, but her siblings. Would he then abandon her? She didn't know what she wanted...
"Okay." Came her soft answer, blinking slightly when he pressed a kiss against her cheek. This was the moment when she should tell him that she had to go. That she couldn't stay. But she couldn't make herself do it, because she wanted to stay. For a multitude of reasons. She could actually sleep in a comfortable bed, sleep inside. But also, she really didn't want to leave in general. Something about Silas made her feel safe. Even if he'd been the reason her dog got taken away from her.
She shivers as her hair falls down on her neck, and yet she made no move to stop Silas as he ran a hand through her hair. It felt nice... "No, no. It's okay." Sleeping in the same bed? God, she was just asking to get arrested the next morning when Silas woke up and remembered who she was.... Unless she got out before he woke up. But was she really that kind of person? The kind to just leave? Would that make her an even worse person?

With her hair down, she seemed more familiar to him but he couldn't place where exactly. He knew he had seen her before or at least somewhere. He wasn't making the connection though. She might have been in the same place at the same time as him. Grocery store maybe? Gas station? His hand continued to gently play with her hair as he thought. It was bugging him on why Rylee seemed so familiar to him. It had to be somewhere or some place recent though. He felt like he had seen her just a few days ago. His attention drifted back toward her voice and her response to them sleeping and more importantly where he was sleeping. He was surprised to hear her tell him no on moving to the couch. Maybe she was feeling the exact way that he was about her. "Oh um okay then. I guess I can stay here," Silas gave a small smile toward her,"Do you need anything?" He wanted to double check, making sure she didn't want fresh clothes or to shower or anything. He wanted her to feel comfortable, at home, even though things didn't go as planned between the two and the events of tonight.

Any second, any second and he'd recognize her. And yet, she couldn't tear herself away. For some reason she couldn't make herself leave. It would no doubt hurt Silas, and she didn't want too do that. Despite the fact she'd wanted to punch him the previous day, in that room, but now... She didn't.
He seemed surprised at her answer, hell, she was surprised by her own answer. But for some reason, for the first time in years, she didn't want to sleep alone. She really didn't want to sleep alone, she wanted Silas beside her.
She smiles slightly, before shaking her head. "No, I don't need anything. I'm good, thank you though."
She truly didn't need anything, she was okay. She was use to the bare minimum, and at the moment, she just wanted some sleep. And honestly, the idea of being in a comfortable bed was warming. Especially with Silas beside her. Edited at September 29, 2022 09:18 PM by Dagger Pack

"Oh okay then," Just double checking. He wouldn't feel right if he didn't make sure Rylee was comfortable. She didn't speak much compared to him so he didn't know what she was thinking. Maybe he was just trying way too hard. To be fair, he still felt guilty about how tonight ended. In a way, he just lead her on which didn't sit right with him at all. "As long as you're comfortable then I'm comfortable," He moved down a little to lay down, moving back so he wasn't too close. He didn't think he moved too far back but in reality, he was basically on the edge of the mattress. He wanted to give Rylee space if she desired and to be honest, he knew most women didn't trust men to keep their hands to themselves. He didn't bother changing or showering, which normally he would do. He didn't want to leave her for very long. Not because he didn't trust her. Just he felt it was rude to leave her waiting for him. "Sweet dreams, Ryles," He called her Ryles by instinct. He just liked giving people nicknames,"We'll get coffee in the morning if you would like."

As someone who wasn't use to talking to a lot of people, that was why she stayed so quiet. Not to mention, she'd never felt so comfortable with anyone. Never. So the feeling was not only new, but it was weird. Not to mention, the guy she felt comfortable with, was the one who'd landed her in jail and got her dog taken away. Why would she feel comfortable with him?"
Rylee simply smiles, not wanting to say that any bed was more comfortable then what she was use to. As Silas lays back, Rylee hesitates. What was she doing? She really should just get the hell out of there and run for it. But instead, Rylee lays back beside Silas. Not moving any closer, but not moving away either.
Ryles. That was a new one. "You as well." At his next words, Rylee hesitates. Coffee? By morning he'd be sober, and then what would happen once he realized who she was. This answer was quieter,"Sure." She didn't want to lie, but, she didn't want to stick around to find out the consequences of her actions.

Silas heard her response and gave a small smile. Getting coffee with Rylee sounded great. Maybe in the morning he would be able to identify why she seemed so familiar to him. Things were still fuzzy in his brain despite his less-slurred words and less lustful thoughts toward the woman in his bed at the very moment. When he allowed his eyes to close, he couldn't help but sigh. His mind went running through the events of today and how in the world he ended up with somebody like Rylee that didn't hate him for what he did. He still couldn't place why he didn't mention what he did for a living or how proud he was of his work. But he didn't. He drifted off into sleep with the events of today on repeat in his head. He also fell asleep imagining what tomorrow would bring to the table. Throughout the night, he slept soundly. It was probably one of the best sleep of his life. He hadn't been sleeping good because each time he tried, he would be reminded of a past case where he got injured or had been frightened. It would live in his mind like a reoccurring nightmare. Not tonight though. At one point in the night, his body moved from the edge of the bed to being pressed up against Rylee's side. Besides that and a very faint snore time to time, he remained undisturbed throughout the night.

It didn't take long for Rylee to fall asleep, mainly because she was incredibly tired and the bed was incredibly comfort. She didn't dream, which was very good for her. Nightmares were a constant thing for her, but not that night. She slept soundly and deeply all night, not waking up once throughout the night.
(Sorry this is so short. Writer's block and just incredibly tired)

Silas had the best sleep that he had in such a long time. He slept well, that was until this annoying sound of his alarm filled the air. Beep, beep, beep He groaned and reached for his phone. His reach was terribly off and instead, he grabbed something soft. It was warm and caused the faintest hint of alarm. Waking up fully, he looked at what he had grabbed and realized it had been somebody's arm. This confused him more. The warmth on his side of another person's body, somebody else's arm...he hadn't had company in his own bed for rather a decent while. A long time, in reality. The memories of last night flooded through his mind and he gave a small groan, finally reaching for his phone and turning off the alarm. It was around 7am...time for work. Of course he would rather stay in bed. "Hey..." He turned so his body was facing the girl. What was her name again....He caught a glimpse of familiar hair and facial features. He instantly paused, the blood draining from his body,"PRINCESS?"

Rylee was deep in sleep, up until this... noise interrupted it. She was pissed, what was that noise? Then it hit her, an alarm. She hadn't heard one of those in a long time.
Right as Rylee started to come to wide-awakeness, she felt someone grab her arm, and she freaked out. She twisted and yanked her arm out of the stranger's grip. Where the hell was she? Was she in a bed? Why?
Then, the memories came flooding back as she wriggled to the edge of the bed. Her body felt so relaxed and warm, and she didn't want to get up. But she needed to, and she needed to get alert quick. Or this whole situation would get turned around on her.
Thank god the alarm was finally turned off though, and now Rylee was becoming more alert as she sat up. About to swing her legs off the bed and get out. When Silas recognized her. Shit.
Rylee was on her feet as once, thank god she was still in clothes. Her shoes? Meh, she'd be fine. But for the moment, she was coiled like a cornered animal. There was no telling if she was going to flee or attack. Hell, she didn't even know.

He had a criminal in his house...he had a criminal in his room...oh god, he had a criminal in his bed. He had almost slept with a criminal...well he did sleep with a criminal just not in that way. Oh my god, what was he going to do? He stared at her with shock. Silas had many choices up his sleeve, he could call his friends, take her to the station himself, or do nothing. It wouldn't look good if he called his friends but it also wouldn't look bringing her into the station and writing up the report. He wasn't a good liar and it was forbidden to lie on police records. "Oh my god," He whispered, his gaze not leaving her as she got to her feet. She looked ready to run and he couldn't blame her. Why she didn't, he would never know. She had the opportunity to. He was fast but not that fast. Questions started to form in his mind. He wasn't sure how this had happened or why she had let this happen. From his memories, she hadn't been drunk enough to forget who he was. If he thought like his friends did, he would have assumed it was to steal but her outfit didn't really have pockets and he would have felt something last night if she had taken it.Also, minor criminals did not steal from cops. It wasn't their cup of tea. Normally they stole from gas stations as a way to survive. Sighing, he tore his gaze away and got off the bed. He leaned against the door to prevent her from taking off. She could choose the window way but he was on the third floor of the apartment. Jumping wouln't be very smart. She looked as spooked as he did. "It's okay...it's okay..." He told her, his gaze flickering to his cell phone and back on her. He did that purposely to show that he didn't have his phone and he wasn't going to call anyone. Technically, she wasn't committing a crime now. Technically, he couldn't arrest her. He knew that was the lamest excuse ever but he didn't want to make an arrest. Not with the thought of having to explain how he had come across her. He had a feeling almost sleeping with a criminal wouldn't look too good on his end and could get him fired. "Look, I'm not going to do anything. There's nothing on me," he held his hands up in surrender,"You remember that right?" She would have felt something on him as well. He was trying to draw up those distant memories. "There's nothing on you, right?" On his end, he wanted to clarify. Things were a bit blurry. Trying to think back did cause his head to throb. He ignored it, afraid to act on the pain in front of her. He didn't want her to run or try jumping.
