Smart!! I would spend maybe at least an hour doing it in one day 😆. The recipes asking for lemon were odd though.

Well i did the filling last night, put it in the fridge to cool, and started the pie itself this morning! The recipe did call for lemon, i had to juice and zest one in the bowl of apples

He blushed heavily at the response of the younger brother. He wasn't sure that Prince Avery truly liked him. He was starting to feel something toward the older prince but he would never admit it. The way he had been acting was too confusing but if he had a bad past with relationships, it would explain that.

"I would never do such a thing to him," He spoke so softly words meant for just him to hear. It would have been too faint for Prince Robbie to catch, especially since he hasn't stopped talking about them. He was going on and on about how they were cuddled together. He brushed his free hand through the prince's hair, being careful to not mess up the gel all too much.

He cleared his throat awkwardly.

"Your brother and I are just friends," He concluded, finality in his voice. He really didn't want to go on about this. It was awkward and embarrassing.

"Hey why don't you go tell your guard all about how much you want another peach cobbler?" He suggested, wanting to be left alone about his feelings on the matter of Prince Avery.

Avery waited until he heard Robbie's steps fade, and then yawned, and slowly sat up. He shivered slightly at the lack of contact, and stretched a bit.

"Hey," he said, glad his voice was still sleepy and soft. "Sorry I fell asleep on you. I can't seem to knock this headache."
He kept his voice sunny and bright, as if he hadn't just heard their conversation. Avery glanced at his glass. Robbie had gotten a good swallow of the alchohol, but there was still a bit left. He finished it, and stood.
"I'm going to go freshen up before we land. Just text if you need anything." He smiled over his shoulder, and went to the closest bathroom.
He carefully redid his hair, making sure each strand was in the perfect place to give him a rougishly handsome look. He also made sure that his face didn't have any creases in it from sleeping on Aspen's shoulder. Avery gave the mirror a quick smile, and decided he looked alright, if not a bit pale. He pulled a pack of gum from his pocket, and took a piece, making sure his breath didn't smell like alchohol. He knew the press wouldn't be close enough to tell, but his mother would, and she wouldn't be happy he'd been drinking so early.

It wasn't long until he felt the figure beside him shift. He was glad that the conversation had ended when it did. It gave him a few minutes to recollect himself and get his blushing under control just before the prince woke.

"Sorry I fell asleep on you. I can't seem to knock this headache."

"No worries, what are friends for?" He responded, giving a small shiver at the lack of warm contact between the top of them. He kept his tone friendly, not showing any signs of how the earlier conversation between the younger brother and him affected him truly.

"I'm going to go freshen up before we land. Just text if you need anything."

"Okay," He got up to allow the prince more room to go to the closest bathroom.

That was the one thing he didn't correct the prince on. Cell phones had to be turned off before getting on the jet because it messed with the technology there. His face faltered to a frown but was quickly recovered. He was brought back to his original question.

Was it just stress making the prince appear ill with headache or something more?

Avery was just finalizing his finishing touches, and he heard the pilot ask the passengers to please prepare for landing. He hurried back to the nearest seat, not the one he'd formerly been in. He saw Robbie also running back to his seat, and they all settled in for landing. Avery hated landings. They were jostling, and he despised the jerk of the plane when the landing gear went down.
Thankfully, the landing was smoother than usual, and he relaxed himself, getting ready for the press. Robbie was holding Zara in one arm, and a pair of sunglasses in the other. Avery fished in his pocket, and also pulled out a pair, sliding them on. He took a deep breath, and walked down the stairs from the plane, onto the airstrip. Since it was only a slip of a runway, they always exited the plane like that. He prepared his million dollar smile, and flashed it at the press, waving as he walked towards a low-slung sporty car. Robbie followed, and he heard the press talking about how sweet it was that the younger prince had a kitten with him, and what adorable pictures they'd gotten of both princes.
Avery rolled his eyes. That was nothing new. When he'd been younger, he'd watched his interviews, and then read the comments hungrily, wanting to know how much people wished they could meet him, and how they thought he was so cute. Now, he avoided anything with his face on it, and couldn't care less what most people thought.

Aspen had no trouble with flying on a plane, not even landings. After all, he and Cassandra had to fly on a plane to get to this country when they were 13. It took a falsely written consent paper from his to get here but Cassandra's family just let her travel. It must be nice to have more supportive parents.

But that was a long time ago. Everything was okay now. He was a citizen of the UK now. His past didn't matter all too much.

He watched both princes get off the plane, his eyes narrowing. He may have been able to escape the paparazzi when he first came but there was no way he could do that now. Sighing, he double-checked himself to make sure he looked as presentable as possible. Maybe he would lucky like he was when the princes and him had dinner. Paparazzi hardly batted an eye at him.

He made his way down the stairs and positioned himself behind Prince Avery as they walked. He made sure to keep his emotions in check and his posture the best it had ever been. He was trying to disguise his lower-class status and appear fitting to be of the princes company.

Although most of the discussion was about Prince Robbie's cat. He might be lucky again and make it to the sportscar without the press noticing him.

Avery watched throught the car window as Aspen came down from the plane. To his relief, the paparazzi was already moving on, hoping to get good pictures at Windemere. He knew they wouldn't, since the whole house was gated off, and the small town at the edge was the only place they might be able to catch the princes.
The sweet smell of peaches hung in the air, and he smiled at the familiar scent. Robbie slid over, making room for Aspen, and off they went.
"They'll bring the luggage in a different car," Avery explained. "It'll be at Windemere in a bit."
He let the rest of the ride be silent, and stared out the windows at his familiar childhood home. Finally, the pale smoky grey house came into view. The towers and wrapparound porch looked picturesque surrounded by the blossoming trees, and Avery's excitement only grew. A moment later they passed the gates, and cirled the driveway, stopping by the big double doors of the house.
He and Robbie jumped out, Robbie keeping a tight grip on Zara so she wouldn't decide to try being a wild cat again. The windows of the house were open, and a maid waved to the princes from an upstairs window. Avery was about to run up to his room when he realized that Aspen hadn't been told about where he'd be staying.
Avery turned back, and motioned for Aspen to catch up.
"I'll show you your room," he said kindly.

Aspen escaped the attention once again. He was a pro at being invisible after all. He slid in the car next to Robbie, giving a friendly smile. However, his face reflected nervousness. He didn't like being in unfamiliar places. Especially ones that screamed to him he didn't belong here.

He let the silence fill the car, not really in the mood to talk. He wasn't too sure about this, he hadn't been all along. However, he only said yes because the prince pushed it. He could have gotten in trouble with his father. It only seemed fair to come along. Although, he was feeling quite differently now.

They were there sooner than he would like. He got out quickly, knowing the princes were probably eager and excited to be at their favorite vacation spot. He was instantly greeted by the smell of peaches and had to take a moment to recompose himself so he didn't show how disgusted he was by peaches. He wished somebody had warned him about that.

"I'll show you your room."

He realized that he had been lost in his own thoughts, thinking about the farm. He turned his attention back the prince and jogged a little to catch up with him.

"My apologies. It's just a lot to take in," He lied, the lie leaving a sour taste on his tongue. He didn't want to talk about his hometown or the way his siblings treated him. However, that's all the smell of peaches reminded him of.

Avery gave him a soft smile.
"I suppose it is."

He gazed around at the trees and sprawling lawns, before turning around, and opening the door.
"You have a few options for a room," Avery said, not wanting to just put him in any bedroom.
"There's one with a balcony, and one that's done in all nautical style, and one that's all open and airy. Do you have a preferance?"
Avery had paused in the foyer, under a chandelier, and was looking over his shoulder, his hand already resting on the rail.
"Do you want to see them first?"

Robbie came clumping down the stairs, Zara weaving around his ankles.
"I'm going out," he said, interrupting the end of Avery's sentance. Avery barely hid his distaste for his brother butting in, and he sucked his cheeks in.
"That's great," he said through gritted teeth. "Where are you going? Mum is bound to ask."
Robbie gave him a devilish grin.
"Racing track," he said breezily, dropping Zara into Avery's arms. "She can't come."
"I'm aware," Avery muttered, and sighed. "Drive safely, ok?"
Robbie just rolled his eyes, and walked out the door. Avery swore softly, and turned back to Aspen.
"Sorry about that. He's just excited to be here. Do you want to see them?"

The lie felt even worse when Prince Avery didn't question it. He had told half-truths and lies many times before. He wasn't sure why one little one toward the prince made him feel so awful. Sometimes lies were essential to protect yourself from harm or from a memory that burdened your heart.

"You have a few options for a room."

He was surprised to find Prince Avery giving him a choice on the room. He didn't expect to have a choice. After all, normally he was just shown where he needed to be. However, it was nice to be given options.

He was about to answer when the heavy sound of footsteps raced down the stairs. He frowned a little at the interruption but truth be told he didn't mind too much. Prince Robbie seemed happy about going racing. In a way, Prince Robbie reminded him of his youngest sibling.

"Sorry about that. He's just excited to be here. Do you want to see them?"

"Yes, please! If you don't mind that is," He wanted to get a good taste of the rooms and pick one there. He wanted one that screamed the opposite of the farm, not that that would be too difficult to find here.
