Kaitlyn sighed, she felt so useless. Then the tears slipped down Aloe's cheeks and Katie felt hope. "Okay, this is a good sign. I know it doesn't seem like it since she's crying and all, but this means that her brain is functioning to the point to where she can understand what is going on. I don't know if she can hear us but her brain is definitely functioning. I need to get some fluids in her, something to control the swelling too. That can make the injury worse. Give me a moment." She opened her bag and revealed her supplies all organized. From there she began to hook up the drip to the girl.

Aloe heard everything, though her brain was going through sludge. She couldn't understand a lot of it, but she knew they had hope, however slim. Jason cleared his throat, and said softly, "She can hear us." He stayed silent after that, but Rainbow started talking. "Hello, Aloe. We are here to help you. We have many people here who care, and we will take care of you. Promise."

Kaitlyn Rubbing a disinfectant wipe on the area Katie would insert the needle. She looked up for a moment at Jason with slight curiosity but mostly worry for the young girl in her care. She gave Rainbow a tiny smile of approval for what they had said. What Rainbow said was true so Katie was good with it. Taking out a small portable drip stand. "I don't have any anesthetic pads so she will just have to feel it all. It will only hurt when I insert the needle, when I take out the needle only the tubing will remain but it won't hurt, it'll just be uncomfortable after that. Then the tube will be held in place by a band-aid and some tape. From there I'll attach the smaller tube to the larger one which will connect to the fluids itself. For now I'm just going to put some steroids so the swelling goes down. That's the most I can do. I'm only this because I don't want it to shock Aloe when I put a needle in one of her veins." Addilyn was listening though not really, yes she was worried about the child, but she didn't want to hear about everything that was about to happen to the kid.

Aloe remembered getting shots. It always hurt when she clenched up. She sent peace through her body, her arms seemed heavier now, sinking into the bed as they relaxed. Her muscles were loose and easy, no longer tight. The words of one soothed her, making her feel safe. She would be okay. Someday.

Inserting the needle quickly, Katie took it out as soon as the tube was set in the vein. From there she placed the band-aids and tape on it. Quickly connecting it to the drip with deft hands. "That's the most I can do now. I'll come back sooner or late with some regular fluids so she can have a water intake though that will require another drip. I just might be able to get some broth down her throat though I don't really know. If anything seems wrong or off, please come and get me." She said this as she put some of her supplies away. "I'll be back later, unless someone else has any injuries I should look at." She glances over everyone in the room with deadly serious eyes. If they hid so much as a scrape from her eyes she would be angry. Addilyn shrugged, her injuries were all patched up and the others were okay how they were.

Rainbow mumbled something under their breath. Ribs, who was the closest to them, scowled. "Speak up." He commanded, eyebrows furrowing. Rainbow sighed softly. "Do you have any inhalers?..." Their face was red, but Jason and Ribs just sighed. "They have asthma." Ribs explained shortly.

Kaitlyn nodded and smiled, "of course I have some inhalers. I wouldn't be a doctor otherwise." Deftly opening up a pocket in her bag, this revealed several multicolored inhalers and canisters. "You have color options, if you don't care about the color then you could have a grey one."

Rainbow opted for the gray one, giving s nod of thanks. They hadn't had an asthma attack for a while, but the familiar feeling of the inhaler in heir hand was comforting. Ribs seemed pleased with this, his bald scalp gleaming from the nervous sweat that had occurred while he worried about the child. The tiny reactions gave him hope, yet he still feared greatly for her state.

"For now Aloe is stable though any sudden movements will give a sudden stop to any healing whatsoever. I would say that I'll stay here but there isn't enough room, I'm only three doors down though so if anyone needs me then get me. I'm awake all night anyways. I'll be back in the morning to refill her IV and check her vitals and such." She said this as she put her supplies away. Quickly standing up with the bag in hand and no smile on her face. "Goodnight I guess," tucking her hair behind her ear before opening the door and leaving.

Rainbow rested their head in their hands, shoulders sagging. "I'm so sorry..." They murmured brokenly, "May I just sleep?" When they looked up, the bright eyes were clouded, and the face was ashen. Ribs rubbed his friends back, but didn't say anything.
