"Nothing special." She said as they walked. Imani felt bad for Zeus, noticing his slight limp, and the other array of cuts and brusies peppered throughout his fur. "My parents were both born here, and so was I. You probably didn't notice but I actually have two other sisters. I'm not really close with either or them, or my parents. We talk here and there, but not the typical relationships you would expect to have with your family."

Zeus nodded, even though she did have a family, they were both the same, always outsiders. Never on good terms with anyone. Every day he spent with her, the more their relationship blossomed. "My paretns were born in the Pride." He said, limping his way next to Imani. "When he was exiled, she was to, but she hated me so much she left me. My father was killed as the King now took over the Pride." He added, he hadnt really known his father, but he knew he would be proud.

Imani nodded. she couldn't share his pain in a lost loved one, but she knew what it felt like. Sometimes it felt like her family was dead, mainly because they never came around anymore. She tried so hard to prove to her parents she was worth something, but they always brushed her off, so eventually she stopped trying. "You're the only family i've ever had." Imani said, brushing up against Zeus's side.

Zeus nodded, his head still back in memory lane, remembering the laughs and cruel gazes as he was forced to leave, being chased out by the pride. His mother nipping him for causing them to leave, watching his father be killed by the new King. He shook his mane gently. "I could say the same." He said, rubbing his mane against Imani's head, hibbling down the path. "What has been something you've always wanted?" He asked, ebjoying getting to know Imani on a deeper level.

Imani thought for a moment before she answered. "A family. People that love me for who I am and don't push me away. And cubs. I want to be a better parent then my parents were to me." She said, gazing at the sky. Imani looked at Zeus, "What about you?"

Zeus looked Imani in the eyes. "Ive always wanted to lead." He said, staring off into the distanxe. "I have always wanted to be King. Prove my father that I'm his son. That I can be just like him and better. But I agree with you. The more time I spend with you Imani, the more I want a family, cubs, and you Imani." He smiled. Awaiting the lionesses response.

Imani nuzzled Zeus, finally feeling at home. Imani had no desire to go back to the pride and face the Queen, but she knew they should probably be getting back. "We should probably head back before the Queen has both our heads." Imani chuckled

Zeus nodded, giving a slight chuckle, as he turned around. "I think it will be different now." He said with a small smile. He started to limp his way back to camp, Imani at his side. When the two entered camp, it seemed that neither the King nor the Queen had awoken yet, ans the huge buffalo carcass still remained. "I should stay by the carcass for when she awakens." Zeus said, nuzzling Imani.

"Okay." Imani said, "I'll wait with you." She said, sitting down next to Zeus. Imani looked at Zeus's leg, still bleeding slightly, "How is your leg doing?" She asked, glancing at the King and Queen's den before turning her attention back to him.

"Oh that." He said, looking at his leg, "Just a kick from the buffalo." He said, seeing the bruising starting to form from around the injury. "Its not as bad as it looks." He said, trying to reassure her, just as the Ling amd Queen arose from their den.
