"The Great Adventure" as Jason had dubbed this exploration, began in Greece.

And gods above they had loved Greece. Nearly a month had been spent exploring the beaches and cities and museums, and truly relishing the idea of freedom.

After that, they hopped on a boat and sailed to Italy. Jason had always wanted to take one of those photos pretending to push up the Leaning Tower of Pisa, so that had been on his Must See list, which they easily checked off. They still went to other places as well, and spent about two weeks in Italy. After that had been Switzerland, then Germany, then Denmark, and Norway, Sweden, and Finland.

They went to so many places, absorbing and appreciating everything that was there to offer, and Jason loved it. He loved seeing Addi happy, too, and that emotion was by no means lacking on "The Great Adventure."

Months and months passed this way, and for two people who had hardly been anywhere - with one thinking they'd never see the outside of a prison again at one point - this was heaven. Sure, they lived out of a suitcase, but when had they not?

Jason wasn't ready to settle down, and neither was Addi, so after some fun times in Finland, they went to England. (Jason may have found it great fun to ask for sweet tea to see the disgust in a Brit's eyes, even though he hated sweet tea.)

They had been in Europe for nearly 9 months by now, spending more or less a month in each country. However, Addilyn had fallen in love with Ireland, and its beauty, and they spent nearly two months there. Almost every day was spent hiking, and seeing the most beautiful sights a person could ever imagine.

(Jason had so many photos on his phone, and the second month in had invested in a professional camera. It had quickly become one of his favorite hobbies.)

11 months in, and Jason wasn't tired of traveling.

He was, however, tiring of Europe. Addi had agreed to his plans of continuing "The Great Adventure" in South America and Australia, but had first wanted to go back to Greece. Apparently there was someone she wanted to 'reconnect with', as well as explain the way the world worked to him, which, in Jason's humble opinion, seemed like a lot to do, but Addi was insistent. Not that she needed to insist much. It was more like an ask, and Jason instantly agreeing. Jason wasn't about to say no to her. He didn't quite know if it was possible.

Besides, as he had stated before: He. Loved. Greece.

(They had stopped in France on the way back and spent a very loving and romantic week in the city of love, and as well as purchasing too much bread for two people.)

And now, once again, they were in France, in a city with blue roofs, and Jason couldn't help but fall in love with Greece once again.

"We are totally getting married here," Jason said casually as he set down his bag in the room they were staying in, "Like, not now, but eventually. We are coming back here. I am up for negotiation, but then I would like a honeymoon here, please."

The Great Adventure, as Jason had dubbed their journey through the world, was everything Addilyn could've hoped for and much much more.

Although Addilyn had technically been to many of the places they traveled to before in long lost lives, experiencing those places with Jason made it a trillion times more special. Seeing him happy after everything they'd gone through was a miracle in itself, and Addilyn was definitely cherishing that miracle.

The first stop had been Greece, and gods how much she'd loved walking on the beech with Jason, hand in hand, or exploring old ruins that few knew of. Perks of being an ancient being with a pretty good memory.

Italy had been great, as had everything that'd come after it. Every moment with Jason was a moment well spent, especially now that they were both truly discovering who they were when they weren't constantly in danger.

Jason's sense of humor never failed to make Addilyn laugh, and gods did she love laughing. She'd never felt so full before, so absolutely at peace with who they both were. Of course, the travelling definitely helped, Addilyn was still not too used to staying in one place for an extended period of time, and Jason wasn't either. For now, they were both pretty much content with travelling and seeing as much of the world with one another as possible.

After 11 months of basically constant travel, Addilyn had gotten word of someone trying to contact her while the duo (well trio because Kit came with them everywhere, refusing to be left behind which was very much understandable) were in France. After asking around the local witch community (without Jason because if Addi got into a fight on accident she did not want her boyfriend to be there) Addilyn got her answer as to who was trying to get into contact with her, and immediately knew that she just had to see him again.

Although Addilyn didn't like pushing around the plans they'd made, she ended up asking Jason if they could return to Greece to meet up with an old friend. She was quite relieved when Jason agreed, and soon enough they were back in Greece, Kit as well of course.

Jason spoke just as Addilyn released Kit from his bag, the familiar slowly turning his head towards Jason as he spoke, then to Addilyn, in a 'what the fuck did this man just say?' gesture. While Kit didn't even want to think about his witch getting married, Addilyn enthusiastically nodded her head. Although Addilyn had gotten used to Jason's little comments about their future together, he never failed to make her blush a little.

"I agree, it's always so beautiful here, I don't think I'll ever get tired of it." Addilyn spoke as she opened up the window, allowing fresh air to pour into the room, it smelled of salt and sunlight, a combination that fit perfectly.

The scent soothed Addilyn's nerves that had begun to wriggle about in her stomach once they'd entered their rental. They wouldn't be meeting up with Benjamin until later in the day, but she was still nervous. She hadn't seen him for multiple lifetimes, hadn't even remembered he existed until she'd regained her memories, which were still a bit unreliable at times. Perhaps it wasn't a good idea to meet with Benny, but he'd reached out first, and she couldn't just say no to him.

Addilyn twirled a bit of hair between two fingers as her mind raced, she was trying not to be too worried about it all, but her efforts were not working.

Jason nodded along, "I can't see myself getting tired of it either. And Kit, if it makes you feel better, just pretend I didn't say anything."

Still, despite their light talking, Jason could see Addi twirling her hair, a sure sign that she was worrying about something.

So, he came up from behind Addilyn, and wrapped his arms around her, kissing the top of her head. Resting his chin on the top of her head, he looked out at the view, "What's wrong, love? Your thoughts are racing." Jason was now an expert at blocking out other people's minds (or at least dulling down specific people), and not paying attention to what exactly those thoughts are. Still, Addi's emotions were everywhere, and he could feel an aura of worry around her, although he did not know the cause.

"Whatever is going on, we will face it together, alright? I've got your back."

Kit made it a point to ignore Jason as he settled down right in the middle of the bed, it wasn't like he disliked Jason, but he didn't love the fact that he was sharing Addilyn with him. Although he couldn't think of anyone better to be his witch's lover, he still refused to acknowledge that out loud. So what if Jason had saved him from a lifetime of imprisonment? Jason was still taking his witch away from him, and that was enough for Jason to earn a little bit of sass from Kit every now and then.

Jason's touch never failed to calm Addilyn down, no matter what situation it was. Over the past few months she'd learned to trust him fully, in a way that she'd never had the opportunity to before. In his presence she could fully relax, and she didn't even realize her jaw was clenched until he wrapped his arms around her. Leaning into his embrace, she placed her on hands over his, a tiny smile forming on her face as he spoke.

Not wanting to worry him, Addilyn soon replied, her voice softer now that he was near. "It's nothing bad Jason," Addilyn soothed, "I'm just worried about how this is going to go. I feel as if my expectations are far too high though I know you won't remember. I'm sorry babe, I can't put it all into words, I just hope things will go well." Addilyn released a heavy sigh, she'd gotten used to telling Jason how she felt over the months, but she often struggled to put her thoughts into words, especially with how scattered her mind often was.

It wasn't that she believed anything bad would happen, the duo's fighting days were well behind them, but she was worried that her expectations were far too high. Benjamin being the son of Addilyn and Jason in a previous life still meant a lot to her, especially seeing as she'd had very few children born out of love while under Jolon's grasp. She was very excited to see him again after so many years, but Jason wouldn't be able to share in that excitement. It wasn't like he'd ever be able to remember, it was just the way the world worked, and Addilyn knew that better than anyone.

And yet here she was, hoping for the impossible. And worrying about things going wrong even though Benjamin had always been laid back and easy to get along with.

Jason pressed another kiss to the top of Addilyn's head, "Still, even if it isn't bad, I've got your back. You are not alone, my love. We will see whatever - or whoever - this is together. I hope everything goes the way you wish it to."

Jason looked amused, if anything, and shook Benjamin's hand with a small smile, "Yeah, I'm Jason. Nice to meet you, Ben. I'm not really sure who you are or what is going on, so excuse me if I'm not exactly what you are expecting."

Jason was smart enough to figure out that this person was from one of Addilyn's past lives, and someone that his (past self? soul? spirit? whatever, Jason didn't know that much) previous reincarnation might have known as well. Still, Jason wasn't like witches, and didn't have any memories of his previous lives, so what Ben might be expecting could be completely different than who Jason is now.

(That is, assuming Ben knew Jason in his past life, which could be incorrect...)

Jason snapped out of his own mind. It was easy to get distracted by his own thoughts, and Jason attempted to refocus on what was going on around him. While Jason still payed attention to Addilyn and Ben's conversation, he also glanced around the museum. Many of the artifacts didn't mean much to him, but one piece of pottery caught his eye, and made him do a double take.

I'll have to take another look at that once Ben and Addi have caught up.

The young man peered at Jason curiously before returning his gaze to Addilyn, interest sparking in his eyes. "So, quick question, he is the Jason right? Like the one who everyone won't stop talking about in the witching world? Also, you know, the reincarnation of my father?" Benjamin's blunt words, stated so openly despite being a human populated area, made Addilyn wince slightly.
"Uh, yea, I didn't realize everyone was talking about him though." Addilyn glanced at Jason and, without thinking about it, gently grabbed his hand for reassurance. She was sure he was a little lost about the whole situation, but he wasn't the only one who just felt out of place. Perhaps Addilyn should've felt more at home around someone who she had such a close tie with, but it was more odd and confusing than anything.

"So," Ben dragged out the word, "do you remember everything now? I mean, I'd assume you do but I'm not sure. There are so many rumors about you, both of you, that I am at a loss as to what happened that day." It was quite obvious about what day he was talking about, as his voice lowered and he shivered a little. "I cant say I'm sad to see that prick finally die." Benjamin finally finished, his eyes hardening for the first time.

"Um yea, I've remembered most everything, at least I think I have. Jolon kind of left things... scrambled in my head. Which is why I wanted to talk to you. I have questions about things, so many things, and I don't know where to start. It's...overwhelming at the best of times." Benjamin nodded his head to Addilyn's words, his eyes revealing pity for the woman before him.

"Yea, of course I can answer anything you need. Both of you that is. I know you don't really know who I am Jason, but, to put it very simply, I'm your child with Lilithfrom a previous life. I'm not sure what you've chosen to do now that you've been around a while, but if you have any questions I can probably answer them." Benjamin gave Jason a grim smile.

Benjamin knew that this stuff was probably hard for a human to really comprehend, and he didn't know whether or not Jason had chosen to ignore it for his own sanity. Whatever the case, he was there to help out in whatever way he could.

Jason squeezed Addi's hand in what he hoped to be a reassuring manner, and shrugged, "I mean. It's a lot. Obviously, since apparently I've been reincarnated a fuck ton of times or whatever." It was a lot to take in. Of course it was - there was apparently hundreds of years of history between him and Addilyn, but, if he was being honest, none of that mattered to him. What mattered was the now.

Perhaps he wasn't the person Addilyn originally fell in love with, but they were in love right now, and they were (working towards being) happy. Jason knew it would be impossible to have the same carbon-copied personality in each life, and since he couldn't remember his past lives, he didn't really see them as part of him - as in, the Jason he was right now. They might share his base personality, but they were different people, with different ideas and morals and priorities. Jason was his own person, and whole as he is right now - not a sum of his parts across thousands of years of time.

But that was a lot to put into words. Hell, it was a lot for Jason to even think about, and puzzle it all out in his pewny little human brain. So, to Benjamin, he just gave this stranger (because although he might be this man's father in another life, he certainly wasn't in this life) a winning - but very generic, and not at all his real - smile, "I'm here to support Addi, and be her cute little cheerleader in all that she does. Since humans, ya know, don't remember their past lives, I'm content to just live out this one, and not bother with my past."

Benjamin gave Jason a true smile and nodded his head, and Addilyn squeezed Jason's hand for a moment agreeing with his words. "That is fair and wise, it is best to just let it all pass in the case of humans. I believe it is better to not remember than to remember anyways." Ben waved his hand around as if clearing the air while Addilyn gave the tiniest nod of her head in agreement. Sometimes she wondered if she would've been better off without all this clutter in her head, and she knew that had Jason been the one to uncover all his memories he would have thought the same.

"Well Addilyn, what is it you want to know? I would love to help in any way I can." Benjamin gave her his winning smile and Addilyn felt encouraged by it. With a deep breath, Addilyn began, asking her questions and patiently waiting for a reply that always got a deeply satisfied smile out of her. Her fogged memories slowly cleared as she clearly learned about who she was and what it meant to be Lilith Aethelborne.
