Jason nodded his understanding, and stood after a moment. His joking face took on a more serious tone, and he met Lance's gaze fearlessly (or at least with very concealed fear), "I'll take care of your son, and even if you do not care much for Addilyn, I will take care of her as well. Thank you for the money, and the freedom. We'll stay out of your hair in this life." It was time to leave. Hopefully, there would be no need for any meetings with Addilyn's honestly terrifying father, and they could move away and be free and legally able to move between countries without any arrest warrants.

Kit stood with Jason, and was closely followed by Kaitlyn, whose palms were sweating uncontrollably after clenching her knees for so long. The tension in the room was easing up, but the tension in Kaitlyn's body was not. She felt like a cornered mouse, one wrong move and snap, she would be dead. The urge to run out the door was stifling but Lance's steady green gaze held her there. The smallest, tiniest smile drifted onto Lance's face, and slowly, he nodded his head. Jason was a respectable human, one who was much older than even he, even if Jason was not really aware of that. "No, thank you Jason Stolle. Without you this would have not come to pass for another thousand years. I may not agree with the path you go down, I feel as though Addilyn may do you more harm than good, but I respect you Jason. If you are ever in need of magickal assistance, don't hesitate to contact me." Lance released a heavy sigh, and London gently brushed up against him before hopping down to the floor, to speak to Kit for a moment, Lance watched carefully. Kit personally hoped that London rotted in The Void for a long time but remained cordial when speaking to her. He agreed to the terms of keeping Addilyn out of the witching world and then headed for the door, wishing he had hands so he could just open the door and leave. He hated being a cat.

Jason pursed his lips for a moment, and nodded after the pause, "Alright, Sir. Have.... Have a good day." Jason opened up the door for Kit and Kaitlyn, and followed them out. He took one last glance over his shoulder, and met Lance's light colored eyes. Jason could feel the power radiating from this man, and knew he had abilities way beyond Jason's wildest dreams. He wasn't anywhere close to being able to fathom what Lance had lived through, but for the span of a heartbeat, Jason let go of his mental walls, no longer holding back his ability. There was no way Jason would ever try to read Lance's mind, but any stray thoughts could be picked up and snagged... and in that moment, Jason understood. Maybe he couldn't relate, or see himself making the choices Lance had made, but the heavy grief and weight the man felt from the loss of his soulmate, and the loss of his son.... Even though Lance's eyes spoke of power with their light color, they were dark with the responsibility and pain that living and remembering lifetime after lifetime brings. Jason could feel it, and he understood. And really... that is all he could have ever hoped to do with Lance. Understand. The door closed behind him, and in that same instance, Jason pulled back up his walls, and turned to face Kaitlyn and Kit. His smile maybe didn't cover all he felt, but they wouldn't ask, "Lets go," His voice was quiet, "We have people waiting for us."

Kit couldn't help but want to murder something. London's presence always pissed him off, and he wouldn't have been particularly upset if she'd tried to attack Jason. As long as he had a reason to actually slaughter her, he didn't quite mind. She deserved it anyways, granted, the same could be said for himself so he couldn't really be talking. "I suppose so, also, was it just me or did London have a stick up her ass the entire time? Also, are we gonna tell Addilyn about all of this? I'm not sure if she would want to know.." Kit trailed off, his eyes widening in realization. Since when did he go to anyone else for advice about his own witch? It was in that moment that Kit realized, Jason knew his witch more in this life than Kit did, and somehow, that hurt. Kaitlyn nodded, the tension finally dissapating completely, her body finally relaxing. That hadn't gone nearly as bad as she'd thought it would, in all honesty, she hadn't been sure she would make it out alive. Luckily for her, Lance had been in a... decent mood, oddly so, but Kaitlyn wasn't complaining. Now that the tension was gone, she was left with pure, and utter exhaustion. Healing Addilyn and pulling her back from The Void had been the most magick she'd done since the Dark Ages, literally. Such big spells drained a witch, especially someone of her level, she was lucky to even be alive. It seemed that as of late, luck had been on her side, whether that would last or not, she was unsure. What she did know was that once she made sure Addilyn wasn't being a fucking dumbass and trying to push herself to move, Kaitlyn would take a long, very much needed, nap.

"I dunno about the London part - I don't know her really so I can't tell - but yeah... She'll want to know about our records being cleared and the money and stuff," Jason shrugged and began steering them all towards the elevator to get back to their floor, "So it'll really be a matter of how much she wants to know. I'll figure it out when we talk again, but she needs to rest now. And," Jason moved his line of vision from Kit to Kaitlyn, with a serious look, "I'll make sure Addilyn rests and sleeps. You take some time to do that as well, Kaitlyn. Don't worry about Addi - you take care of yourself."

A look of shock spread across Kaitlyn's face, but slowly she nodded, the circles under her eyes showing her exhaustion. It was odd, hearing someone other than Zane showing her any sort of sympathy, sure, Addilyn tried, but she was often too mixed up in her own mess to notice Kaitlyn's problems. Humans were such odd creatures, she had to admit, but she was thankful for Jason's kind words, as she really did need the sleep. Kit supposed that what Jason was saying was correct, even if it would probably upset Addilyn a bit. It would probably hurt her a bit too, even if she didn't want to admit it. Addilyn had never met her father, and at this rate, never would. Neither would Destan, who'd never had the opportunity to meet either of his parents. It would hurt both of them, but as long as the siblings had each other they would heal. Kit was deep in thought when he heard it, or rather, felt it. "Kit?" A frantic voice rang through his head, and he startled immediately, jumping in the way cats did when spooked. He landed on Jason's shoe, but scurried off, quick to apologize as he tried to reply to the new person in his head. "Umm hello, is that you Addilyn?" Kit was awfully confused, but assumed it was just Addilyn, as witches could only commune with him if he allowed them to, other than Jason of course, who basically just read his loudest thoughts. Since Addilyn was his witch, she could bust into his head at any time, but in the past, she'd had the sensibility to knock first before just barging in and scaring him. "Well yea it is, sorry I scared you, but where the hell are you? Everyone is just...gone." Addilyn's inner voice sounded a little afraid, and Kit immediately felt bad. She must've woken up to the foreign beeping of the heart monitor, and the feeling of an empty space beside her where Jason had been. After what she'd been through, the things they were both remembering, it had probably been more than frightening to be alone again. "Yea, we're just downstairs, we had to talk to... well we were summoned by Lance. We'll fill you in when we get back okay? I'm sorry we didn't tell you that we were leaving, but you were so tired, we didn't want to wake you." Kit felt, rather than heard, Addilyn's surprise at her father summoning her friends. She was quick to recover though, and slowly replied. "Okay, see you soon then." And just like that, her presence was gone, and Kit no longer felt her in his mind.

Jason looked oddly at Kit, but didn't ask any questions. He could hear the faintest bits of Kit's one-sided conversation, but it was muffled - like the sound behind a closed door when people were whispering. He could tell when Kit was done, although he didn't ask any questions. It would be up to Kit to decide if he disclosed any information, and either way, Jason could guess what had happened. The elevator opened up with a beep on their floor, and the group walked out. He wasn't positive where Kaitlyn would be staying - but seeing as he hadn't seen Aloe in the room Addilyn was in, Jason assumed they had gotten multiple hotel rooms.

Kaitlyn was absolutely exhausted, her body was slowly giving up on her. But she was a doctor first, and she still needed to check Addilyn's vitals and make sure that both the IVs in Addilyn and the blood transfusion were going well. It wasn't that hard of a task, but Kaitlyn doubted that Jason had much experience in that field and she didn't want to risk Addilyn after just getting her back. Without warning, Kaitlyn released a loud, "oh shit." Her eyes widened and she ran a hand through her tangled hair. She'd forgotten about Michael's, you know, death when she'd been working on keeping Addilyn alive. She doubted that Zane had told Alex, so it would fall on her to tell Alex that her brother was gone, and that they didn't even have a body. This was a bad situation, but it wasn't like Kaitlyn hadn't done this before. Granted, she'd actually been awake last time, but still. This was familiar, she could do this. At least that's what she told herself. "Uh," Kit looked questioningly at Kaitlyn but she just waved him off, losing herself to her thoughts. "Well um, anyways, Addilyn is awake, so we'd better hurry before she thinks Lance murdered us all or something." Kit sighed, his tail drooping down as he trotted along. Kaitlyn merely nodded, back in her own head. The door opened with a low squeak, and Addilyn's head immediately turned to look to look, causing her neck to spike up with pain. She was so, so sore, it absolutely sucked. When she'd realized that there was no one there, and Kit confirmed that they were safe, she'd turned the tv on with the remote on the bedside table that had been an ass to reach. She'd needed something to draw her out of her head. As soon as she saw Jason and Kit, she smiled, a weak, but alive smile. Although her eyes asked a silent question, what happened? She didn't say anything out loud though, mostly because her throat felt dry and she felt like talking would suck. Kit eagerly hopped up on the bed, staring at Addilyn, with her short hair, black eye, broken arm, and just all around messed up appearance, reminded him of a different time, a different place. And when the two met eyes, they knew they were both thinking the same thing.

Jason shrugged, "Lance told us that he'd clear our names - probably with his magic shit - and give us enough money every month to survive. The catch was that you wouldn't be involved in the witch world in this life, and," Jason shrugged, a wry and pained smile on his face, "I kinda thought that might be an easy promise to make." While Kaitlyn did a minor checkup with Addilyn, Jason continued on, "He also asked us to look after Destan. I also thought that that was an easy promise to make as well. It was.... tense, but good. We should be all set to leave this sort of life behind." - im so sorry for the state of this reply.

It's fine)) ~~~ Kaitlyn hovered about, checking Addilyn's vitals and everything else as well, mild annoyance fluttered across Addilyn's face, but she said nothing. Of course this was Kaitlyn's job, but it didn't mean that Addilyn had to like it. The poking and prodding only distracted her from Jason's words, she was in pain and Kaitlyn wasn't helping. Truthfully, she'd love to just curl up into a ball with Jason and Kit beside her, and fall asleep. That possible for multiple reasons, one, because they had responsibilities, and two, her stiches and broken bones prevented any comfortable position from being comfortable. Once Jason was done with his explanation, Addilyn gave him a lop sided smile, though it quickly turned into a wince as Kaitlyn gently looked over Addilyn's fucked up arm. "Well that's good then," Addilyn's voice was strained, pain making her voice hoarse, but she continued anyways. "I don't even remember a time where peace was even an option." And she truly couldn't, not in this life, or any others for such a long time. The idea of just settling down, of being with Jason, putting all this shit behind her just for a life, was so appealing, so freeing, she had to choke back tears. Oh what it was like, to be free, to be a person again. Kit watched his witch slowly breakdown, not in a bad way, but he felt it all lift off her shoulders, this great burden she'd been carrying. She was safe, she had a home, and his name was Jason Stolle.
