Even as Addilyn screamed, Jonas leaned forward and looked dead at Zane, "You fucking bet we are going to get Addilyn." He lowered his voice, "You really think that Jason actually likes that shit-bag? Hell no. He's my best friend and I am not letting his girlfriend die - even if she hates him."

"And are you able to leave her like that?" Jonas cocked his head toward the quivering pile that was Addilyn Stevenson, "It is horrible what he is doing to her. No person deserves that."

Although these people didn't know Jason that well, it still shocked him that they could believe that anyone would like Jolon. He was crazy and evil, based on the horrible scene that was playing out with Addilyn in front of them. It was terrifying to know someone could do that to you.

Although Addilyn's screams tore at his heart, it would all be for nothing if Jason didn't do his job. Every advisor was watching the areana. No one paid attention to him as he slipped out of his seat, to the back of the room, and pulled out a knife.
His first target was Asmodeus, for the crimes he commited against Addilyn, and the world.

There had been screaming, but it lasted less than fifteen minutes, and everyone was too captivated to notice. He couldn't feel his arm, and there were black spots doting his vision, but there wasn't time to do anything else. He had to leave - and do it fast - if he wanted to get away.

First he got the muzzle off of Kit, noticing for the first time his stained hands. There was a sink, and Jason took the time to wash the blood off his skin and try to get it out of his clothes, but they were too stained.

That was about as good as it was going to get.

As he was about to leave the room, Jason paused by the window, and felt his heart drop.

No no no no no NO. This could not be Addilyn's end. Not now. Not ever. Not until they were both old and gray and had lived their lives together, if she took him back. Please.

And then a miracle happened.
There was another chance at hope.....

was Lilith.

Addilyn looked around for a moment as Jolon slumped over the knife. She gazed over the stunned, frightened witches around her, and decided that maybe in her next life she’d be able to change it all. For now though, she was pretty sure she would not make it through the memory recovery. So she took one last look at the beautiful sky before closing her eyes and passing out as her memories rushed back into her head.

Jonas recognized when a case was won, and when to not push it. Now that Zane agreed to help Addilyn if she survived, he didn't want to say anything was would result in him changing his mind. He muttered a quiet, but sincere, thank you, and turned his attention towards the fight once more.

When Addilyn - or rather, Lilith - finished off Jolon, Jonas could only stare. He'd hoped she'd accomplished the seemingly impossible feat, but it was still hard to believe it was over.

A blast of something hit his back and Jonas was flung out of his seat and against the wall, almost tipping over into the arena.

Okay, maybe it wasn't over.

Jolon's men, even after seeing their leader fall, still decided to take action and complete their mission. Then, in a split second, the tide changed, and his, Zane, and Kaitlyn's inevitable death no longer seemed inevitable. A swarm of citizens overtook Jolon's guards, and the person Jonas excepted to see the least bolted in front of another blast that was supposed to his Zane -

Michael.

The older man waved them on even as he clutched his side, "Get out of here!"

If Jason had the time and energy to be freaking out, he totally would be. Right now, though, Jason was freaking tired, and focused on simply surviving for the next two minutes.

He spooked when Kit's voice touched his mind, someone sounding so much older. Perhaps it had to do with Addilyn ALMOST DYING AND THEN THE RANDOM MAN SHOWING UP AND THEN THERE BEING ANOTHER PERSON IN ADDILYN'E BODY THAT WAS ADDI BUT ALSO WASNT AT THE SAME TIME, BUT EITHER WAY SHE WAS CRUMPLED ON THE SAND OD THE ARENA.

Jason took a deep breath, "Yeah. We need to hurry." He could only pray that Ribs and whoever else was with him are able to grab Addilyn - because no matter what, that was still Addilyn - and flee.

Kaitlyn had set up her own barrier, the shield protecting them but it flickered in and out. She was already straining to keep Addilyn alive even from her position in the stands, and it took a good lot of her own energy to push Addilyn's concious into the Void. Though there was a good chance she wouldn't be able to get Addilyn back, she might just be able to do it. She would need help though, when that time came.

For now though, she was rather preoccupied by the men trying to kill her. She was a peaceful witch, never hurt anyone ever, and she stuck to that, even if it was particularly deadly in this situation. Zane opened up windows into the Inbetween whenever he was threatened by others' powers, but he was beginning to tire too. So many portals leading to nowhere ate up his energy like a starved animal.

Fortunately, Michael came to save the day, and Kaitlyn was rather relieved, though shocked nonetheless. "Come on!" Zane shouted over the cries of men as he opened a portal. It led directly in front of Addilyn inside the arena, her unconcious form limp. Kaitlyn allowed Jonas to go through first before following. Zane turned to Michael for a moment. "Thank you," he managed to shout over the thunder and rain that had begun to pour down after Lilith had collapsed. Then he disappeared into the portal, closing it behind him as he began to pant rapidly. Portals were his specialty, but were hard to maintain.

"Jonas please pick Addilyn up, from here we'll get back to the car. We'll drive towards the hotel and Zane will teleport of the rest of the way. Unfortunately, we can't risk losing the car otherwise we'd just teleport there right now. Lets hurry now, we must make it there before the rest of these idiots steal the car or something." Zane nodded before opening Kaitlyn's bag and taking out a vial of a green potion and downing it in three gulps. He immediately felt better.

Kit nodded his head, immediately beginning to lead Jason down. He had a plan, but if they did not hurry it would not work, with Addilyn's soul in the Void, Kit would die within the next 6 hours. "Follow me, we will use the servant's staircase to get out and hopefully you can hotwire a car or something. Which I am sure you're capable of doing so please do that." Kit meant no disrespect, he was merely using Jason's obvious skills to get them the hell out of there.

Kit ran down the public staircase before slipping through the wall a witch illusion of course.

Jonas carefully picked up Addilyn's body before throwing a glance at JOLON, "Uhm... Don't witches re-spawn? Won't he like... come alive again? And just seek more vengeance?"

Jonas really didn't know how witches worked, but he'd heard someone beside him muttering how Jolon would just come back to ruin the lives of everyone one more in his next life.

Jonas shrugged off his jacket and covered Addilyn up. She didn't need to catch a cold on top of whatever magical coma she was in right now.

Jason was honestly done with the witch world. It made his head hurt, and when Kit just fucking WENT THROUGH A DAMN WALL Jason simply plunged after him. He was too old for this crap, and he wasn't even that old.

"Yeah, I can hot wire a car," Jason said quietly, not sure if anyone was near. He'd had enough practice with this sort of stuff in his gang, and if the witches did magic up their car, he could easily get one going.

Michael waved the group on, then turned back to the fight. He was all out of choices now. His time line had reached its end, yet he wasn't sad. He had made his decision, and after a life of crime and doing nothing but saving his own skin... well, Michael could only hope whatever awaited him was merciful.

Addilyn didn't make a sound as Jonas covered her, a relief to Kaitlyn who had been mildly concerned that the girl might not have been fully in the Void. Now that she got a good look at her, Kaitlyn knew for a fact that Addilyn's arm was broken, quite possibly shattered. Kaitlyn had thought she'd seen energy released when Addilyn had killed Jolon, but now it was confirmed. The death of such an old being always brought a great force of energy with it.

"Technically yes, but this time Addilyn will be prepared. The only reason why she couldn't defeat him was due to her memory wipe. Jolon cast a spell on her soul, she couldn't break it even if she wanted to. As soon as she was born in any life, he wiped it all out with the spell since it was attached to her soul and not her physical form. Now that it's been broken, she will have more than enough power to defend her soul from an invasion like that again. It only happened in the first place because Ja-." Kaitlyn cut herself off as a sudden rune appeared a few feet away. She just managed to shield everyone before it went off like a bomb. Sending dust flying into the air.

"Talk later, we need to go. Now!" Zane's voice rose over the clashes of lightning and the yells of people in the audience. He grabbed Kaitlyn and yanked her towards the exit, glancing back every so often to make sure Jonas was following. They couldn't afford losing anyone because of Lilith.

Kit turned and nodded at Jason, staying silent for a moment as they went down the stairs. "I know I am quite late, but thank you. You've helped us for so long, even if you don't actually remember. Sorry, I must seem rather criptic but I do not have nearly enough time to explain what is happening. That is, if you ever do want to know what's happening. My only request is that you bring me back to Addilyn, after that you can be as free as you'd like. I think we would both understand why you'd rather not deal with Addilyn anymore. I respect that, but seriously, please do whatever makes you happy." Kit's mental voice was slightly strained. He knew that Addilyn still loved Jason, and she always would, but Jason was a human, he should have never gotten involved in the first place.

The two always seemed to find each other in each life but that didn't mean it was a particularly good thing. Jason should not have to be dragged into the world of magic each time, and Addilyn should not have to find herself drawn to him against everything. The two should have never been connected in the way The Coven had made them. It wasn't right. For Addilyn would always remember, and Jason would never.

Jonas was 99.9% sure that Kaitlyn had been about to say 'Jason' before they were so rudely interrupted. That was impossible though, unless -

Jonas almost got his head blown off by another flying spell. Now was not the time for contemplation. Jonas was right behind Zane. Yes, he was large, but he could still be fast when certain doom was trailing right at his feet. Addilyn was as light as a bird, so she didn't slow him down at all.

Jason wasn't sure what Kit was going on and on about, but it wasn't important at that moment, "You can thank me for whatever I did later - lets just focus on surviving for right now. And Kit..." A shout rang up somewhere close, and it sounded like footsteps then began to follow them. Jason mumbled a "sorry," as he scooped up the cat and grabbed onto the wide railing and slid down the stairs to go faster, "... Kit... Addi is the love of my whole damn life. No way would I just leave - unless she wanted me too - so get that fucking idea out of your mind."

Kaitlyn hurried everyone through The Below with a surprising amount of calm on her face. She kept a barrier up around her and the others, just in case. She led them towards the side exit confidently, waiting for a moment to look out the exit before sprinting for the car. Two men stood next to the car, hands up about to do something, fortunately, they crumpled to the ground suddenly and without warning. Courtesy of Kaitlyn's powers of course.

Rain poured down, it felt as if icicles were slamming into Kaitlyn's bare arms as she unlocked the car and hopped in. Zane held the door open for Jonas so he could throw in Lilith or something like that. So they could all get out of here. Other witches were fleeing the scene as well, some were crying, some were shaking with anger, some wtih fear, and a few were even throwing up. Zane knew exactly why, Lilith's name scared everyone. And maybe they thought she was dead now, but she could back with a vengance in her next life. And she'd probably kill those who were involved in hurting her.

What these people didn't know, was that Addilyn was alive and breathing, though for how much longer, Zane did not know. Even now she was losing a lot of blood and her breathing was anything but steady.

Once everyone was situated in the car, Kaitlyn took off, the tires squealing as they tried to gain purchase on the wet ground. Soon, they were off, the salty smell of blood filling the car. While Kaitlyn drove like a mad woman, trying to get out of the general vicinity of where the horrors had taken place.

Kit made sure to not hinder Jason's sliding at all, though he did turn for a moment and just set a little fire on the stairs behind them. It would stall any pursuers, and all they needed was time. Even now Kit could feel as Addilyn's body escaped, though her conciousness was in a completely different dimension.

As Kit was about to reply, he released a hacking cough, his small body shaking from the force of it. Damn.

It was already starting.

"She loves you too Jason, there is a lot to work out, but I can only hope that she'll recover and you two can get the peace you deserve. I-" he stopped as his body shook with another cough that left him gasping for air. "Shit."

Jonas hopped in the back seat with Addilyn, and began to tear of pieces of his jacket to staunch the blood flow. He made sure to check the words first, to be sure there wasn't anything stuck in them, and if there was, he pulled it out. Addilyn's blood was staining his hands, but by the end of it, the blood loss was slowed down. It should hopefully buy them one more time.

Once again Jonas thanked the fact that he did not have a weak stomach.

He couldn't do much about her shattered arm, save for wrapping up her arm with the remainder of his jacket, and making a makeshift splint. It wasn't the best, but it was better than having a limp and oddly crunchy arm flapping around.

"Kit... I don't know what is going on with you, but hold on bud. I'll get us out of here."

They had arrived at the base of the stairs, and Jason hurried out of the hall. Kit had to direct him out, but soon they were out of the creepy halls that reeked with death.

Jason looked around wildly, and headed to the fastest looking car. He set Kit down on the hood, "Keep a lookout," He told the cat, before starting on hot wiring the car.

Addilyn didn't make a single noise while Jonas tried to help her, though if her soul was inside her body she'd probably would've woken up and cried and screamed in pain. Not that she actually knew what was happening to herself, well to her body at least. Kaitlyn had sent Addilyn into the Void, or the 'in-between' in her own words. She was there to recover,at least that was what Addilyn thought but she wasn't quite sure what she was recovering from.

She heard her heart weakly pounding, knew she was alive, but couldn't understand how the hell she'd gotten into the place where she normally went when she died and was waiting to be reincarnated. Yet here she was, still alive, unaware of which life she was currently living, she just wanted to know what the hell was going on.

Kaitlyn flew down the roads, which was probably super dangerous considering the weather situation but she had to get away from the arena as soon as possibe. She had to get them to a place where Zane could safely teleport them without someone being able to find his magic and trace it to where they were staying.

After a good 20 minutes, Kaitlyn finally slowed down. "Zane, you can go ahead and teleport us now." The boy nodded, sitting up in his seat as he brought up his hands. His eyes closed as he moved his hands in some complicated way that Kaitlyn had a feeling was purely for theatrical effect. Despite that, the black rune markings appeared hovering in mid-air 20 feet away from the car. They apporached slowly and the rune opened up like a window. Just big enough for the car to fit through. It led to a pitch black tunnel with another window on the otherside, the hotel parking lot also just as flooded as everywhere else was "Hurry up please, I can't hold this for too long." Zane was already sweating and his brow was furrowed. Kaitlyn sped through the tunnel, and as soon as they were out on the other side, the window shut behind them. The rune fading away while Zane paled.

"Let's get Addilyn out of the car, quickly." Kaitlyn hopped out of the car, immediately met with the harsh, needle-like winds and rain tht felt more like hail. She hurried over to Jonas' side and opened the door for him, a worried expression on her face. Meanwhile, Zane was taking his time, as he felt extremely naseous after that teleport.

Kit sighed, which turned into another coughing fit. Was he really already dying? Addilyn hadn't even been in the Void for too long, there was no way that he was already deteriorating. Kit tried to ignore his own death by telling Jason where to go, though the hacking cough became more and more consistent. "Yup, that's my job. Lookout cat, make sure nobody else dies. Though I'm pretty bad at even that so I wouldn't trust me too much with that." Kit coughed again, he was losing it, he was being sacrastic. That was an Addilyn thing, not a Kit thing, maybe he wasn't dying, maybe he was literally just going insane.
