Rylie hesitated. Did he just...offer to let me go? She thought about it. She loved her studies at the university and loved criminology. But at the same time, she hated most of the other students and teachers there. They all irritated her, and the system was beyond corrupt. Should she really go back?

Rylie nodded. "Yeah, I got to the criminology university, but if I'm being honest, I hate it there." She scoffed. "Everyone's annoying, irritating, and slow. I could probably graduate early if I wanted to go back...which, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure I want to go back.

Rylie put her own book down and shrugged. "Maybe maybe not, but I know I don't want to go back there, that's for sure,."

Rylie shrugged again, "Never really knew them, to be honest. They were the reason why I went into criminology. Their case went cold a while ago. They never found the criminal that killed them. My father was a weapons specialist, while my mom was in the K-9 forces. They were shot with a couple of .22 bullets on a job."
