Luna sighed. "Now, we prepare for anything Fighter might do" she said as she lowered her head onto her paws. She grew tired from everything that happened that day. She heard Fang kindly tell others that the Alpha's weren't seeing anyone right then. She sighed hearing some get upset while others understood.

Hondo nodded and put his head on her shoulders, almost instantly falling asleep. What he didnt know was that he would dream. Hondo stood up, and looked at his surroundings. He was not in the Alpha's den anymore, but he was standing at the bank of a river. The current swept by at a fast rate, fish occasionally jumping out of the water, and landing in a beautiful dive. He looked around, and saw three pups wrestling. They seemed to be having a great time. Their fur was all sodden and wet, mud clinging to their paws. "Hey pups!" He said loudly, "Where are your parents?" The pups ignored him. Suddenly, a cream colored wolf, with black paws and a stripe on his side creeped up to the pups. Its blue and brown eyes focused on the pups. It was Fighter! "Hey you murderous mutt!" He howled, running up to Fighter and pounced. But instead of hitting force and fell right through, and rolled on the ground nearby. A shiver ran up his spine. Another shadow raced up towards Fighter, but thats when Fighter pounced.. His vision went black, and soon he was back in the Alpha's den. He picked up his head as a shadowy figure stood at the entrance of the den. He looked down to see Luna sleeping beside him. He looekd at the shadowt figure. He recogbized Kayleron. "Beware your fate.." He muttered. Hondo awoke with a start, Luna still lay next to him. He heaved a sigh. Why did Kayleron show him this? Beware your fate he had said, he had to get rid of Fighter. Edited at July 14, 2023 01:32 PM by Wolf Pride

Luna stirred slightly before she slowly opened her eyes. She started feeling hungry, realizing she hadnt eaten in a while. Slowly she stood up, wincing at the pain from her back leg. Once she was finally on her paws she looked at Hondo. "Are you hungry" she asked. She looked out of the den, hearing a few pack members heading out to hunt. She assumed Fang asked them to go, which would be helpful to keep food for the merged packs to eat.

Hondo felt Luna stir and soon she was on her feet. He tried to lighten the mood as he watched her wince. "Shouldnt you be resting?" He said in a mock scold, then soon gave a light sbicker. "But yes I am, and I promise I will catch you the best rabbit in the forest." He then got up and stretched, and after he gave her muzzle a quick lick in farewell he was off. He went over to the gathered wolves for the hunting party. "May I tag along?" He asked. Some of the faces turned upset and others looked away. But then he saw the familiar face of Sneaker, who was leading the hunt. "Of course you can!" He yelled, and took off into the forest, Hondo and the rest of the party close behind. . Fighter watched as he left with the party. He snuled, when he broke from the rest of the group to hunt, he woyld strike, and kill that stupid Alpha. He made the mistake of crossing in front of the Aplha's den as he plunged into the woods behind Hondo.

Luna smiled as Hondo left, though her smile faded when she saw Fighter. A low growl escaped her throat as Fang looked over. "Is something wrong Alpha" he asked her. "I dont trust him" she said and Fang nodded. "He tried to enter the den saying you knew he was coming in last night, but if you knew, you wouldnt have been asleep" he told her. Luna didnt like that at all. "Can you send a couple of wolves to follow. Only those you trust" she asked. Fang nodded. "Of course Alpha. And with you awake, may I rest after" he asked in return. When he saw Luna nod, he headed off, sending out two wolves to follow Fighter before going to rest himself.

Hondo branched off from the main party when a big juicy rabbit crossed his path. Perfect for Luna he thought then took off after it. The main party was busy searching for a deer they had caught the scent of earlier. Hondo dropped into a hunters crouch and carefully and quietly stalked the rabbit, which was nibbling on some berries. There was a slight noise behind him, but he dismissed it, to focused on the prey in front of him. He was about to pounce when a huge force barrelled right into him from behind. Hondo was thrown forward, and the rabbit ran away in fear. Hondo watched as the rabbit ran off, longing in his eyes. Then he turbed towards the wolf that had ran into him. He instantly growled upon looking at the mismatvhed blue and brown eyes of Fighter. Fighter wasnt going to lose this chance. Taking his moment of surprise he jumped onto Hondo, biting into his neck and pinning him to the ground. Hondo clawed at his shoulders and scratched his underbelly with his hind legs before using all the power he could muster, and threw Fighter off of him. Hondo got up and ran to Fighter pouncing on his chest, svratching on his muzzle before biting his neck. But Fighter wasnt finished, he wipped around and bit Hondo's hind leg so hard it made him yelp. Hondo released his grip, allowing Fighter to get up and sink his teeth into Hondo's hip. He pushed Hondo to the ground and turned him into his belly, exposing both his stomach and his neck fur. Fighter went for the kill strike to the neck, but Hondo was to fast. He twisted away and Fighter's jaws caught air. Hondo leaped onto Fighter's back and bit his scruff, dragging him to the ground and pinned him. Fighter was finished, his muzzle and neck bleeding Fighter lay there defeated. Hondo's topaz eyes burned into him. "I should kill you." He started, "I once trusted you as my second in command, but now I know it was a mistake. But Fighter, I will give you one last chance." He gave a low growl, "Run away, and never show your face here again, or you will be killed on sight." With that, Hondo released his grip and allowed Fighter to get up and run. But before running away Fighter turned, and with a new fire in his eyes he said, "You havent seen the last of me." And with that, he bounded away into the undergrowth. Hopefully never seen again. Hondo looked down at his right hip and leg, which were bleeding pretty badly. Hondo was exhausted, so he decided just to lay there and rest, hopefully anither pack member would find him.

The two wolves that followed Fighter had witnessed the fight, both too shocked to do much. Once the fight was over, they walked over to Hondo. "Can you walk" one asked as the other prepared to run back to the camp to get help if needed, and report to Luna what happened. The two wolves weren't large, clearly new to being warriors, and not strong enough to carry an injured wolf.

Hondo looked up at the newly trained warriors. He shook his head as he slowly got to his paws. "I'll be alright." He said, as he tested his hind leg. He looked towards the place Fighter had ran off to. Hopefully he was gone for good. He then turned back to his warriors and said, "Lead the way." Then he limped back towards camp behind them.

The two nodded, though one still ran off ahead to let Kayleron know. "Why didn't you kill him" the young male askedas he lead the way. "Anyone who attacks an Alpha without reason deserves it" he added. "Stories told of Luna's father doing so when he was about my age. But the alpha he took down needed to go. He was killing off male pups and trying to claim all females as his" he stated with a shudder at the thought.

"Trust me I know he deserved it." He said with a small snicker. "But soome feeling told me to let him live." He looked around as he hobbled back towards camp, favoring his hind leg. "We shiuldnt see him in awhile." He said, finally entering camp. Instead of going straight to Kayleron, he went straight to Luna. "Luna," he asked, poking hus gead in. "Are you in here?"
