Eveuc
Eveuc was running incredibly late. As he veered his jeep, he nearly collided with a passing demon. He couldn't spare a moment to apologize; he was rushing to his first class. As the new student, he needed to make an impression—something he would have preferred to avoid. After parking, he spotted a crowd in the lot. "Shit..." he muttered, ducking down and removing the key from the ignition. How did they know today was his attendance day? Were these demons anticipating his arrival? Gathering his belongings, he opened the door carefully when a voice surprised him, making him yelp.
" Are you lost, little angel?"
Eveuc, who was at least 5'9" tall, turned around and came face to face with a lady demon. Her style was interesting, to say the least. Dressed in all black, she gave Eveuc the impression that she might be one of the more alternative types. Her locs partially covered her face, and her plump lips formed a sly smile. "I'm anything but a little, sweetheart. What's with the crowd? You demons seem a little too eager to meet an angel," He rolled his eyes and walked toward the building.
Somehow she started following him, her red eyes peered into his face, "We were expecting... someone... less..." she trailed off playfully. Then, as Eveuc forced his way past her, she kept following him.
Seemingly, she wasn't going away," I have to be in my class, I already have to deal with certain eyes on me." He snorted. She shrugged," I'm making sure you aren't getting bullied your first day here."
Swinging around to shove his face in front of hers, Eveuc grinned widely," You think just because I'm an angel, that I'm holy? You demons are always the same, you think just because you sinned that you're better at your sins." He searched her hardened gaze," What's your name sweetheart." he asked.
" Nati. Nati Ezes."
" Eveuc..." He didn't bother giving her a last name.
She looked past the man and smiled," Don't tell me you're from class B2? " she almost seemed happy; Eveuc didn't even want to ask if that was her class as well. It was the last thing he needed—a clingy companion on his first day. But before he could even ask the question, Nati flashed him a knowing grin. “I have that class! We could be best buds!”
Eveuc winced as she suddenly threw her arms around his shoulder, anchoring herself to him as they navigated through the bustling halls of the college. He looked at the demons that stared at him, he could hear their whispers. He didn't let that stop him from giving every one of them the finger.
As they walked, his mind raced with worries about fitting in. How could a single angel change the world views, demons, and angels working side by side? Who thought this was a good idea? Why did his old college have to send him here? He had been more than comfortable in his previous environment, surrounded by fellow angels who understood him.
“Relax a little, Eveuc!” Nati's voice pulled him from his thoughts. “You’ll be fine! I know all the tricks to survive here.”
He let out a loud chuckle, “ Survive? You make it seem like I'm some prey." He narrowed his eyes toward the woman, she exchanged the same look--mhm. She doesn't seem so bad.
Nati just laughed, completely unfazed. “ You got me to protect you anyways. My sweet angel." She purred.
Eveuc forced a smile, unsure if her flirting was comforting or just plain terrifying. As they approached the classroom door, he allowed Nati to walk in first--she mostly just strode in, and soon enough he followed.
