~Davao~ Gender: Male Age: 4 years 6 Months Personality: Davao is considered well-versed in the realm of mind games/manipulation. He is swift and quick in his feet. Though most who have come across Davao think he is boring and rather strange he is just used to being a loner/traveler due to how he was raised and doesn’t usually like to converse with anyone he thinks would possibly attach themselves to him. For the very few he has ever cared about they would say he has a very calming voice, like a stream flowing smoothly in a clearing on a warm spring day. His language can be rather harsh to those he doesn’t know and when he gives advice he always sounds wiser than his years. Davao can get jealous rather easily though no one has ever seen this particular side of him. Davao is a mysterious wolf with a kind of broody attitude, often talking in an annoyed manner. He has a dark mind and even darker psyche. Rumors say he has murdered wolves in the past but it has never been proven. Physical Appearance: Davao is 22 inches tall and muscular with a slim build and fluffy dark black coat. On Davao's black coat it is dotted with dark brown russet chunks of fur along his back and sides with his paws, tip of his tail and a sort of crescent like patch next to his right eye that is dark red in color. History: Not much is actually known publicly amongst different wolf packs and loners about Davao's history because he is usually very elusive. But Davao did start out as a pup who wasn’t wanted, getting quickly abandoned before getting taken in by another strange female wolf who took him to a place high in a mountain range and very far away from his birth place and raised him all by herself. Yet never letting him leave the very small valley in the mountains. Multiple moons later a strange inferno happened in the middle of the night rocking the very core of his small home. Since he had never been outside of the valley he had no way to get out and his now frail adoptive mother couldn’t make the journey out and save them both. Eventually the inferno reached where they were and separated them. Due to the intensity of the disaster he ended up passing out trying to find his caretaker. Eventually he did wake but not in the valley he had called home all his life. He woke with burns under his belly and on the left side of his face, scaring him severely. (Find out where he ended up and why he is now a very elusive loner in the RP. Are the rumors about murder true? What happened the night of the inferno?) Origin of his name: Davao is said to have derived its name from the word Daba-daba, a region of flames or fire as recorded in the books of the early Jesuit priests. Relationships: Parents: Unknown? Siblings: Unknown? Mate: Has never had a permanent mate.

Honey was laying in the cold floor of the metal cage. The room was filled with similar enclosures and she could hear the barks and whimpers of other canines. The room was dark with only a few blinking lighted and a glowing red sign above the secondary door. The hum of distant machinery filled took over as the barking quieted as the animals tried to sleep. Honeys fur was slightly matted after days of bearly moving. Her leg muscles cramped. There was room for her to stand was just one step of moving, she shut her eyes tight and tried to ingore everything but the darkness behind her eyelids.

Davao shakes his dark fur to shake off the snow falling from a branch above his head. It was the middle of the winter season and he was close to finding the place where he assumed the missing wolves from the area had been being held. Usually during the winter season there would be a small decline in the wolf population across the nation due to scarce prey but recently there have been whole families and small packs disappearing. Though Davao was usually a loner he felt a sort of connection to wolves who have been losing their family through force so he has been tracking multiple trails these days. Blinking slowly he felt the scar on the right side of his face as he remembered the terrible events that had taken his family from him. He had been in the same spot for hours listening, watching, smelling. Just waiting for the right time to investigate. Once he rescued these scared wolves he would finally be able to disappear again so he would never be found. After waiting for a little while longer he slowly began making his way to a backdoor that had a small wooden latch that was deteriorating due to the weather. As he reached the door he paused and took record of his surroundings before getting on his hind legs and reaching up with his front paws and teeth and began tearing at the wet piece of wood.

Honey shifted her position as much as she could and stopped trying to sleep. She cracked her eyes open and stared blankly around the dark room with blinking lights. Alone with her thoughts she began to wonder if she would ever get out of here. Some wolves left and never came back but no one knew what happened to them. Did they escape or let go? There was a few other options but she didn't want to know what could happen to them. Better not think of that.

Eventually Davao weared down the wood enough so he walked a few paces away, running full speed at the door and throwing his body into it. As soon as he made contact the door latch snapped and he rolled into the building landing on his left side and knocking the breath briefly out of him. Having no time to catch his breath he quickly got up and hid behind a stack of empty wooden crates sitting against the wall in the first small room. Staying absolutely silent he peaked around the dark and cold room. All that was in the small entrance was the stack of crates and a strange pile with clothes covering it and based on the smell he didn’t need to know. Moving out of his hiding place he looked to his left where light was filtering through white plastic strips hanging from the doorway. Listening he could hear the sad, desperate and strange cries of wolves from the room along with the strange sound of machines. Moving the plastic strips away he walked slowly in the room. It wasn’t a big room but it was very crowded with cages stacked along all four walls. One of the first cages by that doorway held three wolf pups maybe about only four weeks old and only one was barely alive and whining at the front of the cage. Sadly he moved toward the rest of the room. There were wolves of many different ages and looked to be from all around the nation. In the middle of the room there was a small exam table and an array of small machines, knives, needles and syringes. Near the back was another door but it looked to be made of metal and he knew he would never know the horrors of that back room because he would never be able to get in.

Honey heard something. Her head shot up from where it was resting on the slightly matted fur on her paws. Her eyes where opened wide.
In the dim light she though she could see the silhouette of a wolf? Did they escape? But how? She peered through the bars trying to get a better view. How did they get out. You couldn't exactly chew the bars. Most of the wolves including her had tried that ages ago. Honey tilted her head and started to stand in doing so her long overgown nails scratch against the shiny metal floor of her cage.

Davao’s eyes scanned the many faces in the room. Some were very aware of his presence and some looked dazed, confused, and fatigued. The room smelled almost as rancid as the first room he had been in. “Don’t be scared,” he said calmly into the dark room. “I’ll get you guys out of here.” Looking at all the cages he noticed that most of the cages were metal and those that were wood held the youngest of the bunch. Looking at the hefty metal cages he could tell there would be no way for these wolves to get out from the inside since the bars were very thick with barely any space between them. On the outside there was a thick metal latch and all he had to do was use some force with his muzzle to move it up. First he would start with the older wolves who still had their consciousness intact by trying to talk to them before deciding if he would let them out. Now he was in front of a small cage that held what he could smell was a female wolf. He couldn’t see her that well through the bars of the cage but he could tell in her bright violet eyes that she was scared. “Hello there” he whispered as he laid down in front of her.

Honey's shoulder fur bristled slightly at the mysterious voice. She could see the wolf better now, most notably the russet spot near his eye. She had never seen that on a wolf before. It was quite unique. " Hello," Honey said uncertainly. She didn't know if she could trust this wolf. Bizarrely as it seemed he could be on the humans side. How? She didn't know. But minds think weird thoughts sometimes. She calmed her mind and started to assess the wolf more. Male, he didn't seem exactly threatening on the floor. Strange wolf.
