-A Week Later-
It'd been a week since Evelyn's first case with a rookie. She'd become more open with Florian, and he'd been getting better. They'd had a few more cases here and there, but nothing to major. But a new one had come in a few days ago, and all the evidence was pointing to a gang. And although the captain had tried to convince Evelyn into dropping the case and allowing the FBI to handle it, the detective had refused. There had been a lot of arguing and bargaining between the captain and the detective. But in the end, she'd managed to convince the captain to let her team have this case.
Now they had a new lead. A abandoned warehouse where apparently the gang was laying low for a bit. Now, Evelyn wasn't 100% sure the lead was solid, but she'd been taught to follow every lead and so she'd rounded up her team, the four rookies, and some more officers and set off for the warehouse. Now equipped with a police vest with a gun and flashlight in hand. The team was inside the warehouse. After a moment of thinking, Evelyn ordered the team to split up. To cover more ground. She'd taken the furthest corner and had stuck the rookies near the easy exit just in case they needed to flee.
Evelyn shines her flashlight around. Paige's voice crackles in the earpiece that the team was also equipped with. "I don't see anything." Evelyn opens her mouth to answer, but as she turned the corner, she saw a dark shape. Before she could do anything, the dark shape moved, swinging something at her. The pain exploded in her face at once and she staggers backward. Raising her gun, but then someone else pounced on her from behind. Evelyn opens her mouth to yell for help, but the person who had leaped on her stuffed a gag in her mouth. Then they took the earpiece out of her ear and destroyed it.
"Drop the gun."
Evelyn refuses and she feels a knife at her throat,"Drop it." Reluctantly she obeys and the guy on her back slides off, keeping the knife at her throat until her wrists had been secured. "Grab her back up and drop it with the other one, then let's go before her team comes to find her." She watches as the first man crouches down and takes her back up gun from the holster on her ankle before dropping it with her main gun.
With no other choice, all she could do was walk as the two forced her out one of the already open side exits and into a car, before the car raced away. Evelyn glaring hatefully at the two people in the front seat who were ignoring her.
