It's the year 2023, and the Ravik pack has hit their peak. Their peace treaties with other packs in different regions hold strong and steady, and their territory thrives. Nothing threatens them, not even that beast that they had to take care of a little over a year ago now. Pack members have started to get civilian jobs out in the town, finding it better to be out there rather than at the pack house all day when the waters are still. The pack's alpha, Ikaris, is seemingly the same reckless man as always. Life wouldn't be life if he didn't manage to stir up some sort of worry, right?

That is exactly what happens one fateful night.

It started off as just one drink at the local bar in town, just one. As always, that one turned into two, then three, four, five.... it never took him long to succumb to the addicting liquid. This time, instead of picking a fight he could win, the werewolf managed to pick a fight with someone he most definitely could not beat. At first, the stranger's superhuman strength slipped his radar. It wasn't until he was quite literally thrown across the room that he realized he had royally fucked up. Ikaris had only heard about creatures like these in stories from his parents and grandparents, they assured him that they were long gone. Yet here he was, laying on the floor as a vampire looked down on him.

Towering above the werewolf was an auburn-haired man, his brown eyes flashing a crimson red as he smiled. Two fangs slid out from their hidden place under his gums, "See you later, wolfy."

The Rules

1.) please use 3rd person pov
2.) type at least one paragraph when roleplaying
3.) keep the chit-chat in the discussion thread please
4.) cussing is allowed, just don't do it every 2 seconds.
5.) hate the character, not the player.
6.) it's preferred that you don't post back and forth with someone constantly (ex: User 1 posts, User 2 responds, User 1 posts again, User 2 posts again) It's nice to wait a little to let other people post! If it's been like... a day or longer and no one else has posted, then I don't mind if you post again.
7.) have fun! this is the most important rule of all. naturally.

This roleplay will start in the morning, approximately 8am. It is cool outside, around mid 60 to 70 degrees. The sky is partially cloudy, there's a light breeze, and a chance for rain in the afternoon/evening. Ikaris is currently not at the pack house, whether or not the pack is aware that he left in the middle of the night is up to them honestly. He'll be returning to the pack house in the morning/start of the roleplay of course.

The pack (and loners) will eventually find out about vampires. After all, the vampires are going to feed on living things to stay alive. Whether or not they're animals or humans is entirely up to the vampires themselves.

Solomon "Saul" Hale // Male // 23 // Werewolf // M: Open!

---

Was the sun up? Yes it was. When was it up? Oh around 6:30 am. How would he know this? The fact that the broken blinds resting under the windowsill let in the full power of the sun the moment it rose up over the horizon and the beige walls reflected that sunlight like it was full of mirrors. Not that Saul minded too terribly, he was used to this by now. Of course he was.

It was fairly common to be up before the rest of the pack--mostly because he was never sure who had done what during the night and it was a good way to be prepared for someone coming back to the pack house injured in some way, shape or form. Most of the others had gone out into the town and gotten jobs of some sort. Saul was one of them as well. He had Addie to manage the pack house and he'd go into town and help with the Emergency Room Medicine every so often. Usually his schedule was a ten or so hour shift two days per week. He was part time, after all.

Today was not one of those days, however. Which let the medic of the pack sift through what he had in his closet.

His room was a small room adjacent to the "medical wing" in the pack house. The much larger room was full of cot-like beds and cabinets and sinks and the likes. A medicine wing. Which was the most common place to find him.

He crouched down to sift through one of the cabinets, making a mental note of things he needed to restock in the main room with the inventory he had in the closet. Then, he'd have to update the numbers in his books. He did everything by hand and by paper. It wasn't that he didn't trust "modern" technology, but that he was just too lazy to actually move it over and paper trails were easier to follow.

He knew how to do the technology and whatnot from the town. He just preferred the old school way.

Saul stood up with a faint noise, stretching out and huffing before he made his way to the closet and went on the usual morning routine. An hour and a half later, he shuffled out of the room and toward the kitchen, stifling a brief yawn.

Faelin Kelly | Pack Werewolf | Mentions:

Saul (Dir.) House members (Indir.)

The morning had been rather uneventful, which was not common at all in this house; a peaceful calm rested over the entire building when Faelin awoke. It was early, but the sun was already up, flickering through the blinds and creating an aesthetically pleasing dapple of sunlight across his room. From under the dark sheets of his bed, Faelin arched his back in a long stretch, feeling the bones in his knees pop as he extended himself. A soft grunt pushing through his parted lips before the man rolled onto his side, yanking himself up from the comforting warmth of the pillows.

His usual routine of showering, dressing and plodding down the stairs to the kitchen proceeded as usual. As he stepped into the room, he reached up behind the door and pulled down the apron from the hooks. Fastening the white frilly thing to his front, cinching it around his waist securely, he set about preparing some type of breakfast.

Feeding a pack of wolves was not an easy task, though others enjoyed the task, Faelin saw it as a duty rather than a pleasure. However, the look of satisfied members of his pack did warm his chest a little bit. Besides, he did not like the way the others made a mess of the kitchen first thing in the morning.

Faelin was completely settled into his routine, a few frying pans laid out across the stove top. A collection of eggs, bacon and mushrooms steadily simmering away. The amount of food the group went through was criminal, every two days one of them was running down to the shops for eggs. The one thing they were never short of was meat. Though a whole rack of venison was not exactly morning food, so on occasion they sampled from the local store and butcher.

The soft yawn of the door to the kitchen opening made Faelin glance over his shoulder from where he was stationed, spotting the familiar figure of their healer. A crooked smile lined his lips, tilting towards the left.

“Good morning, you’re here in time for it to still be hot.” Faelin mused as he turned to face Saul, dusting his hands on the apron. The house-wife-esque garment strapped tightly over his black clothing, a jarring contrast, not that Faelin cared. The apron served a purpose, no matter what it looked like. “I hope you’re hungry.” He leaned down to retrieve a plate from the pile he had set up. Smoothly sliding it onto the counter before he dished out a portion of his cooking, generous in the sizing.

“Here you go.” Faelin passed the plate across the counter towards where Saul stood, offering another lop-sided smile. “There’s toast and other stuff over there, if you want it.” He gestured to the other end of the counter where a plate of toast was set up with fruit and other condiments, turning back to his cooking he began to slide the food onto various plates in preparation for the other members. Members who no doubt would smell the bacon cooking from miles away and come traipsing through the door at any moment.

Andromeda Orchid | Lone Vampire | Mentions:

Duffy (Indir.) Open

The brisk air stung her skin as she stepped outside of her small apartment, descending the metal stairs in the alleyway. Rugged up in her leather riding gear, under one arm her black helmet caught the early morning sun. The shop was supposed to be open today, however there were no scheduled appointments, much to the dismay of her wallet. She was often preferred by the townsfolk as she took cash payments only with a nice discount, easier to keep her money once she starts to look a little too young for her age.

At least the lack of appointments meant that she could carry out her mundane chores. First one on the list was obtaining supplies, she had run out of spark plugs and somehow managed to misplace her safety goggles. Something she did frequently, often finding them a week or so after buying a new pair. In the back of the garage is a goggle graveyard, smashed and split plastic that she keeps for some reason.

As she passed the front window of the shop, peering in she had remembered to turn the lights off the previous night before she had ventured into the surrounding forest to satiate her thirst. It was convenient living on top of her own shop, it made the commute to work a lot shorter.

Lifting the rolling doors to the garage with a mighty heft, though from afar it looked like a simple flick of one hand. She laid eyes on her beloved bike, a feline smile gracing her features before she set about leaving. The turn of the key made the beast purr beneath her, it was one of the best feelings in the world. At least in her opinion.

Now Andromeda was speeding down the straight road that headed into the main strip of town, the roaring of her engine ricocheting off of the quiet morning air. Strapped to her back was a backpack, prepped and ready to be stuffed with all the things she needed that day. Completely covered from the growing strength of the sun, she felt rather comfortable as she zipped along. Her hands clad in leather creating a sleek suited appearance.

As she continued on her way, Andromeda couldn’t help but peek around the road a little. A little wriggling thought in the back of her mind, was her little motorcyclist friend out this fine morning? Sometimes they were, sometimes they weren’t. She couldn’t predict when they popped up, they just appeared beside her briefly before ripping away in a taunt for her to follow. As much as it lit a fuse in her, Andromeda would be the first to admit that she lived for the thrill of their occasional races.

Ciaran | Male | Lone Vaewolf | Mentions:

His Boss (Indir.)

Ciaran groggily woke up to the alarm blaring on the nightstand beside his bed, his arm emerging from the sea of plushies and slamming his hand down to silence the alarm on his phone. With a groan, he rolled onto his side, the plushies moving with him, drowning him entirely of softness with a few scented ones burning into his nostrils. He exhaled, his mouth immediately filled with the fake fur of an axolotl plushie lying beside his head. His mouth clamped shut and recoiled back. “Sorry,” he muttered softly to the plushie, whose beady eyes were looking at him with such empty intensity. Silently accusing him of assaulting it with its mouth unprovoked. Ciaran frowns, turning the axolotl plushie away from so it faces the wall, before working on carefully removing the rest from his body. It took quite a bit, but he freed himself from his fuzzy engagement, heading downstairs to get himself something to eat.

Walking by more of his plushie collection; all of them scattered around the place like they were the ones paying the bills and he was the intruder. Ciaran entered the kitchen, making sure to pet one of the snake plushies hanging from the ceiling on his way there. Ciaran opened his freezer to see what he had. Frozen meat. Great. All of it was meat. Now, time to check the fridg- also meat. He should really expand more on his diet instead of just meat. With a sigh, he grabbed a packaged wrapped raw steak from the fridge and a frying pan. Getting ready to make himself some steak and steak (would’ve been eggs if he bothered to stay at the grocery store longer) then prepare for the rest of the day until his shift tonight. Ciaran removed the plastic wrap, and immediately, the smell of raw meat and blood intruded into his nose. His mouth wetter than the ocean itself as his fangs steadily increased in size as he eyed the raw delicacy in his hand. The copper eyes illuminating in the dark with such hungry intensity it puts shrews to shame. The pupils dilated, turning into slits as he prolonged staring at the food in his hand as his claws that sprung from his fingers dug into it.

He was about to chow down on it, yet he paused when he noticed something staring at him from the dark. A singular cow plushie posted on a table in the hallways directly in front of the entryway to the kitchen; gazing at him with a judgemental look. Quietly calling him an animal from the way he’s behaving, which is rich coming from a cow plushie that can’t even talk…or judge anyone for that matter. Ciaran snapped back to reality, his face fell as guilt overcame him. Him and the cow plushie having a staring contest from across the kitchen to the halls. Ciaran’s appearance reverts back to normal, the ferocity he once displayed diminishing, with his human empathy clouding his sense of beastie cravings. With a soft exhale, he placed the steak down and washed his hands, then strolled over to the cow plushie. His hands now cleaned, he gave the cow plushie a few pets, before turning it around so it faced away from him. “Sorry,” his voice gentle like a breeze, a small barely noticeable frown on his face.

A soft huff left him, scolding himself for his shameful actions as he re-entered the kitchen once again. He combed his fingers through his hair, his fingers then moved to twist the piece of white hair that adorned the dark locks. A habit he does when he’s anxious. Now that his mind was clear from exhaustion (and a bit of guilt), he was able to remember what will happen at work tonight. A big event that the owner of the House of Cards planned, and he could already tell that it would be one busy ass night. Socializing with people is bad enough for him, but when a mass of people are drunk, then it’s basically purgatory. Him standing behind the bar and unable to leave until his break, serving more and more drinks to a stampede of partygoers, being flirted with by people way out of his league as they screamed at him to talk over the loud music blaring in the background. By the Fangs, why did he apply for the job?

His eyes shifted to his paycheck that he left on the dining room table from last week, noticing the triple digits on the check, plus the $500 tips he earned just working three days was convincing him that it was all worth it in the end. More money equals more plushies to buy, after all. “Just hold on, Ciaran,” he reassured himself, “it’s just one night.” He felt a sense of reassurance fill his mind; granting him the confidence he needed for tonight. Just then, he felt his phone buzz in his pocket, so curiously, he took it out to read it. A message from his boss popping up on the lockscreen that reads: “Good news! The event will last for an entire week!” Ciaran’s face couldn’t have gone even paler as he read those haunting words - staring at it like they were some forbidden ancient verses he shouldn’t have read. Damn it. He had celebrated too soon and jinxed himself.
