Coren glanced at the portal curiously, then looked away. He... honestly, didn't know what had possessed him to sign up for this... expedition, but he was in it now; no backing out. He was positioned away from the others, shooting a withering glare everytime someone got too near. Another thing, he isn't one to be friendly, the opposite, morel like; but yet, he decided that working on a team would be nice. He rolled his eyes at that thought. Shifting his weight, he felt both impatience and something like dread building. Curiosity and wariness both warred inside him.

The young man was very tempted to go through the portal without the others, if only to see what was on the other side without company. Of course, that was a... bad idea in most terms; what if he was attacked? Or worse? With no allies around? But... it was a tempting thought. He decided to wait a few more minutes after a moment of indecision. After the few minutes, he gave a barely audible sigh, swept a surreptitious glance to make sure nobody was watching, then started edging nearer to the portal in his usual silent manner. Finally, he was close enough, and he stepped into the portal.
