There was a battle weight chart I can't seem to find but to summarize it, LW wolves (70 - 109 lbs) have a +5 to +2 agility boost at the cost of battle, and HWs have a +5 damage boost but -5 agility boost. It's very confusing if I'm being honest

Finyx Brooks - female - 17 - scout - snowy owl - mentions: Sabine, Mike, Laark, Tallinn, Sadina

After picking up her bow Nyx had flown back to the fight scene, to her dismay Sam had run into the danger but seemed to have overpowered hunter; but the others weren't so lucky, Sabine was attacking the hunter Sam had pinned while Mike and... Tallin? were both lying on the ground seemingly poisoned.
She had landed on a tall birch impossible for someone to climb without gear, and shifted into her human form.
She let her thick brown hair cover her face, though no one would see her clearly through all the leaves of the birch tree, but she needed to be safe.
She nocked an arrow and drew the string, ready to kill the hunter if she did anything to harm her brother.

She was aiming at the hunter when a new one appeared holding a sword, she narrowed her eyes and re-positioned.
That's when the hunter Sam had pinned escaped but to her surprise she didn't attack, instead she grabbed the other hunter and ran.

She quickly turned into her owl form to land on the ground before turning human again; Sam was curled into a ball seemingly in pain, but she didn't see nor smell any blood; he was fine.
If she didn't know how her brother reacted to pain she would have been worried, but she'd hurt him plenty of times in sparring matches.

She looked from Sabine to the others before shaking her head, "They may not have time, first the antidote then we leave, you keep guard" she was glad she was an owl, her ears were one of the best ones out there, she'd heard everything.
"Little spy" She heard Sam mutter as he slowly got up, seemingly recovered.
"Half for Tallin and Half for Mike" Sam walked towards the young man first, he seemed to be the weakest she stopped him, "They're hunters, why would they give you the antidote, what if its just more poison?" before Sam even spoke she knew what his reply would be.
"They'll die either way, but if its possible then I'm going to save them" and with that he gave both shifters half of the vial each.

Nalaea Leogwyn - Female - 22 - Hidden Shifter/Horse Breeder - White Panther - mentions: Horace, Michael, Dreyvon, and Ren

Nala stepped out of the house walking towards her brother and the other two men. She paused her steps catching sight of the bird upon the railing of the fence. She paused her stride watching as Dreyvon caught her gaze and then the bird.

"Why hello...It seems this is the place to be." He looked towards Michael and Horace before looking back at the puffed up bird. His eyes caught sight of the scratch and he motioned Nala over. "It appears this one is injured...I will go grab the bandages out of the supply in the stable." He disappeared back into the building as Nala moved to take his place folding her arms.

An eyebrow raised seeing the man that had helped her just a few moments before by giving her food. "Thank you for the meal. Granted tails aren't always the best but that was a thoughtful gesture." She turned her attention over to the bird stepping closer to inspect the creature.

Michael watched Dreyvon head back the way they had just walked and noticed Nala standing where the man had been. "Good lord, no wonder people get confused with you two. You move as one." He folded his arms looking between Horace and then others running a hand through his hair. Maybe it would have been a saner idea to stay at the bakery with his mother instead of joining his friend to look for a horse.

Dreyvon was soon standing by his sister with a basket filled with medical supplies that they usually kept stocked in case something happened to a horse or one of them. Nala smiled at her brother before kneeling down with him on the ground pulling out bandages and a small blade for cutting. She looked between Horace and Michael before speaking.

"Are either one of you good with bandaging small creatures? I can handle bobcats but anything smaller like a bird I have a little difficulty with. Big animals are no problem but small delicate ones...well that is another story." Dreyvon nodded at his sister's words noticing Michael put his hands up.

"I am a simple baker. Horace or my mother are usually wrapping up my cuts and scrapes." His dark green gaze looked to his friend. "Looks like you may be the one for the job." He teased nudging his friend forward.

(sorry if this doesn't make sense. I keep getting distracted.)

Tallinn | Female | 18 | Hidden shifter | M: Laark, Mike, Sam, Sadina

Tallinn was near frozen. She vaguely saw the hunters vanish. She saw Sabine, out of the corner of her eye. She saw Nyx, Sam, Mike. She saw them, but she barely recognized them. Then suddenly, she saw a vial of something being handed to her.

She looked up. Sam held it out to her. Instinctively, she wished to slink away. It has been so long since someone had offered her anything, except perhaps tossing her a small bag of coins for a freshly caught buck. She squinted, then reached out, hand shaking. She took the vial, then realized, with a twinge of alarm, she would have to pull down her bandana. She turned away, did so, took half the vial, then pulled her bandana back upwards.

She could feel her mind and body beginning to function again.

The girl jerked upwards, then immediately her knees buckled, and she found herself on the dirt again.

Stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Tallinn was always cautious, intelligent, wary. She didn't know what drove her to attack - perhaps that she couldn't stand the thought of a hunter killing a shifter. But she nearly died in the process, dragged other shifters into it, and the slash across her collar bone burned in fiery agony.

I need to get out of here.

She stood, leaning against a tree for support, catching her breath. At least the rest were alright. If she hadn't attacked, maybe Sam could've gotten out of this. For some reason, she felt as though this was all her fault.

Perhaps the hunters were coming back.

"You all need to get away from here," she said quietly. She rarely spoke, only when neccessary, in fear of saying the wrong thing. "They're probably going to come back."

Tallinn remained pressed against the tree for support, breathing heavy. She would go on as she always had - alone. They mattered more, at least in this moment. She could distract the hunters if they came back, buying them time. She trusted her brain to get her out of whatever situation she got into. Yet her body didn't seem to be functioning properly - well. No matter. She would figure it out. She wouldn't show weakness. She pushed away from the tree, then immediately reached her hand out again. She could quite stand on her own - yet.

"You all can run. I'll buy you time." Again, her voice was nervous, quiet, as always.

Horace Umbra / M / 23 / Fisherman / Polar Bear / Mentions: Michael, Nala, Dreyvon, Ren

Horace watched as Ren descended onto the perch. He could see the girl who went by ‘Nala’ approaching. “Time to strike a deal,” Horace muttered to Ren, automatically realizing he had a wound on his thigh. He looked towards the female, placed his hand on the back of his neck once more. “It was no biggy, really,” Horace left out the part that the other ends of those fishes were eaten by his father, in which he really just fed her leftovers. But it was nice to see someone appreciate his acts. He smiled at Dreyvon as he watched the masculine figure fade into the barn and come back out, handing it to Nala.

“I uh, I think I’ll mend him,” He watched as the bird had a look of pleasure as Nala tried to mend to his leg wound. “Yea, most say I’m pretty good a wounds, say, what herbs do you use to heal most large cats?” Horace tried to spark a conversation as he lightly grabbed the bandage from Nala and applied it onto Ren’s leg. “It’s mended now, you’ll be fine to turn back,” slight irritation filled Horace’s voice as he backed up a bit, watching the bird transformed into a colossal tall man, patting the mended leg. He wore loose leather with parts of armor attached, a large pack full of items, and his wild red hair was all over the place.

It looked as though the fence would break under the pressure. Ren shook Nala’s hand and greeted himself, “Ren, Ren Yo, nice to see ya!” He was a bit too enthusiastic with his words, but, being taller than Horace, he planted his arms around Horace’s neck pulling Horace closer to himself. Horace slightly nudged away, giving Ren the glare that said; ‘personal space, bitch’ and Ren quickly let go. “Just got back from my trip, how are ya Michael? Horace? Ah never mind, ignore it, whatchya guys doing here?” Horace was honestly annoyed around super enthusiastic and social people, so this made him quietly scream in his head.

Laark Umbra / F / 19 / Hunter / Mentions: Sam, Sadina

She quickly glanced back to watch as the man gave the antidote to both of them. Relief flooded her, he somewhat trusts her, and that saved his friend’s lives. Laark was all about immobilizing the enemy in which they admit defeat. Yet, when in combat training it’s all about tiring the other one out until they gave up. She chuckled at Sadina’s reply. “Years’ worth of hard training makes you get like this,” Lark slowed her pace as they reached a calm creek. She sat beside it and looked around.

“I think we’re clear, keep watch…” Laark quickly took her cloak off to reveal tight leather with patches of lightweight armor. She cupped her hands into the creek, the sting of her jagged daggers had gotten her well. Luckily she made the gash look like an arrow’s form. “There were too many of them, the one that pinned me said he had a pack that was arriving already, I suppose the wolf that was stalking up from behind you was one of them,” Laark flushed the water onto her chest, cleaning out the wound before sticking a few bandages onto it. She slipped back on her green cloak and stood to her feet.

Artem // Male // 17 // Dhole // Hidden // Mentions: Tallin, Nyx, Sam
Artem waited until the two had passed by before emerging from the shadows. He kept his hood up and a lower piece of fabric that covered his mouth. The only visible feature about him was his mischievous green eyes. He made no sound as he moved forward until he was in the small clearing, observing the damage as to what had happened.
Artem wasn't really known by many of the other shifters, most of them had heard of him though, whether or not they remembered . He was a theif and that made news in a small town. They knew nothing about him except that he always went undetected until the robbery was done. There had been only one description of him ever, and it was as simple as a small hooded figure. Granted it was a year ago.

Anyone that knew Artem though knew he was a bit troublesome. He was a valuable asset, his skill with a bow and arrow or his resourcefulness, but he had a problem with authority and it was a tad obvious.

The girl said that the others should leave her, she didn't look like she was doing so good at the moment.
"Coming back? Probably not so soon. After the trouble they just had they'll probably regroup first. You've got a little while before they come searching again." He said with a little quip to his voice.

Mary-ann - Female - 7 - Human - Mentions: None, Open

A young, black-haired girl sat in the field with pens full of livestock. The girl sat and watched the sheep as they nibbled the grass, cutting it short. Mary-ann watched in silence as well as listening to the soft sounds of the other livestock pens. The cows let out soft moos and there were even pig snorts that sometimes caught Mary-ann’s attention. Mary-ann’s mother, Hannah, had been left alone since early this morning. She had told her that she was going to the market to check the current sales of any of the products she had left there had been sold. Hannah never left Mary-ann alone for longer than half a day at most, and that half-day had seemed to fly by.
Mary-ann was growing impatient for her mother’s return. She was bored and wished to play with someone. She had been long left without a friend at home since her sheep-dog, Jackal had passed away. Mary-ann was devasted and her mother had promised her that they would get a new dog one day. The young began to shift in her spot. First, she wiggled about, then she began to lay on her sides and digging in the dirt. Jabbing her fingers and causing small holes. It didn’t take long for Ann to get bored with this. Eventually, she got up and brushed off the dirt patches that had clung to her cotton dress.

“Good-bye sheep! I’m going inside now!” She called to the fluffy creatures before quickly sprinting inside. The house Mary-ann and Hannah lived in was a lovely and rustic cottage. It was old in age, but the cottage stood strong. The furniture inside the house was covered in quilts, stitched together in Ann’s mother’s free time. Hannah left them out in the case a guest stayed over for the night which happened more often than not. She even let wild animals take shelter in barn during the night. Mary-ann was often worried about this, as some of these animals had been predators. She feared for the life of the cows, pigs, and sheep. Yet, in the morning they were always still there.

Mary-ann peeked out the front window of her home, hoping to see her mother approaching the door. Disappointment filled the young child as her dreams did not come true. Finally, Mary-ann’s patience wore thin. She decided it was time to take matters into her own hands. The market wasn’t far away and Mary-ann knew the way. Maybe she could go find her mother? Yes, she would go. Yet, what if she got lost on the way and was unable to find her way home. Mary-ann just simply couldn’t wait any longer for her mother’s return. It took her a few moments before she gathered her courage to open the front door.
“I’ll be back soon!” She called to nobody before shutting the door behind her. From there she was on her way to the market.

Nalaea Leogwyn - Female - 22 - Hidden Shifter/Horse Breeder - White Panther - mentions: Horace, Michael, Dreyvon, and Ren

Nala watched the small bird turn into a man that was even taller than Dreyvon. Her eyes widened in slight shock before looking over at Horace to answer his question. "We use cinnamon and turmeric but if we are low on those we use Antheum graveolens or Eucalyptus." Dreyvon was putting the supplies back into the basket.

"Pleasure to meet you Ren. I am Nalaea." She folded her arms across her chest watching the interactions of those around her. Dreyvon had disappeared back into the stable returning with a simple rope halter motioning for Michael to follow him to a pasture just a few steps farther from the group. Michael followed standing at the gate when Dreyvon slipped the halter on a taller grey gelding pulling the horse out of the pasture letting Michael close the gate keeping others in the pen.

"I think this boy would do good for your friend. He has a lot of heart but got too mean as a stallion." The gelding lowered his head standing almost shoulder to shoulder with the man holding his rope. Michael nodded taking in the slender but sturdy legs heading back to the other three. "I have been good Ren. Other than your leg, how about yourself?"

Nala quirked an eyebrow seeing her brother return with the gelding and looked between Horace and Ren. "I take it you are looking for a horse." She moved over to the horse running her hand down the horse's neck inspecting as she moved. Dreyvon watched his sister before looking at the two taller men. "What do you think of this boy? He has gentled right down after being gelded."

A soft nicker left the horse as Nala rubbed behind his ears. "Not all need to be stallions to be considered a good horse. Some are better as geldings since they get their minds back...unlike some men." She muttered as Dreyvon chuckled. Michael leaned against the fence feeling pretty small next to all of the taller people.

Samuel Brooks - male - 20 - game hunter - arctic wolf - mentions: Laark, Mike, Tallin, Nyx, Sabine

Sam sighed with relief when the antidote started working, but Tallin was still weak from the cut. At her words he shook his head, "We don't leave our kind" he looked to Sabine, "Can you carry her till we reach a safe place? I can carry Mike; Nyx can keep an eye on the hunters" he hated putting his sister at risk but she was a scout for a reason.

He stiffed when someone new appeared but realized it was one of the hidden shifters... Artem? wasn't he a theif?
At the shifters words ne nodded, "The hunters wont be back for a while, but they'll be back. I know a safe place not far from here, but we need to go now" he gave Tallin a glare, "no buts, we all go."

"Artem?" he asked, still unsure if that was the boys name- so any shifters wore cloaks and masks it was hard to tell which was which.
"I want you to keep watch while we move these two" he nodded to Mikes unconcious body and to Tallin, who still seemed to be struggling to stand.
"Nyx you watch the hunters."
Now he had to wait and see if Sabine could hold Tallin.

Tallinn | Female | 18 | Hidden shifter | M: Laark, Mike, Sam, Artem

Tallinn glanced up at the shifter - Artem? As her mind began to function again properly, his words did seem rational. However, it would only take a scant few minutes before the reached the hunter's camps, then advance guards would be sent out to take the shifters down. Tallinn knew their speed, their cruelty. They would be back, and they had to move either way.

Sam spoke, then glared pointedly at her as he persisted on taking her along with them. Tallinn returned the gaze, raising her chin defiantly. But she could not keep her fingers from toying nervously with the edge of her cloak, know speckeled with dots of crimson blood. She should probably stem the flow from her cut, but that could come later. As of right now, she was fine. More or less. No, she didn't have a death wish by wanting to stay behind - but being around others while she was weak unnerved her just the slightest bit. Besides, she had already analyzed the situation. It would take them about five minutes to return to the hunter's ecampment, five minutes to send a group, and another five minutes for them to return to the spot. The shifters would have left tracks, so Tallinn would have paced in all directions, messing with the trails the group would have left. Then she would have made her way to the river, slogged upstream, then got out - and then, she would have dragged the hunters away as well as throwing them off her trail.
Then everything could go back to normal.

Tallinn took her weight off the tree. The antidote did seem to be working.

"I can walk," she managed to say. Her progress was slow, and she eventually paused. She could walk, but it would hinder the group. She turned, almost as giving in, attempting to find Sabine.

Sadina Rose - Female - 19 - Hunter - Mentions: Sam (kinda), Sabine (indirectly), Laark

Sadina scoffed. "Puh-lease. Shifters lie all the damn time. This is no doubt one of those times." She pulled her hood down and ran her fingers through her long, dark hair, her other hand reaching to pull the piece of fabric down. "You're not telling me you actually believe him, are you? Because that would be insane." She said with a raised eyebrow. She couldn't dream of believing or even trusting a no good shifter. It just wouldn't make any sense.

She sighed softly, putting her hair up into a ponytail. "Besides, the only thing I can think of that we would need to watch out for is that horse. I swear she looked insane." Once her hair was the way she wanted it, she draped it over her shoulder and put her hood up again. Along with the small piece of fabric.
