Alha & Shalah | F | Alpha & Medic | Strays United | M: Harry, Kaara and Pups Alha opened her eyes as she heard the birds start to chirp. There hadn't been any dreams last night, none that she remembered at least. She stretched before padding out of her makeshift den. The camp was quiet other than Harry doing the normal patrols. She had to surpress the urge to jump when a voice stated, "You were gone late again," behind her. She relaxed as her sister came to stand beside her.
"Must you sneak up on me all the time?" Alha said, looking annoyed. Shalah chuckled, "Yes I must when you come home late towing not one but two new dogs and pups. Speaking of which, how did they look last night?" Shalah looked concerned but she was always concerned, that was her job after all. "The mother was hesitant but we all made it back before the dogcatchers went out. She might need a bit of welcoming attention. She's in that den right by the fence." Alha said, nodding towards the small den.
Shalah nodded before heading off. Alha sat down to watch as her sister stuck her head in the can before pulling out a turkey leg. Trotting over, she sat down by the entrance of the den before rolling the food over to the female. In a gentle voice, Shalah said, "My name is Shalah. I'm the healer of this pack. I know it will take time to trust us and you don't have to stay, but if you do, we will protect you and your pups. The streets can be dangerous." She looked over the female to the pups, concern written clearly in her eyes before looking back at the mother. "Are you alright and your pups? Any injuries that I can help with?" She asked, not seeing any visible ones but sensing the female's discomfort.

|Illusion|M|Lead Hunter|Eastern|M: Malicia| Illusion moved his head to get a better look of her shoulder. She was right, it didn't look too bad, he had seen worse. "Fine, but if you start of feel woozy, right to Ianuaria." He said, his deep voice soft, but firm. "I like to see her sleep too, but she can't sleep forever." He said, closing his eyes as he spoke, nodding once as he did so, agreeing with himself. He opened his eyes and chuckled as he thought of how the young Medic was able to put wolves in their place better then their own Alpha when she was angry. He began to gently lick back the fur around her shoulder, trying to see how deep it really was. He found that it didn't seem as bad as he was expecting, but he also had an untrained eye. "Okay, you win." He let out a sigh. "It looks like you'll live, to me at least." He said, nuzzling her cheek again. "Sadly." He teased, a smirk on his face, reparing to be bitten. . He began to lick her neck for a short bit before stopping, and laying his large head on top of hers, gently, careful to not relax all of the muscles in his neck, not wanting to put the full weight of his head on her skull. His tongue swipped around his muzzle once as he closed his eyes, enjoying the moment, after all, how long would peace like this last? There was no telling.

Shadow | M | Alpha | Shadow Forest | M: Bardou Shadow listened to her first words, giving a small smile that quickly turned to frown. Indeed, keeping the balance was hard but that was what he did. The death part of the cycle. When the jaguars had taken his pups, he didn't leave it. In his mind, he had balanced the cycle out again. It kept this pack safe as well, knowing that the jaguars were gone. For now at least. More will show up and he, well, he would just take care of them too. The forest wasn't big enough for both of them and he wouldn't give it up without a fight.
He listened to her next words, sitting down before looking calmly at her. The past was indeed the past but that was also his pack. He closed his eyes for a moment, making it look like a long blink before he said, "Wise words. You sound much like my sister." He turned his attention back to the camp before saying quietly, "The past can only be put behind us if we allow it to. To let go is another matter entirely. Some things are not easy to let go of. To go forward while looking back can run you off a cliff if you are not careful. But what you do after the past will determine your future." His eyes turned back to the female. He was enjoying the conversation to an extent although he was having a slight difficulty keeping up. And a bit annoyed as when he did figure it out that it was like what everyone else has been saying. How lovely.

|Harry|M|Guard|Strays United|M: Alha, Shalah, Lily| Harry lifted his head from where it was laying on his legs at the movement around camp. He blew his floppy ear out of his eye, his one up-standing ear perked forwards. He scanned around, noticing that Shalah was on the move. He watched her closely, not getting up from where he laid. He looked around again, was anyone else up? He went back to watching the Medic enter Alha's den. He blinked, and went from laying down to sitting up, now fully aware and alert of everything. He then stood up and yawned. He picked a walk, and began to sniff around the camps edges again. Nothing had changed, and he had been watching, but one could never be too careful with the other strays... and the wolves. His blood boiled as he thought of wolves. He turned and watched Shalah trot towards the den that was holding the new mother and pups. He walked on, keeping an eye on that den for any trouble that his Medic might face. He then turned his attention to Lily, the newest member of the pack. He sat down and watched her for a couple of minutes. He didn't trust her, but then again, he didn't trust anyone, except of course, his Alpha and Medic. They were the two that he did need to put trust in, just like a farm dog would put trust in his human, and only really his human to be around his flock. His floppy ear flicked at a sound of a can hitting the ground nearby, and looked around, his nose sniffing the air. Doesn't seem to be a threat. He said, dismissing it as he walked back to his shady spot to lay down and go back to watching over camp. A guard dog's work was never done.

Malicia // Queen // Eastern // Mentions: Illusion Malicia raised a brow and huffed softly as she wagged her banner behind her frame. Playfully she rolled her crimson optics. "Or course Alpha Illusion." Malicia teased as she wiggled her flanks to get more cozy as she tilted a bit to stretch her hind legs out better. Her muscles relaxed and her mind a calm lake with few ripples. Malicia let him shift her fur back displaying her shoulder wound to him. The bite she had taken was forceful, but not properly calculated since she had also moved during such an action to counter it. His reply however caused her to chuckle and shift she she was gently nomming on his neck. "Youd make a tastey deer." Malicia smirked as she let him go to allow him to lick her neck and then rest contently upon her cranium. She also fell victime to the peace her own optics falling shut as she focused on him. Malicias breathing slowed to indicate she had fallen asleep content against him and finally calm. Bardou // Huntress // Raven // Mentions: Shadow Bardous audits swiveled as she too shifted about him, her motions calm as she made a breif movement around him. She then shifted back and allowed her muscles to ripple with the movement. It showed how relaxed she was with everything, especially in camp. She didnt value being tense or up tight taking everything in stride. Her pelt just barely brushed against shadows, something she didnt seem to notice. *"Yes thou are correct shadow. What be why letting go and learning from it is a dangerous balance. One that can lead to unintentional harm to ones self."* Bardou stated dipping her cranium in silent understanding. Her chest rumbled with a growl though it was agreeing in nature. He was correct, actions, words, and location all played a large part in ones future. *"Thy Sister sounds like someone I would enjoyed meeting."* Bardou listened to his words and how he said them suggested something happened to her. So while she gathered the female related to him wasnt dead she assumed she wasnt whole either. Bardou found it easy to read underlying emotions. Edited at January 5, 2023 04:42 PM by ~Spice~

Sorrel | F | Scout | Eastern | M: River, Killjoy(Di). Orien and Aquila(Ind). >< Sorrel snickered at Killjoy. "Its not far! How can you miss it?" She rolled her eyes playfully. "You just don't go there 'cause theres lots of brush. I use it most often." She tipped her head. River's positive laugh reassured her that she had said at least one think right. "The funnest way is to slide down," She glanced at Killjoy, barely holding back a comment about him figuring that out earlier. "I'll certainly do so, especially if Killjoy lets me escort you guys. I know the land like the tip of my nose." She joked, though not entirely kidding. She slipped a little on a patchy area with less grass, letting out a little "ack-" before she regained her footing. "So long as he's not listening," Sorrel chuckled, nodding back the the over-alert and distracted alpha behind them. "On- on a cliff?" Her eyes widened and she stuttered a little. "Remind me if I ever come visit." She bared her teeth a little. Heights are not her forte. Actually the opposite. Her heart skipped a beat. "You'll have to climb that with a wound? I'd keep you here till the water dries up a little. The river is probably roaring right now, since that rain. Hopefully not for long." She paused for a minute, listening and figuring out a way they might be able to get the wounded females across without drowning either. Hopefully Night is a big boy and can swim. She jumped a little. Killjoy had stepped on a stick and also jumped. She snickered a little. "You okay?" She asked the Alpha, half paying attention to him and to River. "You mean Orien?" She hesitated. "He's not awful." She chuckled. "I don't know him all too well." Her voice trailed off, going forward a bit because it's a more single-file, half trampled path since Sorrel usually was the only one who used it. They curved around a bend, which was around a bramble of brush and saplings and practically hidden behind a boulder. "Its basically a big right turn from here."

|Sundown|M|Medics Apprentice|Raven|M:Ore, Loki, Brute| Sundown had collected quite a bit of herbs as he carefully picked his path home, not wanting to get mud on his collection. He felt like a pup who was bringing a collection of blue jay feathers that he'd found to show mother. He was excited to hear Ore's take on the herbs that he'd collected, and he wanted to ask about Night, as well as if he'd healed Loki and Brute. He picked up a trot, being close to camp. He felt a bit better about the mud then he would have thought. He took a deep breath in of the herbs, and regretted it almost immediately after. He held back a cough and sneeze, his eyes tearing up from all the strong smells mixed together. He heard what sounded like Bardou letting the camp know that she was returning. His tail tucked, and ears went back, tears still streaming down his face. He stopped in a bush, and looked at the entrance, hoping that no one was blocking it. He picked up a swift, and quick sprint and bolted for it, scuttering past anyone who was by the entrance. He slowed as he approched the Medic's den. He laid the herbs out before going and finding Ore in her den. . He poked his head into her den, and saw his mentor sleeping. His ears perked as he thought of ways to wake her. Would he do the classic pounce on her? Nah. He wasn't good at pouncing, and didn't feel like embarrassing himself. Would he breath in her ear until she woke up? No... That was terrifying to wake up to, and he wouldn't like it if someone did that to him. He settled on an option, and stalked forwards, careful to make very little sound. . He stopped just next to the sleeping Medic. He watched for a couple of minutes before gently leaning over her, and pressed his cold, wet nose to her paw pads. He then stepped back, scared of what her reaction would be. "Ore." He whispered, yellow eyes laced with a bit of fear, although, he wasn't sure why he was, or should be scared.

Kaara & Pups | F | Queen | Strays United | M: Alha, Shalah. >< Kaara watched Alha and Shalah, her eyes narrowed. She could tell they were talking back didn't care enough to listen. She curled further around her pups as Shalah went to the can. Her ears pinned. She growled lightly in warning as she approached. She had completely covered her squirming pups in her fur, something irking her about when they told her they knew she had pups. She didn't respond at all really, forcing back a growl. She eyed the chicken, not intending to grab it until Shalah left. They have a healer? Her eyes twitched a bit, her glare softening. "No, we're fine. Thank you." She said in a light voice, still poised very protectively, but she let up on such a little. "I'm Kaara." She hesitantly uncurled a bit. "The red one is Teeli, the black one is Spade." She introduced her pups as calmly as she could manage. She knew she should let up a little, not many dogs would deliberately harm her pups but she could never be too sure.

Torrin & Justice | F | Scout & Scout Apprentice | Eastern | M: Illusion, Malicia The older sister sighed after Torrin hadn't come back for a few. Worry growing within her as she quickly stood. Heading toward the only two people she'd thought would care.. Well. At least she'd hoped one would. Trotting into the den, she looked at the two with her auditories low to her crania. "I'm sorry to disturb you.. But would one of you please come help me look for Torrin?" she asked, hoping neither of them would get upset. "Because after the little outburst earlier.. She got rather upset and ran off.. I know I'm a fool for asking you guys." she sighed but kept standing there. Her crania now held high as her tail swung from side to side. Justice just wanted help incase the loner from earlier would come back. She knew the two sisters could hold their own, but didn't want either of them hurt. It was bad enouh Malicia had stupidly provoked the loner into a fight and got herself injured. Meanwhile.. Out in the woods... The younger sister would lay within the thickets and brush. Her audits flattened against her crania as she rolled in the dir to mask her scent before moving farther into the wilderness. Torrin felt.. Embarrassed, maddened.. Mainly jealousy. But, she didn't have a right for it. So.. why did she feel it? Her heart pounded within her chest. The female soon started silently sobbing, slowly falling asleep.

Aster | F | 4 | Hunter | Eastern | M: Torrin, Justice, Illusion, Malicia. >< Aster stretched out in her den that she shared with Sorrel, not related but they were friends, roommates pretty much and were fine with sleeping near each other so, why not? She glanced around, Sorrel wasn't around. She shrugged, she had morning patrol probably. She yawned and stretched, stepping out of the den with her fur bristled, goosebumps from the stretch. She looked around and spied Justice, not with her sister? In front of Illusion's den. She narrowed her eyes and padded over, yawning again, catching a whiff of the words. She slowed down a bit and tipped her head. "Good morning. Or afternoon. If I slept in- Who ran off? Torrin?" Her shook off her coat and wedged her ears toward Justice. nodding at the pair in the den who were cuddling, it seemed. She didn't want to interrupt them. Her eyes were lively, well rested and needing something to do. She wondered why Torrin would run off again. "I can help you look for her." She offered her services with a positive tone.
