Katie/4/Alpha/F

Before Katie left she said "I have been in the forest I'm going to go to the river."Katie just couldn't sit still anymore and walked away back to the river to get a drink. She made it to the river and bent her head down to take a drink. She could see Red-Star in the corner of her vision.

"I lived with my parents and Red-Star in a cave near a large river. When we were pups, we used to play in it. There was also a meadow on the other side. We would sometimes cross the river and try to catch all of the butterflies. We didn't have a big pack. It was just us which was fine. Everybody was happy. Well until...until we were separated....but I...I don't remember how. Red-Star and I just appeared here, confused." Black-Sun sighed and twitched her ear. "What was your life like?" she asked, seeing Katie walk off toward the river.

Noctem watched as Katie walked away without a word, then shrugged and turned his attention back to Black-Sun, listening to their story. When asked about his old life, Noctem looked down at the ground for a moment. "I was part of a pack," he said. "I was a middle-ranking hunter. My brothers and I would always compete to see who could bring our parents the best prey, but we were never quite able to outdo one another." Noctem smiled at the memory. "The last time I saw them was on a hunt," he said. "We were chasing a deer, and suddenly I felt something stick into my neck and before I knew it, I was asleep. When I woke up, I was in one of the humans cages."

Black-Sun sees Noctem look down at the ground while explaining and Black-Sun thought that he probably missed his family. Black-Sun missed her parents. She was lucky though. She was here with her brother and many are here alone, not knowing if they will ever find their way back to their old pack. Black-Sun looks back at Noctem. "Sometimes to admit something sad or bad that had happened, you'll feel better doing it because someone will always understand you." Black-Sun thought. It was a saying that her mother always said if she thought Red-Star or Black-Sun were lying. Thinking of her mother, Black-Sun blinks, trying to keep tears forming. It works but she hoped that Noctem hadn't noticed her fast blinking.

Noctem noticed that Black-Sun seemed a little upset. That's probably my fault, he thought. I shouldn't have brought up such a painful subject. Noctem met Black-Sun's gaze, a concerned expression on his face. "Are you alright?" he asked quietly. "I'm sorry if talking about our past lives isn't something you're comfortable with."

Alaska had gotten a hold of the wolf's neck. The wolf rolled over in an attempt to get her off. Alaska bit down harder for a second, enough to leave a mark but not enough to break skin. She jumped off the wolf, giving her time to recover. After all, she enjoyed a fair fight.

Moon didn't do nothing, since she never showed anything during a fight. she sat down and waited for the wolf to make it's next move.

MoonBeam woke up to talking in the distance. "I must've fallen asleep. I guess I was really tired." She told herself. She stood up and stretched out. Then, she walked forward. She saw many trees. She walked by some wolves that she recognized and some that she didn't. She walked over to the river. She saw Katie drinking from the river and Red-Star was....hunting? Whatever he was doing, he hadn't noticed MoonBeam and Katie. MoonBeam got a quick drink and left. She walked over and weaved around several trees. She layed down about 15 feet away from Black-Sun and Noctem. MoonBeam lay there, listening to the wind. It was soothing and calming. She liked the wind going through her fur. Not wanting to go to sleep. MoonBeam tried to listen to mainly the wind. Every once in a while, she got a few words from Black-Sun and Noctem's conversation, other than that, she listened to the calmness of the wind.

Katie tried to stay calm as she saw Red-star i n the side of her vision. She started to cry unsuccessful at staying calm. Katie couldn't help the way she felt about Red-Star. She decided that she would just tell him at some point even though he probably thought they were just friends.

Black-Sun looked at Noctem. "No...I'm fine. It's just...I keep remembering what my parents always used to say and.....and it reminded me of them." Black-Sun said trying to keep smiling. She had to keep herself happy so others would be too. She was fine but her parents were still stuck in her head. She stood up and shook her fur and layed back down. She wondered what the other wolves' lives were like.

Red-Star kept hunting. He saw several wolves walk to the river and get a drink. He ignored them and kept looking for a different fish than a salmon. "Why are there SO many salmon?! Why can't there be....other fish??!!" Red-Star growled under his breath. He kept looking, getting close to a small waterfall with every step. He then slipped on a rock and fell, hitting his paw on a rock. Once he made it to the bottom, he stood up, holding his front left paw up, and looked up the about 6-foot waterfall. At least the waterfall was small and the river was calm or Red-Star could've gotten hurt real bad. He looked around it and there were rocks everywhere and they were all slippery, making it hard to climb back up to where the others were at. "This is okay. I can just find a fish here. It'll work just as well." Red-Star said, looking at the bright side of things. He went back to looking for a different fish for Katie.
