Isabel||Water Dragon||Female||90||M: Terra,Lira,Dawn

Isabel looked at Terra as she moved and noticed she was heading in the direction of another dragon. She ran up to Terra but still kept her distance glaring at the air dragon. Isabel noticed another women who was what she guessed to be Terra's sister. Her instincts were saying not to let Terra be close to the air dragon. She turned whipping her tail at the air dragon obviously saying back up.

Isabel didn't like the fact that she might end up being with an air dragon for most of the year. She didn't like it because of some history with them. Considering the fact the female dragon was an air one but also Terra's sister's dragon didn't help. Isabel turned to face the air dragon growling. She thought I will spray if needed.

Isabel wasn't one to be so territorial so she didn't know what was wrong. She looked the female air dragon in the eye before she lashed out. Isabel thought What is wrong with me!? She sighed internally before she glared at the air dragon but this time in a apologetic way because she didn't know what the behavior was about. Isabel would have an sorry expression if it wasn't for the instincts she was having.

Nicodemus Brooks
Squad Leader | Male | Dragon Rider | Mentions: Brontes, Riders [Ind.]

Quietly Nicodemus listened to the rational voice of his dragon, always appreciating his insight on pretty much everything. He shifted his weight where he sat, rolling his shoulders a bit, nodding to the dragons words. He automatically brought his left hand up to rub at the stiffness in his right shoulder and glanced at Brontes a moment before speaking.

"I'm hoping for diversity, but I'm hoping we don't get too many hot heads. It's hard to focus hot-headed teenagers and dragons towards a common goal. I know our class took a moment to put pride aside to work together, and it'll be even harder for a larger group. But they'll learn, they'll have to," he grumbled the last part, letting his hand fall from his shoulder as the tightness slow relieved.

"Though it looks like we aren't going to be short on fire dragons," his face wrinkled a bit, naturally not fond of the tempermental dragons. He didn't have an issue with them necessarily, but they were naturally a more difficult dragon to deal with, and there seemed to be several of them so far. "But there's a balance of others, which should help," he murmured and leaned forward a moment.

"Recognize anyone?" he repeated the question, his eyes narrowing as he glared down at the students below. There appeared to be a bit of a confrontation forming, his muscles tensing as a result. He rose to his feet as he watched, nodding at Brontes before he answered.

"Actually.. yes.." a sigh pulled from his lips and he shook his head, loose locks of inky waves shadowing his features for a moment and then motioned downwards. "The dark haired boy with the longer hair is my little brother, half-brother, Mircea... the kid with the gigantic bag," he grumbled as he saw it tossed around a bit, "I believe is my cousin." His eyes remained locked on the scene, completely tense as he watched.

"The fool that seems to be getting in between a fire dragon and apparently it's rider," he shook his head in frustration. Rising to his full height, not realizing how hard he had been leaning forward, he turned his attention fully to his dragon. "Lets be prepared to get down there if we need to. I don't want to have to explain to our mother that our brother got his head taken off because he thought it was a good idea to piss of a fire dragon," without a second a thought Nico pulled himself into the saddle that rested on Brontes' getting comfrotable in it with ease. At this point, it's was almost natural for him to ride the water dragon, to the point where he didn't need a saddle as much, but he still preferred it so he always had a means to hold on if something happened.

"I didn't want to go down until everyone had been chosen, however, I do want to prevent any confrontations from becoming physical, so just be ready," he murmured, patting the male's neck gently. He trusted Brontes' judgement, and relaxed in the saddle a bit, letting him decide when it was time to go.

Cernunnos Capakan
Earth Dragon | Male | Mentions: Kavik, Other Dragons & Riders [Ind.]

Whilist basking in the sun, the earth dragon could hear multiple interactions that were occuring around him. It seemed tensions were a bit high, with dragons and riders in general. He could hear a couple of commotions between the riders, one or maybe two between a couple of dragons, and, oddly enough, even one between a rider and another dragon. The dear boy, he could tell by the voice, had the audacity to threaten a dragon, which caused a soft chuckle to leave Cern's jowels. He had no desire to get involved, but he found the whole ordeal mildly amusing, and truly foolish.

It was around then that a nagging feeling pulled at his conscious, causing the lizard-like dragon to lift his head, eyes glancing around quietly. It was that instinctive feeling that he was being watched that was pulling his attention in the direction away from the other riders and dragons. At first he wasn't sure what it was until that pulling sensation in his chest seemed to pulsate as his gaze, as bleary as it was, landed upon the hazy form of another human.

'Odd' he thought to himself as he observed the boy, his nostrils flaring dramatically as he inhaled trying to catch the scent of the one watching him. Curiosity pricked at his thick skin and he pushed to his feet, a lazy ease to the way he moved. He slid around, his belly brushing the ground, with his tail dragging behind him. Could he lift himself more? Yes, but he was feeling lazy, and didn't feel like it. If he could slither over he would.

Slowly he walked over, his gait barely above a waddle, his vision clearing as he drew nearer. Once he was close enough he appraised the young man quietly, finding him to be a well built creature of fine appearance, a perfectly good specimen of the human species. Despite starting at him, there was a relative disinterest about the whole spectable that Cernunnos found a bit appealing. So he drew closer.

"Hello, dear boy," he spoke as he drew clearer, and the feeling in his chest pulsated greatly before fading. So this creature was his human. Interesting.

He stepped closer, no doubt invading the human's space at this point, and inhaled deeply, commiting his scent to memory. After a moment he rocked back slightly onto his haunches, tail thumping the ground as he got comfortable. He parted his jaws in a yawn, rows of teeth revealed for a moment, before closing quickly.

"I am Cernunnos Capakan, though you may call me whatever you please. Even 'dragon' would do, I'm not picky. But I believe I am to be your dragon. What is your name, boy?" The male lifted a front leg, and gently scratched his chest, before placing it on a fallen branch before him. Bright orange eyes remained locked on the face of the young man in front of him.

Calemira
Light Dragon | Female | Mentions: Vasuki, Rinecess [Semi Ind.]

Gently movement and a low voice stirred the female from her slumber and she let out an audible groan in protest. "Vasukiiii," she murmured, tossing a clawed foot over her eyes as she began to awaken. "I was sleeping so peacefully," she whined softly, parting her lids to peer at him through her claws. She puffed at him softly, but faint smile spread over her features a bit. "But fine," she finally gave in, and slowly pushed to her feet, wings snuggly against her sides as she did.

Quietly she watched him before getting ready to leave herself. There wasn't much to it herself, but she had to grab the object she woud give to her rider, as well as the shawl she would wear over her eyes. Based on the light trickling in through the entrance of the cave, it was going to be a brighter day out, so her sensitive eyes would need to be covered.

Deciding on a sheer, pale pink cover, the female carefully wrapped it around her head and neck in it's normal way, draping it carefully over her eyes. It protected her eyes, and only hindered her vision a bit, allowing her to fly without being too impaired. Besides the eye cover, she wore her normal golden adornments on her body, always enjoying the cool metal of her jewelry.

Once she decided she was good to go, she walked out to where the dark dragon waited, his figure towering over her significantly smaller one. She nodded to him before diving off the mountain herself, her wings tucking against her in a sharp dive, before she pulled up to follow after the larger male. He made flying look so easy, and she worked to keep up with the speed his larger wings could produce. Quietly she cursed at him from where she flew behind him.

"Must be nice having large wings," she snorted as she lifted up and dove back down towards him, allowing herself to gain speed to glide near him in order to keep up. Eventually the pair reached the desitination and she followed him into the forest where she landed with ease, tucking her wings gently to once against cover her sides. Trotting forward, she only stopped once she could see the gathering of dragons and humans out in the clearing. Her pink colored eyes glanced to Vasuki before she nodded gently to his words.

"I suppose it's only fair we make an entrance since we seem to be a bit late," she offered a brilliant smile to the male before jumping up on his back and laying down quietly. Even though she was a dragon, her smaller size fit easily on the back of the larger dragon. She tucked her wings in carefully, and laid her head on the back of his neck, letting out a content sigh.

"Whenever you are ready, my love," she spoke, though her eyes were already peering out towards the humans. She could make out the small frame of a human who seemed to catch her attention. Was this her rider? It was possible, she seemed to be a smaller woman, and Mira doubted the fates would give her a rider she couldn't carry.

A faint light began to glow from the female's ivory scales, a sign of contentment, but also something of her own doing. She would amp it up to a full on blinding light once she was closer, but for now she just glowed enough to pull the attention of anyone looking in their direction. Like a faint beacon. Surely if the girl was her rider she would see it and have her eyes already in their direction by the time they emerged from the forest and the smoke, not that Mira could be seen from where she rested on the larger dragon's back.

Terra Wild-Heart | 17 | female | Rider | Isabel | M: Isabel, Lira, Dawn, Vasuki + Calemira (ind)
And just as quickly as the strange kindness spell had fallen on Terra, it disappeared. What was Isabel doing? She had been fine only moments ago. Terra could see Isabel fighting an internal battle, and she had meant to try to come off as helpful. Instead...
"Isabel! What did my sister or her dragon ever do to you?" Terra unwound herself from her sister, and came to stand at her dragon's side. Terra shook her head, then tried again. "I'm sorry, that sounded better in my head. But, this is my sister, and I have no intention of abandoning her. Lira needs me, so could you try to get along with her dragon?" Terra spoke quietly enough for only Isabel to be able to hear. Then, to Lira, "Lira, this is Isabel. Isabel, Lira." Terra glanced over at the air dragon, trying to hint that Lira should tell Terra her own dragon's name. But as Terra looked, her eyes drifted over to a cloud of rapidly growing fog. "What in the..." Then some sort of light started glowing from the center of the fog. "What is that?"

Mircea Crylor | 17 | Male | Mentions: Hartley, Micheal, Valine, Roxanne, Other Riders (Briefly)

The young male bristled as he stared down the dragon. Awaiting it's response. He didn't care if he made it angry, he wasn't about to lose Roxanne again. She was scared of the dragon and yet it didn't seem to understand that - actually, now that he looked at the dragon it looked quite happy to see Roxanne. Happy to see it's rider - and his face sort of softened by he still stood in front of Roxanne protectively with his arms crossed. Before he could make another quip - a voice entered his mind.

Little one. You are far mistaken. You are too measly and weak to take on a dragon of the Fire Class, let alone gut it with your experience. I doubt you'd survive the first few seconds of such a battle. The voice was warm and motherly in a way, and he turned to see a giant Earth Dragon behind him, and he had to gape in awe. His amber eyes were possibly sparkling in excitement at being chosen - yet, he was sort of disappointed in not getting a dragon that could fly very well, but he wouldn't let that weigh him down.

Measly? Weak? I am no such thing, I've seen bigger fire dragons than this one on my Aunt's expeditions. Your scales are super pretty! Oh my stars, I have my own dragon! His eyes lighting up even more as he spoke to her telepathically, I don't care if it seems foolish if I jumped in front of this dragon, I haven't seen this girl in ages. And she was scared for a reason - so I don't want her to be uncomfortable. It may not seem like it now but she'd do the same for me if the situation was reverse.

He looked at Roxanne and he walked over towards her more and helped move the compass, so it was right beside her and not squashing her. Gods, that thing was heavy he groaned inwardly, had that been the gift from her dragon and that's why she gave it a dagger? That was very interesting. He hoped she would be okay once she realized she wasn't in danger like she thought she was. He gave her a small nudge on her shoulder.

"You alright Roxie?" He said concerned, "if you need me I'm right here besides you. Don't hesitate to come back if you can't do it, I might not know what's plaguing your mind right now but I'm right here - alright? I just don't want to lose you again.."

He turned to the dragon and sighed, "Look I'm sorry if I came off as rude and brash , I am usually more composed that this" he said scratching the back of his neck. "I just am protective of my friend here. I have seen her in close to six years and now she's here and for some reason afraid of you. So could you please tone it down...I didn't mean to say what I said - I just said it to get you off her back, she's my best friend and I would do anything for her even if it means getting between her and a dragon. I hope you can forgive me." And he gave a small dip of an apology. He then turned at the sound of a new voice.

His eyes widened as he saw his younger cousin looking at the dragons in awe. And he smiled, glad his cousinh was there with him. He was about to tell him to come and say hello, but a enraged fire dragon caught his attention, and he scrambled to his feet before tackling Hartley out of the way of the angry creature. His breath was panicked as he looked at Hartley, cupping his face.

"Are you alright? Did I hurt you? You need to be more aware of your surrounding. Did you take down your hair?!" He was fussing over his cousin as he helped the later up before noting the dragon had made a beeline for Micheal.

He watched, rather amused as Micheal promptly proceeded to faint in front of his dragon. Serves him right, and he held in a cackle and looked rather smugly at the male, he would get him later on about his fainting spell. He got out of his thoughts and nudged Hartley saying, "Come on, Roxanne and my dragon are over here."

He proceeded to walk over to where the small group was and look at his dragon with a rather excited expression, which was rare for others to see, My name is Mircea Crylor and this is my gift to you as your Rider - he spoke telepathically and he riffled through his bags to reveal an assortment of bejeweled golden horn rings, they belonged to my grandfathers' and fathers' dragons, I hope you like them.

And he presented the rings to her with a rather sheepish expression on his face. But one that held hope that she liked the gift.

Dan | Fire Dragon | 100 | Male | M: Roxanne, Mircea, Valine (ind)

“What.”

Dan cocked his head slightly to the left by his human’s only word. Could she not say anything else? What was wrong? Did she not like the gift? Maybe he should’ve saved some of Momma’s lizard for her. She might’ve liked that better. To his relief, Roxanne continued to speak. This time a sentence. Oh good, she could talk more and she liked the compass! He couldn’t help but smile when she thanked him for his gift. She was nice and courteous. She then gave him a thin sliver of metal. Dan hadn’t noticed Roxanne’s dagger. It was sort of like a needle to him, or a bit of clipped toenail. It was sort of cute even if he wasn’t too sure what it was or what it did. Because it was a gift from his human, he accepted it gladly. It seemed like it was going perfectly! Then she opened her mouth and spoke words that crushed his excited spirit.

“Are you going to burn me?”

He recognized a sharp, stinky scent that reminded him of a marsh mixed with a puddle of dead worms. It was the smell of fear. He had scared his human. That was not okay. He stared at her and met her terrified eyes. Her body language reminded him of those poor, innocent lizards before he devoured them. Tears welled up in his eyes and threatened to drip down his cheeks. Both because he regretted all of those lizards and because this day was not going as well as he hoped it would. His human, although polite and generous, trembled in his presence. What would Momma say? She’d tell him to suck it up and answer the poor girl’s question. So he did. He lifted one of his great paw-shaped feet and wiped away the salty pools in his eyes. He cleared his throat once so that he could talk clearly. Although this seems unnecessary since he communicated to her through his mind, it was actually not. Telepathy was just like talking. The conditions of his body affected the sound of his voice in her mind. At least it did for him. He wasn't sure how it worked for others.

No,” there was a slight tremor, “I will not burn you. I will never burn you. That is not right. Momma didn’t raise a mean dragon, well, except for Todd. Todd’s mean.” He realized that that was not the his point and he was going down a lizard trail. “But I’m not Todd! I’m Dan. Dan the dragon, Dan your dragon and I would die for you. Even if I was Todd, I still couldn’t do anything. I haven’t eaten in days. See,” he pointed to his dull scales. “If I was running hot they’d be shiny and bright.”

He smiled nervously again. He hoped that his words didn’t come off too shaking. He waited for her to answer and sat down on his haunches like a loyal dog would. Then a small voice entered his mind. He rather liked it. His smile grew broader. She wanted him to help pick it up.

“Of course! Yes!”

His tail was up and wagging again. His human talked to him! His human was starting to like him! His human was the best. He just knew it. Then this other human popped up out of nowhere. Brown hair whose do looked like it took hours to finish, fancy nancy clothes, and gold make up. Dan actually liked the bit of gold, it reminded him of his own gold undertones. The creature was upset. Not how his lovely rider had been, but this one was angry and defensive. Gut me! He might kill me! He must be a bad human. You shouldn’t kill unless you need food or something has attacked you. I have not attacked anyone.

“You are a bad human.” He told Mircea. “Please go away.”

Then an earth dragon emerged right behind the little, angry, bad human. Very curious. He hadn’t seen an earth dragon in a while. Maybe the earth dragon’s human was this one. Maybe they’ll teach him some manners. He was glad that his rider was good. Or at least he was pretty sure she was good. He watched as the boy tried to pick up the compass.

The angry human then turned back to talk to him. He apologized and explained that he and Roxanne were best friends. Dan snorted. He didn’t like that his good human was friends with a bad human. However, this one seemed truly sorry. The dragon searched in his eyes to see if there was any trace of lies. He couldn’t see anything, but he was still suspicious. He looked back at his rider.

“Can a bad human later be a good human?” He asked her.

He trusted her judgement because she was his human and she was also the angry human’s friend. He knew that the boy was struggling with the weight of the compass and decided to take it from him, because it was Roxanne’s after all, but it was pitiful to watch Mircea. Gently, he plucked the compass from Mircea’s hold and put it in the same hand where his tiny dagger was.

“I can hold it.”

Lira Wild-Heart||Female||16||Rider||M: Dawn, Terra, Isabel, Vasuki + Calemira (ind)

Lira looked at her sister in shock at how harsh she sounded towards the water dragon. Lira sighed when she calmed down and introuduced her dragon whose name is Isabel. She stood up shaing the dirt from her dress. She got the leaves out of her hair while she was waiting. Lira had let her hair down before leaving the house in the morning.

Lira looked at Dawn and then said "Terra this is Dawn my dragon and Dawn this is my sister Terra with her dragon." She looked to Terra and said "Sorry about leaving you home i was gonna come back after i ate but i thought i was late but was early." She had a experssion only her sister could read for many reasons. One reason being Dawn and Isabel.

She jumped pouncing on her sister when she noticed the fog. Lira was curious about the fog but didn't think much of it. As she had her sister pinned down now right next to Isabel. Lira giggled slightly before getting up. She reached out a hand to help her sister up.

⸻「 Rinecess 」⸻

Female || Rider || 18 Years || Mentions: Calemira, Vasuki { ind. } Other Riders { ind. }

Glancing around, Rin sighed in disappointment. Not that she was jealous or anything of the other riders, whether they had a dragon, no.

She was more bored than anything.

Jesus fucking christ. What am I even doing here? Nothing is even happening.

Rolling her eyes, the young woman yawned plainly, snapping her knuckles accordingly after she closed her lips. However, she began to think of what it would be like to have her own dragon, someone who'd obey her, and trust her.. for whom she was or whom they thought she was. Well- don't Dragons what, read minds or something? Her dragon would most likely know everything thats going on in her head... right? Shit. She should have paid more attention to her studies- crap.

What would her dragon do if the creature knew her antics and schemes against others- would it rebel against her? Would it kill her? Wait... can dragon's kill their own riders? Or would they harm them? To knock some sense into them. Or maybe they'd burn their riders just like an apple crisp pie... oo that actually sounded good right now.

Maybe, after all of this, she'd get someone to make herself some Apple Pie. Yes. Sounds like a lovely plan!

The corner of Rin's lip curled upwards in a crooked smile, thinking to herself, about pie and if dragons could commit homicide towards their riders. So many questions.. now she knew why studies were more important. Ugh.

Resting her palm on the smooth, grey rock, her fingers rolling down the edges of the boulder, as far as she could go without falling idiotically. The rough texture was smooth, yet rough, warm but cool. It felt perfect, like a pillow. Almost. Besides the fact you couldn't throw yourself into it, unless you felt like breaking your skull.. or nose, depending on how you'd throw yourself into a pillow-like boulder. Now that she really thought about it- comparing a pillow to a boulder texture wise was not the smartest of comparisons.

Around her, she heard shouts, cries of either crybabies or overexcited goodie twoshoes. It was plainly annoying.

"Can you guys not sh-" as she spoke, she looked upwards, only to have her eye caught by a faint, quite bland light above. Then, it grew slightly brighter, as if it were a moving object coming towards her- or.. the clearing rather.

Yes, it was rather plain and bland looking light, as if you were looking at a crummy lampost. But it was quite, attracting. Rin had the urge to get up from her place on the boulder suddenly, and investigate the strange light. Her body began to slide down the boulder softly, her hands dragging behind her, all up until her feet reached the ground. She leaned against the boulder with her hand, continuing to stare off into the distance towards the light.

One being too far away it seemed, she couldn't exactly tell what it was.

Vasuki
Dark Dragon || Masculine || Mentions: Mira, Vivienne

The side of his lips curled up in a pleased grin, revealing a set of jagged teeth. Behind the trees, his white, pupiless eyes stared out at the crowd as his jaw had unclenched, allowing dark smoke to leak from his mouth. On it seeped, twisting through the forest until it pushed itself out into the valley.

"Too much?" He had asked Mira, neck curling so that his head faced her own. Upon his back she lay, a feeling that he had grown used to. There was clear amusement interlaced in his voice, his throat rumbling with mirth.

"That one is mine," he spoke to Mira, raising a singular claw and directing it towards the girl. "And yours?" He had briefly acknowledged his human, at least, he believed that it was her. A girl. No older than eighteen, if he recalled how human years worked. Perhaps younger, though truly, Vasuki wasn't entirely sure. Regardless, she was suitable enough, with dark hair to match his own colouring. It was she who he felt a pull towards, and if not her, then somebody within his vicinity. Though he was almost certain that his initial answer was correct.

His words had not lasted long, for the moment Mira had emitted her radiant glow, Vasuki's breath had only increased it's thickness and speed. Now, it encircled them as it ran from his widened nostrils and agape mouth. Like thick fog it ran, appearing more like liquid than anything else. He had allowed it to run moments longer before advancing. It was not a leisurely speed he had embarked on, but a rapid one. He had shot forward, his movements weaving like a snake. With his body sunken to the ground and his head low, he weaved through the fog, only to pause in the middle of the valley.

The only thing anybody could see among the thick fog was their silhouettes due to Mira's glow. Behind the smoke, Vasuki had stood onto his hind legs, his wings expanding. He had begun to flap them, clearing away the fog before falling onto all fours once more, the ground around him vibrating. His wings had remained open before slowly falling to his side, revealing the form of Mira upon his back.

Was he doing too much? Possibly.

He had stood there for a brief moment, his head assessing the crowd before his eyes flickered onto the girl. Tongue flickering from his mouth, his body lowered, allowing Mira to step off of him rather than climb or jump. "Let's be quick.. I shall meet you afterwords." There was an uneasiness in his tone having been surrounded by so many humans. He did not fear them, but he feared certain ones. The same ones who had stolen his horn and maimed his face. More than anything, he feared for Mira. "I will be near." He assured her, or perhaps himself. He wasn't entirely certain. "Good luck," he had added on as he watched her, and he would, even throughout the duration of the meeting.

He had waited for Mira to advance first so that he could note the direction she went in dare anything transpire. He would watch until she approached her human, to which his head finally snapped forward once more. He was right, the girl was his. So, eyes upon the girl, his human, Vasuki begun to move. Once more, it was no slow walk, but a swift one. He had sprinted at full force, slithering through the crowd and knocking half of them onto their backs. During the process, he had snapped at the humans, teeth clicking together as he hissed at them in warning. Until, at last, he stopped, towering over her.

Tails rattling behind him, his neck curled around the girl abruptly. Once. Twice. Like a snake, until he had her fully trapped.

Hello, little girl.

Hissing his words out, his throat rumbled, as if he were laughing.

Such a small, small thing you are, but you'll do.

The right side of his face halted before her own, his eye staring at her. It flickered up and down, like a reptile before blinking, a transparent eyelid covering his white eye.

You may call me Vasuki. What did they name you..? No matter, I bring a gift.

All at once, he untwisted his neck so that he may present to her his gift. A single amethyst. Purple, like him, and a rare type. Between his claws it rested, to which he offered it to her. Carefully, he watched her, observing her reaction. She would like it, she must. He had handpicked it from his very own collection.

We shall have so very much fun together, you and I.
