Alaska growled at the wolf she could now see in the bushes. Her fur bristled more as she bared her teeth at the wolf. She might have been a loner, but she would be more than willing to claim some territory to get a head start.

She realized that this wasn't like her, but she didn't care. She wanted this new territory for herself.

"Hey," Black-Sun whispered. "you like Katie don't you! I won't tell her but you need to. You're being so shy. Just tell her the truth. It won't hurt you or her. Please, she'll be happy if you do. All you have to do is confess, confess your love to her, and she'll be so happy! Don't worry if she likes you or not, just be yourself. Now go sit out there and tell her!" Black-Sun said, by the end standing. She hoped the short speech was enough for Red-Star.

Red-Star listened to Black-Sun's short speech and stood up. He nodded a thank you to his sister and went back to sit by Katie."I'm sorry if I made you sad about saying that we're just friends...um I hope you aren't mad at me." Red-Star said. He saw his sister move her paw in a circle saying keep going. "Katie..I...I gotta tell..tell you something." Red-Star waited for her to ask what, hoping that she would.

Katie looked at Red-Star then turned her head she was still hurt from the way he said we are just friends. She doesn't look at him. She thought he will probably just say that we are only friends agian. Katie lays on the ground and huffs at Red-star.

Michael hears Red-star then he looks at Katie. He thought the comment about just being friends must have hurt her. He looked at Red-Star and waited to see what he will do. Michael lays down next to Kayori and keeps an ear on Katie and Red-star.

Red-Star is mad at himself. "Red-Star...why'd you do that. Maybe it's best to leave her alone. Leaving her for a while might heal her but she might never trust me again." Red-Star thought. He opened his mouth to talk but chose not to. He stood up and walked over to Black-Sun and layed down behind a tree so the others couldn't see him. "It d..didn't work Black-Sun. Now she's mad at me. I don't know what to do...help me..please." Red-Star told Black-Sun, starting to tear up. "What did I do wrong?" Red-Star asked, folding his ears back.

Watching Red-Star slowly walk towards her, Black-Sun knew that it didn't go well. She listened to Red-Star ask her questions. When he was done, Black-Sun wiped the tears from his eyes. "Hopefully she'll get over it in a little bit. Until then, you can catch some food for her." Black-Sun told her brother, hoping he would cheer up. "By the way, you might've hurt her feelings by telling Kayori and um...Micheal that you two are just friends. It'll be fine." Black-Sun watched as her brother slowly sat up. Black-Sun walked a little farther away from Red-Star, giving him space.

Red-Star stood up after his sister finished talking and she walked away. He looked around and saw a river nearby. He ran toward it and took a little drink. He watched fish jump up and down in the river. Red-Star layed down on the edge of the river. He buried his snout under his paws. A silent tear rolled down his fur. "Why is she mad? I don't understand."

Katie got up and went into to the forest. She said out loud "are we really just friends well to him at least." Katie had her ears fold back and her tail down. She looked around to make sure she was out of ear shot. Katie howled a very sad one when she was done she said agian "am I really just a friend to him or I'm I not good enough for him." Katie kept saying this over and over again.

Black-Sun looked up at the wolf hovering over her. "My name? Oh, it's Black-Sun. Who are you?" Black-Sun asked, still wondering if Red-Star was doing okay. She turned for a moment and hoped that he was doing good. She then turned back to the wolf, waiting for his response.
